Karen, could you please tell us the weight of the container of cream that you bought and the weight of the butter it made? I'm trying to figure out how that would compare to buying the butter already made (disregarding the benefits of the better taste). I loved watching this because it transported me back to the 50's watching my mom make butter the same way.
I don’t understand all the aluminum foil. You can use parchment paper to catch the grease. I would think the foil would stop the air from circulating to cook.
I love to leave mine without salt and pepper sometimes I do but mostly I don't add the seasoning I love not doing it. As it lets the natural flavor produce and it does not dehydrate or dry out the meat or the fish or the chicken it's so yummy and then you add what you want after the baking and cooking process. Everybody does it their own way and I find that this Joe 46 is really grooving digging heavily on to ripping Karen apart today he must just be so bored with his life.
Not everyone likes, or can eat, lots of seasoning on their food. Salt would dry the meat, and maybe Karen wants to add different flavours later, depending on which meal she's having.
The size of that chicken!Huge! I would have split it in half and used 2 air fryer drawers. I have home-made butter, (and cheese) and found the dogs love a bit of buttermilk.
Or just put the whole lot in a regular oven ! ( Along with her potatoes and her roasted veggies ! ) as I just explained to Karen. But of course she will not take a blind bit of notice. Using Two air fryers is not as economical as people think..... People seem to be brainwashed by these contraptions....
@46joe my personal reasons for using air fryers, not speaking for anyone else, is that they do use less electricity as there us a smaller volume to heat, and turn off at the end of cooking. Also, for anyone with arthritic hands / weak wrists, they allow the food to be accessed and turned / tested without lifting pans about or bending over, and pulling hot pans out. (As I had my entire forearm from elbow to wrist burned with boiling oil in an oven mishap, a week before Christmas and needing daily dressings medical care for a month I might be hypersensitive,) Oh yes, and they easier to clean in the dish washer. But, hey, we can all do our own thing, whatever. One point, though, why would Karen want to cook a full chicken roast dinner at 8am?
@@46joe for those who don't know math if you do the kilohertz electricity it's still cheaper to use the outlet for the air fryer than the oven. Joe we know how to do math quit pulling our legs and quit electronically sucker punching Karen.
@@katherinekeon7034 but if your doing veg and potatoes you may as well just use the regular oven (a lot more space). Karen had to transfer the chicken into her regular oven as it was too big for the air fryer ( did you see that bit?) and she still carried on cooking the pork in the other air fryer. How does this make any sense ?
An observation - Why did you not season or herbs/spices on your meat? Maybe you prefer not too? Why would you use aluminium foil? The aluminium actually leaks into the food, unfortunately. I always use unbleached greaseproof paper, personally. Just some small observations. I hope you have a nice, peaceful weekend ❤
Good tip on the foil, although it typically only occurs over 400F/205C and with acidic foods. I’ve also switched to using unbleached parchment. Its has the added benefit of being cheaper and taking up less room in the pan. Cheers!

Karen, I love you, I love your daughter. So you won't take it as hate if I say to you that you're working slightly harder on that butter than you need to. Leave the butter trapped in the wire whisk. Then take whisk and bowl over to the sink for first rinse under a running tap with the butter still in the whisk. Then work the butter out of the whisk and into a bowl of iced water for the final rinse. Side note: Wearing gloves and using ice in the water are both to keep hand heat from melting the butter.
