The Crown Royal salted caramel is one of my favorites, the barrel picks are great too 😋

Crown peach is by far the best thing I have ever drank.
Sounds like you need to visit Winnipeg to take in a whisky tasting with me. It is a yummy liqueur but there is a huge world of whisky out there!

You're a very brave man to try these offerings... As soon as you mentioned sugar I knew none of these would be good for my diabetic condition, and I was doing the right thing to steer clear of them. You did a great job on the review!
Thanks FQ! Good point noting that as it is technically a liqueur a diabetic should take caution. There is a Crown Royal Mesquite that is sugar free I think!

Thanks for the review. I’m not generally into flavored whiskies, but I’ve heard so much about this Crown Royal Peach that I told my wife about it since she likes peach flavored vodka in cocktails. She’s not a whiskey drinker at all, but she actually expressed a bit of interest in this. So, I bought a bottle today for my wife to try, but I’ve got to admit that the iced tea cocktail does sound like something I’d like too! Cheers!

I agree on "watch how you drink these cocktails". They are delicious mixed. Especially the peach tea. Try it also "arnold palmer" style (half tea/half lemonade).

You got short changed, Crown Royal apple comes in a green bag, and Crown Royal peach comes in a peach colored bag 😊
Sadly Crown is sold without bags in Canada!

Yeah baby, flavoured whisky! I can't drink the stuff anymore and it was usually the Seagram Fireball Shooter. Incredibly popular whiskies and understandable why distillers produce them. Damn bottles fly off shelves.
Thanks Eric! Obviously not for the purists but definitely make easy cocktails. The Salted Caramel - 100 bottles of more per store and all sold in a week or two. Crazy. My parents inherit two more to add to to their Apple!

I've got a salted caramel I found still unopened in the box from christmas 2018! Haha completely forgot about it. Ill have to open it up and drink it soon. It was good but peach is by far the best in my opinion...really dont care for green apple though.

We get skimped on in Manitoba, the home of Crown Royal! Only rarely do we get any bags. That said, the half bottle apple vanilla etc have little jumpsuits right now 🤣 seen them?

I generally view these as liqueurs, but I suppose we can view this “flavoured whisky” category as being a sort of bottled cocktail of sorts. Your mentioning that it’s about as sweet as Coca-Cola would make sense that refrigerated would be the ideal temperature to subdue the sugar. There are a lot of bottled cocktails coming out, barrel aged old fashioned and the like that use much higher quality ingredients. That peach tea sounds nice though - I may have to create a variation on that myself this summer, using your unsweetened brewed tea, but maybe using Dillon’s Peach Schnapps and Dillon’s Rye Whisky - higher quality ingredients make for a better cocktail! Well done review, Mark... I’m sure the Crown Royal fans have been curious.
Thanks Dylan! Dillon’s will do nicely. Reminds me I need to review my Dillon’s whisky... Truly these are liqueurs - I guess they get some instant brand awareness by using the same logo and calling them flavoured whisky “beverage”. I’m guessing mid teens is the ideal temperature - like cellar temperature - to drink straight. But yep chilled will be best for cocktails! I’m guessing these will be popular like all the flavoured vodkas - some people collect them all....bet Diageo hopes the same happens for these Crowns!

WhiskyWhistle we don’t actually see all those flavours here in Ontario... I believe we have Apple and Maple here. I’ve only had maple and it was too sweet for me. Gibson’s Finest Rare had a Maple Edition got the Grey Cup a few years back, which used maple wood, and was truly whisky. As for the comparison to flavoured vodkas, I’m going to have to disagree, as flavoured vodkas are still Spirits, as they have no sugar added. Depending on the brand, the technique of adding these flavours could be steeped or even vapour distilled like gin.
I don’t mean to say they are whisky as I have clearly called them liqueurs - what I mean Dylan is that they seem to be collectible much like flavoured vodkas for people who collect those - some crazy collectors out there.

Sorry, brother, I’m not big fan of flavored whiskey. Peach and Apple schnapps can be good though. Salted caramel whisky is just all kinds of wrong😏 IMHO.
I do like strawberry vodka with elderflower lemonade, w/ shot of Roses Lime. Strawberry Steppes😏

WhiskyWhistle Yep, my wife and I like it during the summer. A couple of dashes of orange bitters helps. I do 1:2 on Strawberry Smirnoff:good vodka (Grey Goose or Russian Standard).
The peach isn’t that good it’s to strong if u like something sweet
