Thank you so much Lunacy05 for finally posting this. As I posted elsewhere recently, here are my thoughts: I always regretted never getting one of these. And after seeing this pretty thorough review, I'd say the design still holds up well. It's a shame that it hasn't been updated for the newer figures (although as shown in the review, the newer figures display well with this).
This is the best review and comparison video I have saw just because you cover so many angles (the review, the comparison shots of size, and especially the demonstration of loading it up with all the old vintage figures and also the larger 25th anniversary figs). This is just an excellent review video.
Thanks very much, BallisticJell0! Yup, among all of the HISS versions, this is by far, my favorite for its troop carrier function and loads of firepower! I really wish that Hasbro would just reissue this vehicle for the newer lines and yup, the colors could have done better but still an awesome tank :D
@phillyflopper Thanks very much, phillyflopper! Yup, among all of the HISS tanks, the HISS II is my favorite for being not only a troop carrier, but carries a lot of firepower! Yup, again, i have to agree with you, it's a sad thing that Hasbro don't reissue this awesome vehicle for the newer figures :(
I can totally see that if Hasbro adjusted some minor things on this design (mainly, a more streamlined and functional troop carrier) and color scheme, it could be a big seller with today's market. I personally think the whole HISS tank premise peaked with this design, and almost started back on the right track (no pun) with the DTC HISS.
@phillyflopper Yup, it'll be great that Hasbro would reissue the HISS II, by adjusting minor changes but keeping majority of the overall design still intact. Too much changes to it would just totally turn the HISS II unrecognizable :)
@lunacy05 I'd say the thing that could use some treaking is the troop carrier. Because as large as the back is, I'm surprised that it could only hold 4 figures (I always thought at least 6). It seems like with some seat changes, it could hold at least another 1 or 2. Then again, I've never seen one in person (I always regretted not picking one up).
@popculturehero Thanks very much, popculturehero! You got a complete maggot? Very nice! I too, also manage to get a couple of maggots, but only 1 is a complete and the other is missing the radar dish! :D
@phillyflopper Yeah, i thought the same as you too with the transport seating can hold up to 6 at least. But thanks to the huge lower section of the turret it self, it just ate away what precious space there is (i really don't like that piece sticking out in the middle like that). Oh, you gotta try to pick this baby up, it's really nice! But again, quite difficult to find in mint in box :S

Although a gr8 troop transport. Used as a playset it can hold important cargo with 2 arm troops as security. Gr8 vehicle
They're great vehicles that i own four of these
@@lunacy05 all off ebay? That 30$ u spent on the brand new 1 was priceless. Ur lucky

Good review thank you.
I lolled when you said "very nice" to labeling under threads.
@Vdecepticon Thanks very much, V! Yup, one of the few reasons why i really like gijoes, especially when it comes to vintage vehicles :D
Awesome Review, I enjoyed watching it. Recently got a Maggot, So I may go ahead and add this troop transport to the unit.
Is that a laser cannon? What would it shoot. How would it be loaded.?

@damo9811 Thanks very much, damo! You can still get them in Ebay but you need to do some hunting for a decent priced ones :)

I think it carries NINE figs (two hanging on at the back)

This is a very nice tank!!!!!
That bio X3. That and his red visor is kinda scary to me. Also his design reminds me of General Shadow.
@1of3knights Don't give up, Dave! There's bound to have more HISS II being sold for auction, just keep hunting :D
@theinbaron Oh, you definitely must get one :)
@BigTransFan Lol, Al, who's General Shadow? :o
@lunacy05 He's a villain from Kamen Rider Stronger, he even looks like he belongs in cobra
It's good manners to spit chewing gum out while speaking
