The silver bar is a magnet. U can pull the locks and connect them to each other

You can connect them end to end if you need to profile a larger piece. There's a magnet and notch on one side of the tool.

Awesome video ARCO. I have some of those contour gauges. They work pretty well. Thanks for sharing. They work for a lot of things. I have used them for cutting tiles for floors in my bathroom. Keep the content coming. Hope you have an incredible night. Much love and RESPECT brother

Good video. I agree about the magnets. I had to reglue the magnets. Additionally, I appreciate your instruction how to tighten the screws to secure the shape. Too bad they do not give instructions with the gauge. Thank you again. Great video.

Thanks Arco, on the metal ones I’ve used the handle is a lot thicker than the wire gage. If you use them as a layout tool to duplicate something it’s easy to trace a little off because your pencil can tip in or out too easy. The plastic ones that you showed won’t have that problem.

Nice looking gauges, Arco 👍. I've got the old wire ones and like the look of those new ones 👍🤓. There must be shops over here selling similar, so thanks for showing and best wishes from jolly old England 👍😎Pete 🤓

Those look nice, I like the sharp point too, so you actually get a sharper figure. I thought it was gonna be blocky

Your right about snap-on stuff made in china . Some of their tool boxes and their blue point stuff . But of course snap on is selling them at snap on prices . No way I am spending thousands of dollars on a box that is made overseas. Snap on is saying the tools are made to our spec , do not care not buying any of that . Think about snap on makes enough money on their tools .

Hey Arco, Wayne Reynolds was made in China. Yep I think so brother. 😜👍

Like everyone else, I love these things. By the way, brother... I wonder how many viewers went online looking for L&M Supply when you mentioned them... LOL
Hell, half of them have probably never heard of Menards, either.

Vintage tools is the way brother..
All new snap on and any other brands are crap compared to the Vintage tools.

I will pick some up based on your quality review. It is hard to find anything not made in China. Made in Japan used to get a bad rap years ago. The Harbor Freight stuff has gotten better in quality while brands like Craftsman have lost my respect. Such is progress.....I guess. Thanks for making the video.

Japan, the best China and Taiwan, CaCa. Japan still takes pride in what they do like the U.S. used to. Hercules is some great tools and as far as the ones with Dewalt and Milwaukee in hand trying to put down someone else's bargain tool's like Hercules that is neck and neck if not straight outperforming them guess what, CHY-NA and it's been that way for a while.

Ol' China Freight makes some good stuff and some bad stuff still too. They've come a long ways since I first set foot in one of their first stores 20 years ago. (use to be mail order only way back in the day) Will have to check those out!
