- I bought a resin birdbath and a solar water fountain. Here is the unboxing and the first impressions. Should you get one? Watch this before you do!

The solar part would look great in a pond
I had a resin birdbath on my patio a couple of years ago but it didn't last long, I cannot remember why. I've had a concrete birdbath in my front natural area for many years. I bought that same solar fountain last month but the birdbath has a raised area in the middle so I could not get it submerged in enough water to get it to work. I bought a different kind that isn't round and it works nicely when I can move the solar battery to sun but the birdbath is under a big maple tree so it is in shade a good part of the time. Plus it's getting so hot the water evaporates quickly and gets too low for it to work well. So I go out every morning and add more water. I do love when the solar fountain is working, it's so pretty and attracts more birds
So far, I have not had any bird in mine. I have 2 creeks so I didn't know if they would enjoy this but at least on my deck there are no predators lurking!
It should have suction cups on the bottom of it
Try putting some stones opp each other to anchor the solar fountain or tie it down wt a weight and nylon string. Cheers!!!

The solar fountain has suction cups at the bottom so it sticks to the bottom of the birdbath, that will prevent it from floating around
The one I received does not, unfortunately. My biggest concern is that it only works in full sun and the water gets too hot for the birds here in the South so I really can't use it either way...

I haven’t watch this all the way through but I found out later that there are long leg stabilizers that you attached to the fountain that keeps it centered. Hopefully you have found those it will help keep the fountain from flowing to the sides and spilling over. I think the birdbath all is beautiful! And so is your yard by the way. :-)
