Wheelies and manuals, my arch nemesis, I shall be busting out epic ones soon, I have been practising each week, I will keep practising, I just want to get an epic one on video, it's the one thing that has eluded me all my riding life. Thanks for the tips Rich. I would love to see Rich, Blake, Neil, Isaac, Anna and Doddy all get in on a hardtail ride day. Do some fun little obstacle course treasure hunt and bust out some fun jumps and stunts together. Get Martyn to referee it on the Bowhead and get him in on some of the trail action too. As a fun little video, drag Tom and Toff out of the news and make them part of the sickest thing of the week and get them all to team up in groups of 2 and have it as a team event. Draw names out of a hat to see who gets teamed up with who.
Nice useful video Rich and so very well timed. I've only owned full sus and am anxiously awaiting my first hardtail. Looking to improve and hone my skills and keep myself from being lazy and relying too much on suspension. Thanks for the tips; please keep them coming!
So happy to see credit given to hard tails. They truly are versatile and things have to get pretty dang gnarly before rear suspension is needed. And you can also lock out the fork and bust out a 70 km gravel ride in much more comfort then with a trendy gravel bike.
Love riding my hardtail for certain rides but been having issues with rear tire flats. What do you do to keep it from happening. Different tire compounds or an insert?
A bunch of my favorite channels have featured hardtail content in the past couple of days, really makes me regret buying a full suspension bike last winter because I was a hardtail only rider through and through. Maybe it's tiime to sell it again to get one of those Stoic's or a Scout 275
It depends on your riding style. If you like sending it down jumps and harder trails i'd keep the fully. However if you dont have those trails around you definitely go with a hardtail
@@L0G1C4LLY you are right, for sure. But if you don't want to ride proper trails (roots, loose terrain, bumps, etc.) why even buy a mountainbike? The fully is just so much more fun, faster and more comfortable imo!
@@L0G1C4LLY I bought it without knowing that my town basically has nothing to ride with such a bike. Nearest real bikepark is 150-200Km away. Not allowed to ride in the forests either, stop signs everywhere. So I'm basically only riding on tarmac with occasional gravel here and there, or roll down a small stair set. And because of how this town is geographically a hardtail would've made so much more sense, it goes up down up down all the time, we don't have flat regions here, constant ~10%+ climbing all the time. Big regrets really 😢😢
wait can someone link to a video about bike twisting in the air. like i hit a jump, all lined up nicely. and once both wheels are off the ground i start twisting/rotating to my left. And oddly (rarely) to my right. what's causing this and how can i prevent/correct it.
When will you begin to pop a wheelie? As you wake up you pop a wheelie, my friend. Let go of that front brake, the front wheel spin keeps it up. It's way harder to mantain when it isn't spinning. Cheers from Brazil. Here we call wheelies GRAU
Trail hardtails are the best bikes, more of them please
Information I need right now !!! I will never get tired of these topics, ride better everyday.

Stick with the fully, believe me.

What's it like to not have the soil just turn to clay that turns tires into slicks when it's wet?
Now the technique for the wheelie is different from many other videos I've seen 🤔
Rich well done mate really enjoyed the tips.Youve earned your cup of tea and a hot shower.
Cheers Boss, ha ha was a pretty boggin day that one lol
More hardtail content especially skills for beginners
and this helmet fits perfect, there's still a little room to spare also
Classic Gmbn, sending the presenters to work in the rain. I'd quit lol
