I have had the Vanilla but not the Apple. Basically your Apple review except its Vanilla, lol. These flavored whiskies clearly serve a narrow purpose typically as mixers. I found trying the Vanilla a fun experience and change up from more traditional and purist whisk(e)y tasting. Tasting some of the flavored lower ABV whisk(e)y spirits is absolutely part of my whisky journey.Thanks Ben for taking the time to explore these spirits. Cheers!

It’s good if you just accept it for what it is. Mix this with some apple cider and you have a great Fall drink. Thanksgiving is in October for Canada and this drink would fit in perfectly for the occasion.

You’d just ruin and waste an otherwise good whiskey and waste your time. This is apple abomination should be only for export to countries that used to make up the former Soviet Union.
Throwing it in one those little barrels with some other bad whiskeys would probably fix it.

The jack daniels Tennessee apple is more apples tasting and smoother than the crown, just my opinion it tastes way better but the crown it very good
Mountain Dew and Crown Apple is another level. Sprite is good but the Mountain Dew adds a lot.

Regular old Crown Royal used to be a go-to whiskey when I was a kid. All the fathers in the neighborhood drank it at parties and we kids would get the little blue bags to put our toys and crayons in. Now, CR is seems to be mostly overlooked in the liquor stores I go to. However, it must sell because there is always a seemingly endless supply of it. I don’t know anyone, except the odd lunatic who is desperate for an an exceedingly apple-flavored mouth wash, who likes the green label CR. If I want something apple flavored, I’d go local and buy something from Leopold Brothers Distilling (craft distillery in Denver, CO, USA). CR is a disappointment to many and making new flavors of it isn’t helping things.

Crown Apple vs Jack Apple
I happen to like regular crown Royal but this seems so artificial and gimmicky. Would not appeal to me. I guess I've "outgrown" this type of product.
