What a great idea for a channel! As an overweight gal who loves theme park rides myself, I'm always nervous I might not fit! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! Please Dive in. I hope I offer a lot of value!
@@fattestedtravel you've got yourself a subscriber! 👈👈😎
"extra mic" (extender) with Race through Newyork...You can also ask for Ada doors to open on certain rides.. Incase you have a hard time entering an R.V regularly. (They're for our ada guest that can't step and sit normally..but it helps)
Jason thank you for making these videos. Im a Army Infantry vet who takes medication which made me heavy recently. I was wondering if I'd still fit on the rides when I went to Islands. Thank you, your videos really help.
I'm glad it was helpful and thank you for your service. #NeverForget.
THANKS - What a great video and a tremendous benefit for us heavier customers! I went to Universal last year and didn't know about the "test" seats in front of the rides until I stood for over an hour for Harry Potter ride and at the last moment was told "you're too big to ride". Very sad day, but I was able to ride other rides and still had fun after all. Thanks again.
I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope your next trip is better!
33:39 Typing as I’m watching so you may cover this but for Kong, especially for not just bigger people but TALLER as well, the leg room can be a bit of a challenge with longer legs. I’m about 6’2 and around 410 lbs (when I rode). Also, my advice would be to keep an eye on the line and try to go when it’s not that busy so they have a less likely chance to try and pack a bunch of people in with you on the bench, because that can get awkward especially if your the first or last person in and they have to close the door.
Good advice!
Thanks for such a thorough video
You're so welcome!

Dang. I just edited it and the timestamp but have changed.
@@fattestedtravel 41:23 It’s just rude really
Why are thin people even commenting on this video(its not for you). I appreciate your video! And to whoever says just lose weight, i hope they stop trying to give advice, yes we thought about that, a holes, we still deserve to have fun.
Universal has been absolutely paramount in my weight loss of 139 lbs, I am happy that the rides are not plus size friendly, it motivated me to keep going until I could ride the rides with my kids and it remains a motivator to keep the weight off. I hear people being upset with the fact that there are restrictions, it's for safety reason, but let it be a motivator for you to lose the weight so you can ride the rides too! I went every weekend, walked up to 15 miles in a day with my kids, and my reward for my hard work is the smile on my kids faces and my screams on the coasters!
Same I’m joking there in 8 days I’m so excited
Congratulations!
This is crazy because you and I are apparently in the exact same situation. Universal and Islands of adventure has been absolutely the most important thing in my weight loss journey. As of right now, I’ve lost 70 pounds in the past four months and it’s in large part to going to either Universal or IOA every day and walking. I started at 301 pounds and I’m down to about 230 as we speak. I used certain rides as benchmarks. There was none that I really couldn’t get on, but now I don’t have to use any of the extended seats anymore. It’s a great way to mark your progress and motivate you. Glad I’m not the only one and congratulations!
Did you list your stats in the video, like weight and waist circumference?
It requires some impressive dedication and optimism to endure the hell on earth that is the Hagrid'a line AFTER not being able yo fit in the test seat. Props for thatŕ❤
Omg thank you so much. I’m going tomorrow and I’m plus size. I thank you so much.
I hope you had a great trip!
Are you able to go through the pre shows? Evenif you cant ride?
Yes, just inform the ride’s cast member that you’d like to look through the queue (pre-show). There are exits
You shoukd try cossters here in the uk if you think the Universal are restrictive. Ive given up on UK parks. None of the parks here care if you cant fit.
I remember dudly do right! I can still hear the music from it! Haha I'm 63 though
I don’t mean this in a bad way. But u didn’t say at the beginning, how big are you in here? I’m 5’8 345 lbs. but I carry it well.
I'm 6'1 250 and I was pretty snug in the roller coasters
Yea, its crazy. I think under 270 depending on proportions most people will fit on the rides, but they may still be tight.
I have never gotten green on the test seat for Hagrids…..I have rode Hagrids 10+ times. Try the ride.
Yea, though I will say that line is rough if you're not sure you'll fit.
@@fattestedtravel my strategy is single rider just to see if u will fit
Still a wait but not your whole day
Im most definitely wearing a pancho on the water rides
Good call
I’m heavier then you, and going in September. Any tips? I’m not a coaster guy, so I know there are other rides there that can be little bit of a pain for heavier guest.
I think I laid out the tips I have in the video. Sorry I don't really know what else to add. I hope you have an amazing trip!
Your experience on the River Adventure was my same experience on Big Thunder at Disney World, the bar came down for both of us and I was next to some kid that had the bar nowhere close to him and I was worried. But like you, everything worked out fine.
Yea, I guarantee they aren't going to risk anything
you people literally endanger children. wow. is that not a wake up call?
Hey Jason! Fellow WIGS member, just checking out your channel. I'm 5'3" and around 240lbs and while I fit in the regular boats for Dudley Do Right, they were insanely uncomfortable and I will NEVER ride that attraction again. Same situation for Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom for me. I literally felt unsafe trying to get in and out of the ride vehicles and nearly fell. I've never had an issue on raft style rides like Popeye's, and never had issue with Splash Mountain. I guess it's the style of the restraints on the other two that gave me issues and how deep it is to get into them? I am very sorry you weren't able to ride Velocicoaster or Hagrid's. Both are absolutely phenomenal. Also I'm highly surprised they're letting you film ON the rides. Everyone else says you can't do that except on very select attractions.
He fellow WIGS! Thanks for stopping by! I think on Space Mountain pretty much everyone has a tough time lol
Got a question Jason I've watched alot of your videos love what you do can you please come to sixflags over ga do a video there they open March 6th 2024 ??
His Six Flags Over Texas video I believe will contain very similar results as Georgia. All major roller coasters at Six Flags parks have seat belts which will be a challenge for obese riders as they were for me 90 pounds ago. Never again! Seat belts became the norm at Six Flags specifically because of a tragic death where a very overweight riders belly & torso were not restrained & she was thrown from her seat. Six Flags also will usually have test seats at rides where not fitting is a concern.
Hey I have now posted a SFOG walkthrough! th-cam.com/video/UnLwJa_HJtk/w-d-xo.html
You would thing Hagrid's would be more big folk friendly!
Agreed!
They're working on an R.v similar to Trons ada end car...
What camera do you use?
My cell phone
It's called the Port of Entry at the front of the park.
Thank you
@@fattestedtravel your welcome. I opened the park in 99. Sold the first tickets for the park.

To bad my views aren't a salad, you'd probably be skinny
Thank you John Dick 666
You can barely fit on anything at Universal. They are not fat friendly. Been thrown off a couple of rides embarrassingly, and I'm 100 lbs. less than you
Im going next week and I'm 250lbs 5'11 40 waist do you think Ill be able to ride everything
@@stephcurry3793 yo you are waste of height and weight.
@@iBeAsTeX normal size comes with smol pp
Fat testing the actual ride is incredibly inconsiderate if they have testers available, the seats are the exact same so there is no need to slow down operations
Actually they're not... he has tested tester seats and has stated that they shrink because of heat exposure
The seats are not always the same due to elements and in some cases like The Mummy there is a special seat like on a certain row that you can ask about that may be larger.
I hate this comment. As a big lad I struggle at universal on some attractions. Mainly all the Harry Potter rides and velocoaster.
The outside test seats are subject to weather battering! The Forbidden journey tester outside says I can ride but the inside seat doesn't. How do you explain that? Hmm?
@@leewebster6499 if you lost weight you wouldn’t have to deal with it… that’s how I’d sum it up 🤷♂️
