Funny story...my youngest daughter is in college and a couple of years ago one of her roommates -- one who is super punk -- tells her, "You have to hear this band -- they are so awesome," and proceeds to play "She's Kerosene" for my daughter. Fifteen seconds in my daughter is like, "Oh yeah -- The Interrupters. My dad listens to them all the time." The girl is like, "What? Your 60 year old dad listens to The Interrupters? Are you serious?" When they told me the story, I just told them: "Ladies -- I was dancing on a stage with The Bosstones and diving into the crowd before either of you were even conceived. Aimee Allen is my dream date for an evening of live music in a small club." 😎😎

If you were dancing on stage with the mighty mighty boss tones-sir-I was heavily into punk in the EARLY 2000s when The Distillers and Lars and the Bastards, The Unseen, Anti-Flag, Horrorpops ruled everything-I looked up to the older REAL punks. Love hearing old school stories like this. Music bonds generations. Especially rock.

Absolutely stunning band. Every album is perfect. Had the absolute pleasure to see them in a field in Devon (UK) and they are amazing, they were stunned and appreciative that thousands of fans had the time of our lives that day. I'm saying this as someone that's no spring chicken and has seen many many bands over the decades. The Interrupters really are up there with the greats.

I saw them open for The Aquabats in 2014 and it was incredible. Immediately became one of my favorite bands and we’ve been fortunate to see them many times since! Always an awesome time. 😎

@@Altri82 Tim Armstrong put them together like Simon Cowell put One direction together. The singer puts on this voice too. Look into her other attempts at other genres like Christian rock etc... It's all an act.
@@bobert6523 who cares lol, most of the punk-hardcore bands are put together anyway, what makes a difference is a quality. I may be not from civilised world ( I am from Moscow), but since 2007 I've been to a lot of gigs, from giants like Terror, Anti-Flag, Agnostic Front, a little bit less famous bands like Good Clean Fun, Jenny Woo etc till the almost complete DIY bands from Russia , like Changes, The Zapoy, 210, Partybreaker, The Poseurs, Ray etc
and they're all great bands, I don't want to disrespect either of them
@@bobert6523 well; I’d have to say they’re put together very well. The brothers are very talented and she’s a good singer too. It’s a good thing there are still people making music like this these days, when almost everything sounds the same and it’s made by the same computer. It’s also insulting to compare them to One Direction, they don’t even play their instruments.

Saw them for the first time in July in Boston. I had never heard of them before. Went to buy some merchandise and the guy running the booth automatically assumed I wanted an Interupters hat. Had to correct him and say I wanted a Flogging Molly hat. After the show I wished I had gotten an Interupters shirt too. But at least I had the shirt from the VIP package with both bands on it.
