This is a review of all five pull-back (and wind-up) mini-vehicles that transform into backpacks for the action figures. Includes; Cobra Gyrocopter, Cobra Rocket Sled, G.I. Joe ATV, G.I. Joe Tank Car and G.I. Joe Scuba Pack. Equally hard to find as the second series of Action Packs (probably because they weren't ordered in great quatities by retaillers).

This is what makes GiJoe so great. You can have a samurai riding a weaponized go kart and somehow it all makes sense.

Hey hey! Thanks for the shoutout Kevin! And a lovely review. Great that the Rocket Sled is the fastest, as if it were by design! You've convinced me to procure a Scuba Pack for some coastal adventures...

These are pretty cool! The ATV is a bit goofy, to be a backpack. I will start looking for these. Thanks for reviewing them.

Man. How bad would it suck to get picked to take one of these into combat?

The scuba pack kind of interested me. I really want to see that thing being deployed from a Killer W.H.A.L.E.

Starting at 11:40 , Shockwave will soon retire from the G.I Joe team due to chronic back pain he is slowly beginning to develop at that moment.... Crystal Ball told me this..... Crystal Ball is the seventh son of a seventh son, so he knows what he's talking about. : ) Beginning at 8:04 , Hydro Viper gets into a severe crash and is injured. After unable to pay his hospital bills due to Cobra Commander being a cheap skate and only paying minimum wage, Hydro Viper sues Cobra and wins.

They would be more interesting if they were bigger and better designed.

The interesting aspect of a lot of these GI Joe accessories is that they make for good toys, but outside of that you'd wonder if the vehicle designers for both sides were either trying to deliberately out-do each other in terms of goofiness or if drugs were involved. The later years were certainly unusual.
Then I recall stuff the Nazis did when they designed vehicles as well as some of the more unusual ideas of other real-world militarys and realize that, unfortunately, practicality isn't always part of the equation. Sometimes they just throw random things at a wall and see what sticks.
It does also go into something I commented on earlier for their backpack capabilities- most likely anyone strapping these on would break their spine or suffer other serious injuries trying to walk around.
