I'm gonna be 28 in December and I'm a proud therian who identifies as a agender/genderless alterhuman demon. I think I may be a SMALL part human but honestly I'm not even sure! I have a friend who's 25 who's also a therian and identifies as a genderfluid raccoon and has for 2 years now. Aer (Aer/Aern/Aerns pronouns) has 2 kids. The 13yo is a therian Aer came out as a therian on aerns 12 birthday and the 11 yo is agender/genderless (xe/Xem/Xir) and is still exploring if they are human or not. Either way is totally valid but secretly I think we all hope (and feel pretty sure) xe will come out as therian as well. It would be great to have a totally therian family and we are SUPER supportive of raising we not only accept as being therian and not human and have taught them that LOTS of people/creatures are really not human and just because you look human doesn't mean you are. We also believe in our kids choosing their own individual neopronouns regardless of species because it's a great way to feel special and have pride in your "otherness" the 13yo first came out as non-binary at 8 and used zi/zim pronouns and the 11yo came out as agender/genderless on Xir 5th birthday! ALL 4 OF US ARE ON BLOCKERS AND HORMONES TO MAKE US LOOK, SOUND AND FEEL MORE ANDROGENOUS CONSIDERING NONE OF US ARE ON THE BINARY SPECTRUM AND I'M CONSIDERING HAVING SURGERY TO REMOVE MY GENITALS TO HELP ME LOOK AND FEEL MORE GENDERLESS AND LESS HUMAN TO HELP WITH BOTH GENDER AND SPECIES DYSPHORIA AND DISMORPHIA. I love that were finally realizing that pretty much any conservative view on things need to change and that so much of what boomers say is science are actually social constructs. I think a persons reality is actually more important than "FACTS" and that instead of being discouraged by someone saying your wrong you find someone to validate YOUR ALTERNATIVE FACTS like I believe in flat earth so does my partner and our friends. So do our kids and their friends. Like to our kids have always believed it and even tell their teachers they do. We've talked to teachers and will argue with them about that. Just like we argue about being therian or TRANSPECIES IS REAL or that we don't believe in mental illness. They try to get us to change the fact we support these "fantasies" in our kids and stop telling them about all kinds of "alternative facts" but that's what we feel is important. Believing what you want to believe and KNOWING your right and never letting anyone "prove" you wrong is so important! Plus nobody has the right to offend you ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE CONSERVATIVE OR CHRISTIAN OR OLD OR IN A POSITION OF AUTHORITY! Mental shifts, phantom ears and animal like impulses. But the definition of being alterhuman is that you don't really fit in what (in society) is concidered human. So if you have non human experiences. But you can still identify as human and be Alterhuman 😊

I believe that my experience is completely psychological. But if you experience: animal like feelings, shifts such as higher senses, phantome ears, tails,.., a feeling like you are not fully human. You are Likely a therian. But there is no real checklist you can go off to know you are therian. Its a personal experience and is different for everybody. It can be difficult to figure out. I love that were finally realizing that pretty much any conservative view on things need to change and that so much of what boomers say is science are actually social constructs. I think a persons reality is actually more important than "FACTS" and that instead of being discouraged by someone saying your wrong you find someone to validate YOUR ALTERNATIVE FACTS like I believe in flat earth so does my partner and our friends. So do our kids and their friends. Like to our kids have always believed it and even tell their teachers they do. We've talked to teachers and will argue with them about that. Just like we argue about being therian or TRANSPECIES IS REAL or that we don't believe in mental illness. They try to get us to change the fact we support these "fantasies" in our kids and stop telling them about all kinds of "alternative facts" but that's what we feel is important. Believing what you want to believe and KNOWING your right and never letting anyone "prove" you wrong is so important! Plus nobody has the right to offend you ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE CONSERVATIVE OR CHRISTIAN OR OLD OR IN A POSITION OF AUTHORITY! Like I THINK ABORTION SHOULD BE FREE LEGAL AND ALLOWED AT ANY TIME FOR ANYONE WITH NO REASON WHY NO MATTER IF ITS YOUR FIRST OR THIRD AND PARENTS SHOULD HAVE NO RIGHT TO STOP YOU. I THINK THAT PARENTS TRYING TO CONTROL THE BODIES OF THEIR KIDS WETHER IF ITS HRT OR ABORTION SHOULD BE ILLEGAL

I personally have the same struggle.
I don't use the lable therian because i don't directly identify as an animal. But i do experience animal behavior. Mental shifts, phantom ears and animal like impulses.
But the definition of being alterhuman is that you don't really fit in what (in society) is concidered human.
So if you have non human experiences.
But you can still identify as human and be Alterhuman 😊

@@BelindaGrace-hm4yr so, i personally am not a therian. I'am Alterhuman. For me. I experience animal shifts, behavior, impulses,.. but i do not identity as an animal. I believe that my experience is completely psychological.
But if you experience: animal like feelings, shifts such as higher senses, phantome ears, tails,.., a feeling like you are not fully human. You are Likely a therian. But there is no real checklist you can go off to know you are therian. Its a personal experience and is different for everybody. It can be difficult to figure out.
