I have sailed many smaller carnival ships and the service has been impeccable. I booked this ship 11 days in November ugh. I hope they work out their staffing issues by then.
I really appreciate this brutally honest review of the Carnival Venezia. I was hoping to try another cruise sailing out of the NY area, but after seeing the terrible food, long lines and long waits to get seated. Sounds like I'll be avoiding that ship.

@@devinisabell1 I've been binging on venezia reviews here on youtube and reading up on reviews elsewhere and I don't think I've seen enough positive to change my mind quite yet. Maybe things will improve in a few months, but as of now I think I'll stay away.
On-board right now & feel like a hostage! I asked to get off at our first port, Puerto Rico, but wanted to b reimbursed for remaining days. Carnival said no! It's been a disgusting, horrible mess on here. 8 day cruise from hell!!!. So many people, long lines, not enough staff for these type of people. Smoke smell is everywhere, and I'm a lifelong non-smoker! It's been the worst I've ever experienced on any vacation. I desperately needed this trip, but it's actually added to the negatives & stress of my life. Pathetic! 😢

Sailed June 27th and I had issues with the reservations in the dining room. On one one of the elegant nights we waited about an hr, once our table was ready we proceeded to the host with our table number, we are walking through the dining room looking for our table. The host then takes us back to the front and says there’s no table. I was not happy with this cruise at all. They definitely have alot to work on.

I appreciate the honest review. I do think its import explain the differences between “your time dining” and having reserved time dining. I may be making the incorrect assumption, but it appeared that a lot of the wait times that your family experienced were in part due to “your time dining” vs reserved time dining. That may explain the numerous empty tables as they were already reserved for another party during their time. I also appreciate your reviews on the poor quality of food being served. I’m still nauseous after seeing that French toast…

We were saying that we didn’t understand the long wait time for us and the other guests along with numerous empty tables when we had “your time dining”. That french toast looked disgusting!!!!!!! I've seen people complain and get free drinks, etc, but when I went to complain about not having a flushing toilet for 8 hours, we got "ok, we have been trying to take care of it!!" They could have at least offered you something, you could have gotten sick from that food. It's a new ship, so hopefully, in time, things will get better.
Hey y'all new subscribers here. This is why we are really don't care for inaugural sailings because it takes several sailings for them to get it together. And it shouldn't be like that when we spend our money. Either way enjoyed your video.

Wow!!! The food for Sea Day Brunch looked horrible. My Son and I were on the Horizon last month. Both of our Sea Day Brunch days the food was good and we really never had more than a 15 minute wait for breakfast or dinner. I won't be trying the Venezia. Thanks for sharing all of this with us.

This is so trus we just got off the ship from June 19 to the 27th we are very dissapointed, service for the food was poor, and food was not hot and like you said very sub par. We will not go back to carnival
We had a crowd of folks coming after us to dine @m_r_matt. It doesn’t matter what time, the food quality was not acceptable, period! Thanks for watching!☺️

The reason there are empty tables is because of an employee shortage!! Carnival is NO DIFFERENT than any other business struggling to maintain and recruit workers. Cut them some slack!

Hi guys! I hope you complained so I am wondering what did they say about all the issues and the waits with all the empty tables? What is the cruise director saying about all these issues I mean he must know! I mean they really need to have serious meetings to fix these problems because it’s not acceptable when people have saved their hard earned money for a vacation! I am not a cruiser I have always done land trips and have not been in vacation in years and saved so long for this so yeah it’s not ok….I am finally going on a cruise and now really not looking forward to it…funny enough when it was the costa Venezia these were the same issues. I did a lot of research on it and it was ranked one or the worst ship on cruisecritic, yikes!

They were on the inaugural sailing. They are never great. I also heard so many people that said it was wonderful after this sailing.

I just went from 7/5-13 out of nyc and it was terrible, food was disgusting 🤢. Do not go on this cruise. Also staff is very unfriendly

We were on the same ship, and my Mothers French toast was the same. We had to send it back and request for it to be cooked longer.
