A real lighthouse for sure. You did a great job on all those little details.
Great for someone who likes to put it on display. You can strike this one off your list Heather!
Happy New Year! 😎
Thanks Leo
I didn't want to burn anything on this one, (like I did on my first one) because I thought it would take away from the beautiful grain! Some of the knots look like flames to me!
😁😁
Nice work Heather, I'm sure your workfriend will just love it, Happy New Year, John
Thanks John! She's not working tonight, so she'll get it next year now! Lol
Happy New Year 🎉
Nice project and interesting process. Full View and Like 👍
Thanks 👍
Turned out very , very nice Heather. How long did that take you ? Happy New Year from Bavaria :)
Thank you Blue! It took about 3.5 hrs including sanding. The hardest part was cutting out the windows! I should have used a new blade as this one was burning the wood more than cutting it.
I've only been turning since January 2021 so I'm not very fast. But I like taking my time to get a product that I'm satisfied with.
Thanks for watching! ♥️
Heather 🇨🇦
Very nice
I’m sure she will love it
👍😎
Thanks!
I'm sure she will too! I didn't have time to wrap it before heading out for work today, so she'll get it tomorrow 🙂
Sehr gute Arbeit👍
Thank you 😊
Well done Heather. Very nice!
Thanks Doug!🙃
Lovely lighthouse H ! Like the detailing of the rail, nice touch ! 👍 Thanks for sharing🙏 Take care. -Mike
p.s. and here I thought I'd never be able to get any of that exotic Manitoba maple; ha, the secret is out Lol !
Lol Mike! It's not that exotic here! 🙃
@@spiritwynd It is if you include shipping, etc. 👍😎
Congratulations on what you do !!!
Thanks you so much for watching!
As you can see, I like to make lots of different things, not just bowls🙂
Happy New Year
Happy New Year Clint 🎈
Happy New Year
Hey! Thanks Ray!♥️
Good
Thanks 👍
Box elder grows like a week in my part of Kentucky. I pulled some from my wood pile and was amazed at how it turned. It is almost cream colored unless you add some finish, then it turns a sort of blue color. It is a fun wood.
It is a beautiful soft wood, with red grain running through it! So easy to turn! I have lots of it now too!
Thanks for watching!
great job and what a thoughtful gift. I am sure your friend will love it; lighthouses are on my list of favourite structures and you did it justice. Kudos.
Thanks Selina! I love lighthouses too!
Ilike good idea friend
Thanks
You did a really nice job on the lighthouse.
Thanks Ron!
beautiful skew work well done
Thanks Neil! I did get a couple catches, but nothing too serious. It needed sharpening.
Happy New Year!
