Wow look at the Gmbn presenters go at it at Berm Park having a blast, Seth one of the well known individual a legend not quite, but he working his way up there, and being a hero to many but a few I am being one of them being very disappointed I do have my reasons why.
Seth is a national treasure. I'm hoping that more of the small western NC towns follow in these footsteps. Cherokee has Fire-mountain now. all in all it has been a huge success
Ya! But is it just me or are could her bars be a bit too wide?? I see so many with bar widths that are for someone that is larger and they just run it! Maybe a test video in there GMBN!
I'm from North Texas but recently visted the east coast beginning with N Carolina. Didn't bring a bike with me (brought golf equipment)but really wanted to try Seth's Park. So, I picked up a throughly trashed near twenty years old Gary Fisher mtb from a nearby Pawn. Took it to a car wash then picked up a bicycle tool kit rom Wally World and just got the bike ridable(gears didnt function, brakes barely worked but the tires held air). And, I proceeded to ride Berm Park. I ended up packing the bike up and bringing it home on the airplane. It has mow been fukky restored and is hanging on the wall of my show room.
Seth rides very well. Anna does not. She has no skills. She cased every jump and clearly has no control of her bike in the air. It’s a mystery to me how she got this job.
@@kieronwhitehouse33 what a pile of nonsense! Jumps and bike control in the air are essential parts of riding MTB! Even cross country riders wearing tight latex pants are jumping nowadays. So whatever skills she may have in other domains they are totally irrelevant to GMBN. The clue is in the name…
@@asifitmatters1wow, way to be negative. I ride technical blacks all the time, but am still trying to figure out how to jump. There is so much more to mtb than just jumping. Besides her job isn’t to be good at biking, it’s to be a presenter and to have good tech knowledge, which she is great at both.
@@FoundHarpy438 crawling down a black trail doesn’t mean you are able to ride them. I too can drive slowly around Monaco, don’t claim to be a racing driver though or car expert. If you can’t jump then you aren’t a well rounded modern mountain biker. It’s as simple as that. There are several aspects to riding, sure, but the ability to clear “normal” jumps, gaps and drops is an essential and integral part of it. And for all you geniuses arguing that this is ok let’s not forget that she gets paid to do this. She’s supposed to be a professional mountain bike journalist and whilst I by no means expect everyone to have the same riding ability as Sam Pilgrim or Blake Samson, a decent level on par with the others at GMBN is expected.

Places like berm park in canton and baker creek in Knoxville is what makes the southeast one of the best areas to be for Mtb in my opinion, you can ride year round without having a foot of snow for 2 months, the heat is not it though
I have been asking our local MP to get Bradford Council to create a bike park in Keighley and I keep getting told that the parks we have you can take your kids to ,to teach them how to ride their bikes! UK councils are rubbish and don't listen! 😕
Seth is a great guy with a strong sense of community spirit. I first came across him a few years ago when he was doing up a bike to give to somebody that others would recommend. It ended up with a kid about 12 or 13 who volunteered in a bike rescue shop, fixing up old bikes to give to needy kids. His own bike was one of the fixer-uppers. He was speechless when he got Seth's bike and when I saw it was when I clicked the Sub button on Seth's old channel.
Seth rocks been follower for few years made one trip to berm park for not so daring mtb rider i enjoyed the park was worth the trip his you tube channel is inspiring and full of new items for biking and things not so great for mtb .
This awesome there something like this kinda near me about a hour away and it only had 3 trails and it was so poorly maintained it almost wasn’t rideable.
Hope while there you also did some other co-lab... Alex (the (singletrack) sampler) has just bought a house Asheville way I hear, that would be a great vid... Not with Neil tho, Alex would not get his solemnity... Maybe with Rich & his dad😜

Love seeing these types of trials. Just finished a session this morning at my local trail called Hydrocut in Waterloo Ontario. Rated as one of the best single tracks around. All funded and maintained by local companies and volunteers.
Rode Chestnut Park and Berm peak a couple weeks ago, came down from Connecticut to do so, was a great ride and the back country that the town is building is a great addition to Berm Park. Loved the Bear Country and Wildcat trail! More Colabs!!
Been there once last year and can’t wait to get back this year! I live a couple hours away and there’s a lot of places to ride but when I need to hone in on my jumping skills that’s the place I go
Hi guys I'm here to ask a question that I'm very concerned about and please don't make fun of me because of this question because it might be dumb. But what I wanna know is how hard can you press on a hydraulic brake leaver? like if you press to hard will it burst oil? I recently bought a hardtail and this whole MTB stuff is very new to me so I hope you understand and I hope someone answers my question. Thank you 😊
Technically the hydraulic line (which is made of plastic, not steel like on a car or on a excavator) starts to expend slightly at some point, the ammount of oil you push into the system is small and the hydraulic line will absorb that oil and at some point you will reach the grip with the lever. Nothing will burst here.

Really great to get some of the back story behind Bern Park. I'm currently working with the county commissioners are the board to develope trails on the ski hill where I live in Lakeview,OR. Wish me luck!

You can't destroy your lever by pressing it with your hands, no matter how hard you press. You don't have to be concerned. Just ride and have fun ;-)

I hope you rode more than just berm park. Pisgah has several trails, DuPont, Cherokee, kitsuma, kanuga.

9 hour drive to get there, then work my way home, hitting different parks.

Here in New Brunswick Canada, we have some public bike parks that are managed by the cities they are in, or local trail clubs.

Was there on Labor Day this week. Mostly rode the upper part of the park. Ladybird and Wildcat. So fun.
