Thank you! My boyfriend is from Ghana and speaks Twi almost exclusively with his family. They are so wonderful and accepting of me and I want to learn the language out of respect and admiration. This was helpful and I will likely watch it again and again until I can remember it all!

Yes my husband is Ghanaian and he is the kindest sweetest man I ever met. His family that knows about me excepts me but he hasn't told his grandmother because she is very old and did not want him to marry an obruni, but I know she would be very nice to me. He just doesn't want to give her a heart attack lol.

Thank you so much for making this; when I was about 6 or 7, my grandma tried teaching me twi, but it’s been years since i’ve been able to see her, and i’ve lost pretty much everything that I was taught through the years :,O I’m hoping I can slowly gain it back for the next time I get to see her, I miss having that connection between us. I feel like i’ve lost so much valuable information about Ghana. I’m still on the basics but seeing creators like you help teach the language is so lovely to see, I don’t know many other resources that offer twi. I’ll be binge watching n adding your videos to my playlist ASAPP !!! I appreciate you taking the time to do this more than you know ❤️❤️❤️

Woow! Well done. This is very impressive. Pls can I humbly make this correction. In Akan the word bebree* is used for countable nouns*. For instance, nkwadaa bebree (many children). Or ntoosi bebree (many tomatoes). On the other hand, pii* or paa* is used for uncountable or abstract nouns depending on the context. Eg Medaase pii (Thanks a lot) or nsuo pii (a lot of water). Just as many is used for countable nouns and a lot is used for uncountable nouns in English. However, some people use them interchangeably.

I am trying to learn how to communicate with my co-workers in twi. They speak English, but I want to understand what they are talking about so I can "join-in" is the conversation is a topic I know about.

Your words are different to the other 3 TH-camrs who are teaching Twi but I think you explained it at the beginning by saying there’s different styles. I learnt Thank you very much is ‘Medaase Paa’. I don’t want to confuse myself too much.

At Work they told me there are the Akan, Ashante.... two or three different aahh🤔 Akan or Ashante(?). Sorry i forgot. It is Like in Germany: in München munich they speak a very different "German" than the people in Hamburg. And they use and write different words for the Same things, in some cases.
      And tham there is "Hochdeutsch"
      "Hoch"means high(no drugs)

@@beastofchaospureanarchie Akan is the ethnic group. But ethnic group has different languages. There is Twi which is spoken by the Ashanti and other tribes and also widely spoken in every part of Ghana because it is easy to learn and understand. There is fante too and other Akan groups

Wow, Twi is very hard to Remember and to Pronounce for me. My husband is from Ghana, and I'm trying to learn much from him as well. Jesus Christ, but you're doing a Good Job with helping me on this. I guess once my husband arrives here with me it will be Better. If he Speaks Twi around me All the time, then I'll learn Faster.
