It was like he was turning 180 degrees every day, suddenly deciding on new hobby's, new characteristics, always played devil's advocate but became furious and paranoid whenever I politely disagreed on something, telling me I was 'not supporting him' and accusing me of thinking he was a disappointment. I've started learning more about Alcohol Fetal Syndrome and recognised his mannerisms, which makes sense, since he was accidentally conceived while his mother was excessively drinking in a loveless marriage, so I understand he was troubled and all. But this whole experience messed me up as well. Luckily I shedded most of the 'psychology' knowledge and I recognise the pickupartists now, so I can call them out the moment they enter the room and tell me my dress is lovely but if I lost 2 kg it would fit me beautifully.
The cringiest part is easily the fact that humans aren't uniform. That's why body language can't really be "studied," as different people display or subdue dominance in different ways. So none of these facts are as universal as they make themselves out to be.

I personally like to let people interrupt so that they can know it's okay to do with me so that I might be able to make a point in the middle of something they were talking about. I think it's an important thing to do because I don't think people can really feel invested in a conversation if they never get to speak. When I don't get to participate in a conversation (if it's 3 or more people), I just go on my phone. Unless I don't know everyone very well, where I'm fine to just spectate. 😅
