Something ive been meaning to turn for years, i purchased some glass insulators for just that , ill have to come up with a design. Nice spindle work Cheers Rob
Hello jo woodwork I have a record coronet herald lathe the same as yours you mention in one of your videos about error comeing up my one has done that to is there anything that can be done about it r even something to get the lathe to turn on any faster. Thanks Michael
unfortunately the spindle on the lathe is just a slow starter and the beeping from the lathe is there for a reason, the lathe only beeps for safety reasons, its to show you that the spindle is still moving or if it thinks you have a bad catch the lathe will shut down, i am not sure if there is an override for this, that is something you will have to contact Record Power about direct, sorry i cant help any further than that
Really dig the concept; I'm going to keep that in mind for a future project. However, I think I will probably do a bit different design for the cover of the lantern room. 😉😁 #justsayin
Decent result - but it's so sad to see so many wood turners of today use carbide tools to shape their products, scraping instead of cutting. One may notice that the true professionals primarily use skews and gouges.
Times chance my friend, and there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with using carbide tools in woodturning, it’s people like you and attitudes like that that stop people getting into the awesome craft of woodturning. I only hope you can change your ways! These tools can perform just as good as gouges so no need to mock them or the people that use them. Thanks for watching anyways
