Sometimes when I watch a "full faced" shaver I think they just don't know. 🤔You on the other hand have some challenging angles and hair patterns. Your j-stroking, blade positioning and smooth technique give me hope that with time I can get that desired smooth feel w/a straight. Good stuff!
Doug Bear From the beginning, over four years ago, I was determined to get my shave down. I've tried different things and pretty much come up with this. It works for me. Always remember there is more ways to skin a cat! Thanks for watching.
Incredible before and after, looks like a gem!!! Edge looks great, I always enjoy your videos, hope you keep them coming. Looks like we’re gonna possibly gonna have a good team this year! Go Big Blue
Vigoroso is a stronger versions of Amber with more menthol. Saying that, Vigoroso is a favorite for the summer heat! Both are great. I use Amber more for cooler months. My wife's mother is Canadian. Thanks for stopping by.
Nice! Hey I got a question regarding stones. I fixen to learn to hone and I am going with the shapton pro, but the cheaper version can't remember the name. I was wondering if the shapton pro 12k is any better than the naniwa 12k? I do know the naniwa is pricey!! Is it worth the extra?
Michael Shults I love the Shapton Pro line but I have never used their 12k. I actually had a Naniwa 12k which is a nice and dense stone. Their reputation speaks for themselves. You can get a good enough shaving edge finishing on a 12k Naniwa but again I say this only through my experience. Welcome to the honing side. It's nothing better getting a good shave from an edge you honed! Awesome!
@@markdayoc3907 Thanks buddy! Man you got some amazing technique. I've been straight shaving for about a 1 1/2 year. Man I wish that I started shaving with 2 hands. I'm giong to have to giver a try. Lol I hope it ain't to late.
@@markdayoc3907 Hey man I did it! I used both hands with my straight razor. It seems awkward when using the non dominate hand, I kinda want to hold it at a steeper angle for some reason. Actually too steep! I didn't get cut though. When I only used my left I usually keep the razor about a spine width away or even less than that from my skin. IMO I don't think 30° is a very comfortable shave. To much scraping. Anyway in going to stick with it. Its not as bad as I thought. 👍
Great shave and nice jams
Nice shave! Great music for shaving... or honing. Had to stay for the whole thing. 😁
drmatt357 Of course you had to stay leaving in the middle would be rude. 🤨
Love the razor. Nice music too.

Michael Shults stick with it. Over a period of time it becomes muscle memory.
