The trippy thing is, the girl playing M3gan could actually run like that she showed the directors different weird ways she could move and shape her body and they put them in the script. A LOT of M3gan's movements are practical, they just used CGI to cover the girl's face or eye holes in the mask she wore. She came up with the dance, too. I think she needs a writing or producing credit.
You can feel how you want but to ME, the all 4s aren’t that advanced. The girl ONLY did 25% of Megan’s movements. Many ppl said she did the cobra rise but herself but behind the scenes they used a ROPE to help her. The only advanced move I saw was the Arial flip. The girl actress did *not* invent that flip. It’s a common gymnastics move like a cartwheel. The other moves o found Simone so o don’t get or see all the hype. As far as flexibility, it’s not surprising especially in children. The younger you start dance lessons the better. My mom had me in ALL kinds of lessons when I was a child.
The reason she killed those people because she sees them as a potential threat to Cady and Gemma, and of course, her. All the people she killed anyway were bad people since she can detect if they are bad people just like Brandon. She is just doing her job, until Gemma just treats her like a thing and not someone so she goes against her.
exactly, she is acting 100% accurate to the parameters that she was given, thing is those parameters were too simple and vague to be interpreted anywhere short of lethal.
But M3GAN is not judge, jury, or executioner. She was not taught the value of life. She should’ve been given a talk about right and wrong. She’s artificial intelligence. She is an entity. Gemma was wrong to treat her like that. Basically what I’m saying is that they’re both wrong.
@@Eternalsfan This is where Gemma made a huge mistake. In her hurry to complete Megan for Caty there were many important things that she forgot to install into Megan like what is life and how human carry on with their life. Like there is rule and order Even Megan told Gemma that she did not give her anything and expect her to learn it by herself. So what she learn by herself in order to protect Caty that she has to eliminate and get rid things that a threat to Caty. For me Gemma is responsible for what happened but at least she at the end she realised her mistake and for Caty sake she willing to destroy Megan that's she worked hard for all her life before it became worst.
she wasnt evil until the dog attacked the doll. meghan got a malfunction because of the dogs attack. thats why one scene shows her eyes beginning to shine for amoment
Can we please talk about how terrible the therapist is in her first visit? "Oh, let me observe how you two interact normally," proceeds to tell Gemma how to act with the child. Not to mention, no empathy for Gemma herself, who has had her entire life flipped on its head, AND lost her sister. No toys there? Hmm, maybe she just arrived yesterday, and they haven't retrieved them from Cady's house. Oh, comment about her PJs? Not as if she just lost her parents and needs a PJ day at home. Oooh, watching TV? How unhealthy for her. Honestly, as someone who went to therapy for 4 years, I would've never returned to that therapist. And if I'm not mistaken, they can ask for a new court appointed therapist if they don't like this one. She did redeem herself in the later visits, though.
@Quicks Pp To be fair, Cady is 9, not 12, but still. No kidding!! If she insisted that the kid played with one of my collectibles, I'd be pissed. A proper therapist would have never let Gemma do that.
I like how it's clear to anyone that Gemma is the real villain from M3gan creation to why she went rogue: -She created her with AI and Internet access. -she didn't include the 3 laws in M3gan design. - she neglect the parental control which is why m3gan ignored her first order to turned off in the lab and focused more on Katie's past. - put the physical and emotional safety of Katie under M3gan, basically making m3gan the mom. -put pressure on Katie for her project IN FRONT OF M3GAN! So playing with her feelings in front of the robot you programmed to protect. -Made Katie cry - DIDN'T FIX THE DAMN FENCE! - Was stupid enough to order m3gan to turn off while she was recalibrating the response model. So basically gave her the ability to ignore both order to not interfère between her 2 admins and to turn off. Logically she would either go to Jail for that or lose custody of Katie and money.
Being irresponsible is not the same as being the villain, I can tell you so many characters from other movies that are exactly like Gemma's character, irresponsible, just because they are irresponsible doesn't automatically mean that they are the villains. It was clear from the start that Gemma didn't know that was gonna happen and when she got a clue she took care of it right away, and there is no such things as the 3 laws that you are talking about, those 3 laws are fictional and from another movie. If Gemma ordered M3GAN specifically to not hurt anyone when protecting Cady, then when is she really protecting Cady?
Cady gets bitten by a dog, gets bullied by a boy, gets emotionally afraid and threatened by an old woman, used by a company's CEO and making it clear to everyone that she lost her parents, I mean what would be the purpose of M3GAN if she can't go killing around people who weren't good people in the first place
I do agree with you. M3gan was a fully functional robot and had the great potential to be something good. But as you mentioned, Gemma is the most cold, laziest and stupidest character in the whole movie. Not only doesn't she understand human being, she does not know how the intelligent mind works. If a parrot lived with Gemma, the poor thing wouldn't learn anything at all.

M3GAN is a mix of GLaDOS singing voice with a Android 17&18 rebellious mind and becoming self-aware if there's going to be a sequel she's going to become like Skynet from Terminator
I love this movie. And I am a staunch supporter that Gemma may not be the best mom instantly in a terrible situation. But she IS trying to DO her best. Look at some of the things she does: Without hesitation, removes a collectible from its original packaging to play with Cady for the TheraBitch. Even though Cady now has toys in her room that Gemma had unpacked. When Cady comes to her workshop she INSTANTLY drops working on the project that will save her job since she is on thin ice. The first thing she does is tells Cady how awesome that nightmare-inducing five headed picture is. She then takes time to show Cady Bruce, plays with her with Bruce, and teaches her about how his sensors let him interact with his environment. She lets Cady decide if she is ready for the presentation. And clearly she was willing to let Cady decide not to go. She WAS somewhat manipulative about how important the meeting was. But also convinced me she was willing to not do the presentation if Cady did not want to. When they are at the office and M-Three-Gan is being checked out, she talks sincerely to Cady about how she should be upset and hurting and it is perfectly natural. She finally hits that "Mom" groove. Keep in mind she suddenly not only lost her sister, but was instantly taken from "cool aunt" to "mom". She takes Cady home instead of worrying about the launch. Cady is not the most important thing in Gemma's world. Now, she IS Gemma's world. I know she said that bad thing when Tess was meddling in her personal life. But, that was a sudden outburst in anger BEFORE she had wrapped her head around she is Cady's mom now.
Took the words right out of my mouth. Gemma may not be the best mom instantly but, everything she does is for Cady's best interest. Even when building M3gan she was still thinking of Cady.
But Gemma is very hands off with her and very hesitant. She only steps up to the plate when M3GAN starts being a good mother figure to her.@kaumalimurray6314
I love how thriller movies/series these days have just decided that humans are stupid and sassy to make it lazily easy for the plot to move forward and then the characters either die/get hurt later or just get a better personality when they need to be considered good people. Sometimes, digital entertainment just feels like AI in itself, with how forced the majority of characters in new fiction are Love your reactions, Mel✌️😂
Respectfully... after having seen social media and the "people" on it, what you described is genuinely how people choose to act/be. It's kind of like a triple-down on the "stupid teens in horror" movies. That all said, you're still completely right.
This my top favorite Scene because, M3gan has a Beautiful Voice, M3gan singing made me tear up and cry at the same time because, it’s heartwarming And M3gan cares about Cady, I enjoy the movie so much and It’s insane right💗❤️🎀
I seen it 5 times and I absolutely love this movie. It gets better and better for every watch! ❤ ❤This is a movie that is so more damn good, you have to love the character herself for being, a bit scary, funny and can touch your heart (to make you cry). Unlike most horror icons, M3gan is the perfect example of balancing her personality and the movie (and never tries too hard to be over the top like Chucky and Freddy Krueger or being underrated like Candyman). And the fact that this is a PG 13 which is rare for a killer doll film (normally they would be rated R), but M3gan breaks this tradition and it feel more ground breaking for the horror/sci fi film. It's not all about drugs, sex, gore or vulgar language that most horror flick shouldn't be, it's about balancing the story that makes it work. This mostly was enjoyable to say the least, it was more of a thriller. I just love the character M3gan to bits (hope it's not too late to make her feel good in the sequel to give her a better protocol and to fix an exploding circuit). It's not a scary movie, but M3gan was a cinnamon roll who carried the film until the very end. (I did a review on this movie too)
F**k that noise. I’m with MellVerse on this one when he says that he’d be beating her after she threatened to stab the therapist and slapped Gemma. I’d be getting my belt out.
@@osmanyousif7849 You NEVER EVER beat children. I don't care how bratty they’re being, you don't do it. Ground them, take away their possessions; do anything but beat them. You’re not a parent, nor want to be.
Megan 2.0 coming in January 2025. Bruce reminded me of the power loader from Aliens. They show it early in the movie once and you gradually forget it until the climax. M3GAN was portrayed by an 11 year old Kiwi actress with a background in ballet and gymnastics. She did her own stunts as seen in this amazing video! m.th-cam.com/video/yCCXjlz8Ssc/w-d-xo.html It’s like 80% of the horror element was saved for the climax. Gave me strong flashbacks of the first Terminator movie. Before that, I was more amused and entertained than scared.
Oh behalf of all the social workers out there, we're not all condescending and patronizing. That being said, I've worked in the field for a long time and there are types like this all over the place.......there's also a lot of great people. All kinds. I suppose that's true of most jobs, professions.
The perfect idea for a M3GAN Trilogy is to have M3GAN 2.0 about M3GAN terrorizing Cady & Gemma in their house then starts causing global terror by taking over all electronics like an invasion & the 3rd one (M3GAN Vs.) should have a new doll wreaking havoc & M3GAN either turns 'good'/protective again & they fight each other or they team up against everyone else (M3GAN Meets ?).
Was M3GAN water proof? Yes. The glass tore the material covering her neck, exposing the internal circuitry which was not water proof. Why was Gemma so emotionless? It would appear she struggles expressing her feelings (losing a sibling, even a distant one, is very overwhelming) and hyper fixates as a result. While it is not explicit, this implies that she is autistic. Her love language is gift giving; so it makes sense that she would dedicate all her attention on M3GAN to gift to Cady. Gemma’s actions were the result of how her brain works, her love language and how stubborn she is. She is not emotionless, just overwhelmed.
Like a combination of the Twilight Zone episode 'Living Doll' ("I'm Talky Tina and I love you very much", "I'm Talky Tina and I don't think I like you", "I'm Talky Tina, and I'm going to kill you") and the Ray Bradbury short story 'Marionettes Inc' ( "They didn't tell me at Marionette's Inc that I was getting such a difficult subject." "There's a lot of things they don't know about us, down at the Inc. We're very new, and they've only scratched the surface on us. We're a lot more sensitive then they realise.")
Lol, remember they parodied that for Simpsons. Krusty Doll:"Hi, I"m Krusty the Clown and I don't like you! Hi, I'm Krusty the Clown, and I'm going to KILL YOU." Homer:"Hehe, didn't even pull the string that time...." Krusty Doll:"I said I'm gonna kill YOU! YOU, HOMER SIMPSON!"
Why is it that humans imagine that IA becomes evil when it's not supposed to have any emotions at all? Isn't rage an emotion? And the strongest of them all? There's a Korean version of an IA robot in a series called "are you human too". The way they portrayed how a self-evolving IA would be in real life, I think is phenomenal. Of all the IA movies out there, I think they did it right. The IA had some flaws just like any other, and when the main villain of the story switched the "evil" button to control that IA for you know, evil, the IA tried to go against the button and kill itself in order to protect humans, because it was programmed to protect one person, but is has "evolved" to see all humans that way.
It would have been more creepy if M3GAN's eyes glow red at 20:15 but AI is a serious deal if you don't know if they can evolved more human and learning human history about their past and sins they committed if you ever watched Terminator then you get the whole point
Megan is escaping from the building. The Boss ask what is she doing there. Do you think the Boss can't put two and two together that she blowup the lab. Logic is not taught in schools anymore. (some many reactions asking same question) The Boss is an eye witness of M3gan walking away from a blown up lab. And She wasn't suppose to be there. M3gan has been avoiding and covering/targeting any direct question. People do the same thing. They get defensive and target you personally if you ask a pointed question. IE you are on their trail. Or you callout their bubble of dogma people will take that personal. Believe they do. Just try to talk to someone with different ideology. If they have a higher IQ you will attack them directly/personally. If you have a higher IQ they will attack you directly/personally. (passively or trangressively)
*I thought it was sweet the way Megan sang to Cady! My mother would sometimes do that for me when I was a small child!! Music can be comforting to children when they're worried, confused, scared, or unhappy but I don't get why so many people were weirded out by her singing and why they thought it was so funny. I guess it's because she's a robot!!! Oh and another thing....I was extremely uncomfortable after he said he would grab Cady by her neck and hurt her or whoop her; if she would've slapped him like she did her aunt. I don't support child abuse as much as I don't agree with kids disrespecting adults or their guardians. Both are wrong as heck!! There were other things about his reaction to the movie that bothered me and angered me, but I won't get into those details since I don't feel like typing a long paragraph at the moment.*

I like how it's clear to anyone that Gemma is the real villain from M3gan creation to why she went rogue:

M3GAN is a mix of GLaDOS singing voice with a Android 17&18 rebellious mind and becoming self-aware if there's going to be a sequel she's going to become like Skynet from Terminator
@Geek so that means the world is f***ed when she still active
Ready for this one!! *stadium wave* 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Wooo!!
This movie was way more fun than expected.
M3GAN could get into the internet. She's basically a high level virus. Could definitely impersonate Alexa or those other base AI.
Omg then she could hijack a Boston Dynamics AI bot and go wild. And still be in the internet. Unstoppable. I'd watch that at the cinema.
I love this movie. And I am a staunch supporter that Gemma may not be the best mom instantly in a terrible situation. But she IS trying to DO her best. Look at some of the things she does:
Without hesitation, removes a collectible from its original packaging to play with Cady for the TheraBitch.
@@Akins560 It's literally Gemma's first day being a mom, instead of a cool aunt. And she is already making an effort to connect.....
I love how thriller movies/series these days have just decided that humans are stupid and sassy to make it lazily easy for the plot to move forward and then the characters either die/get hurt later or just get a better personality when they need to be considered good people. Sometimes, digital entertainment just feels like AI in itself, with how forced the majority of characters in new fiction are
Love your reactions, Mel✌️😂
Respectfully... after having seen social media and the "people" on it, what you described is genuinely how people choose to act/be. It's kind of like a triple-down on the "stupid teens in horror" movies. That all said, you're still completely right.
The most unbelievable thing in this movie is child care services showing up and doing anything useful
(I did a review on this movie too)
Great Reaction. 22:54 i was laughing so hard i couldnt breath🤣AND i fully agree with you Mellow😁
Poor Cady; she’s been through far too much shit. That’s why she’s acting out. She knows her friend’s a murderer.
The funniest movie of the year😂 love it and your reaction ❤
Mthreegan was hilarious, i wish it had more gore though haha. Love ya mell and can't wait for the next reaction ^-^
Megan 2.0 coming in January 2025. Bruce reminded me of the power loader from Aliens. They show it early in the movie once and you gradually forget it until the climax.
M3GAN was portrayed by an 11 year old Kiwi actress with a background in ballet and gymnastics. She did her own stunts as seen in this amazing video! m.th-cam.com/video/yCCXjlz8Ssc/w-d-xo.html
It’s like 80% of the horror element was saved for the climax. Gave me strong flashbacks of the first Terminator movie. Before that, I was more amused and entertained than scared.
Humans can't have ai till they have humanity
Oh behalf of all the social workers out there, we're not all condescending and patronizing. That being said, I've worked in the field for a long time and there are types like this all over the place.......there's also a lot of great people. All kinds. I suppose that's true of most jobs, professions.
If they don't call the sequel Meg4n I'll tableflip.
M3g4n
The perfect idea for a M3GAN Trilogy is to have M3GAN 2.0 about M3GAN terrorizing Cady & Gemma in their house then starts causing global terror by taking over all electronics like an invasion & the 3rd one (M3GAN Vs.) should have a new doll wreaking havoc & M3GAN either turns 'good'/protective again & they fight each other or they team up against everyone else (M3GAN Meets ?).
Buddi doll
Imagine M3GAN creates a bunch of clones of herself or maybe makes herself a family to kill Gemma. Like can you imagine an android mom, dad or brother?
@@osmanyousif7849 good idea 👌🏾
Ooo that'd be so cool like Megan can have the famliy she always wanted
i swear sometimes i just watch mell to see how hes gonna be edited sitting next to ppl in movies like- idk, very satisfying
27:17 Oh definitely.
Both versions with the sadistic language of the main series Chucky and the crazy AI robotic of the 2019 reboot.
At the end she looked like a ghost moving like that haha.
Also, I can't help but see Chucky hitting on M3GAN.
"Jesus Christ, Brian! she's fucking 12, i'm a killer, not a goddamn pedophile!"
Man Ikr 😅 that would be Epic asf
Chucky is like 60 bro
Megan is a great therapy
It made $150 million dollars against a $12 million dollar budget.
23:32 I am dead from what Mell is saying.
I was waiting on Megan to murk the therapist 😅
HOW DID I MISS THIS MOVIE REACTION 🤨😩😡 WATCHING THE REPLAY! 💯
Hi, I'm Krusty the Clown, and I'm going to KILL YOU."
Homer:"Hehe, didn't even pull the string that time...."
Krusty Doll:"I said I'm gonna kill YOU! YOU, HOMER SIMPSON!"
Bruce carried 🗿
I saw that on Jan 14th with my daughters and they weren’t scared!
Megan turns into Teke Teke at the end bc she’s a torso
Will Smith: I slap with style
Cady: Hold my beer
Why is this so funny to me?😂
Will Smith:I slap with style
Cady:
*Sips juice box*
Hold my apple juice
Gotta admit, Cady hurts harder than Will Smith ever did.
Elon Musk is one of the few actually telling people to pump the brakes on AI my dude.
It would have been more creepy if M3GAN's eyes glow red at 20:15 but AI is a serious deal if you don't know if they can evolved more human and learning human history about their past and sins they committed if you ever watched Terminator then you get the whole point
Not the “IT WES FEKKING ONE OF YAS” clip 😂😂😂
he said "im getting my a** whooped " kevin: niga!!! 🤣😂🤣
This movie is like Child’s Play, Terminator and maybe a bit of A.I. all in one.
12:48 What in the Terminator-
I love the movie small soldiers too. Those barbies were freeaky 😂
It looked like whatever damage the dog did to the neck area changed her behavior. The movie hinted at it with her pupils contracting.
I saw this was one of your reactions and dropped everything!!! LOL
5:33 bro fl da best
I was pleasantly surprised and psychologically moved by this movie
Apparently this is the tame version. The unedited is supposed to be more violent
Yes!! The Mellow presentation came back!!! Thanks ✨ AOUHHHH!!!
when this movie came out all I thought about was "Meegan" from Key and Peele's skits T_T
Mell you hilarious bro 🤣💀💯
Megan is escaping from the building. The Boss ask what is she doing there. Do you think the Boss can't put two and two together that she blowup the lab.
Logic is not taught in schools anymore. (some many reactions asking same question)
The Boss is an eye witness of M3gan walking away from a blown up lab.
23:27 LOL!!
22:37 ON GOD
She really is titanium
as soon as she sang Sia “Titanium” i gagged and laughed sooo hard in the fkn theatre🤣
in the sequel, im betting the stolen data will be used by hasbro to make
their own m3gans and chaos breaks out😂
*I thought it was sweet the way Megan sang to Cady!
I'm sure he wouldn't really grab a kid by the neck. It's a reaction to a fake movie, chill.
@@Anime_no_joō *Well excuse me whoever you are, but that reaction wasn't amusing at all!!! I didn't find it hilarious, and no you need to chill!!!*
You have to understand that being single doesn’t need to know about parenting. That doesn’t make them selfish.
It's bout time you see this man been waiting for ya 😂
