ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
While helping you to read, write, and speak the Akan language, I'm also aiming to get you to sound as natural, native-like as possible. So, every now and then, I'll be coming up with lessons on Twi pronunciation, just like this one.
In this lesson, we are looking at how to pronounce certain Twi words that end with the letters '-an'.

My students wants to learn how to speak your language. They’re learning about where our Jamaican dialect is from and the Akan language is apart of our Patois. Would you like to join us online Microsoft Teams to talk to them? They’re 3rd graders.
Very clear and easy to learn! Thanks
Medaase, Lilen 😊
Thank you so much I will keep learning from your videos🙏🏾
Thank you, too Nimako 😊
I Really like how you teach. I wish you will introduce other Ghana languages on your channel. It will be a one stop channel for many languages.
Another great lesson. Can't wait to start the new classes next month, including getting to meet with you again, m'adamfo!

I have just uploaded my Twi video. It is: Let's learn Twi with Miss B. And then I saw your video. Wow Tikya Yaw, you are doing a good job. Nice one.
"An"..... still listening.....Great lesson. Wow, I have to be careful with the pronunciation. I wouldn't want to mistakenly call Mr. or Ms. Agyeman (Add-ja-mine), Mr. or Ms. Adwaman (Edge-ja-mine) lol. I am sure that would not sit well with them. I wonder if I have done this before because that is a common name. Wow!
Lol, to call someone Mr. or Ms. Adwaman? That would definitely not go down well with the person.
@@learnakan Hahaha Exactly! Eeehhhh Merccccyyy!!! Blessings!
Please what is the difference? What is (edge-ja-mine)?
@@stevenanderson7194 I suppose you mean Agyeman ? Agyeman is a person's name ( unisex).
It’s Ah-Jih- mine, and ah-jwa- mine
They are an words. They have the same ending.
Exactly! Thank you for your answer Robin 😊

GREAT JOB DONE!
Great videos. Really like that you include yourself in them, since seeing the movement of the mouth helps a lot.
do you use the asante dialect? bc that's where my family and i are from?
Yes 😊
5:00 I would make a comparison to English's Germanic words like Einstein, though in English/German there's no dip in pitch.
Great job!
Appreciate you bro

your videos are great but there should be less English and more twi... hearing and seeing more words will help facilitate learning. much of your explanations could be done in 2-3 mins at the start of the video :). This one took half the video to get to the actual lesson...
Good advice! Medaase Charls, I'll consider that in subsequent (unfilmed) videos. Thanks
Daabi daabi daabi I disagree o we are beginners! Twi Professor doh listen am 😂😂😂 jkjk
