The biology of the orks is genius. And the fact that what they believe to be true becomes true makes this faction really interesting. They are unique as a fantasy-sci-fi faction.
Because I know it must be included:

When firepower takes up the entirety and eternity of space and time, all beings stuck in a neverending life and death cycle as bullets recover and destroy their bodies in quick succession. Dakka is not merely a state of being, it is also a state of mind. There will never be enough dakka to an Ork as it is something to strive for
Ork language revolves around fights. Even a speech roughly translated is "Beating of the mind"
Their closest word for “friend” is also “favorite enemy”. Tells you everything, really.
The only gits in the entire verse havin a grand old time.
I know nothing about 40k, but as silly and stereotypical it is for orc(k)s to be brutish warriors, it's really cool how their language actually reflects their culture just like how it does in real life. It adds a lot of depth to a race that usually feels very shallow.
Finally, a realistic depiction of british culture and geopolitics.

Hearing your voice, which is generally either explaining horrifying anomalies or narrating cosmic horror, go through these ludicrous Ork names just adds another layer of entertainment to the video.

I think my favorite thing about the orcs is how their space ships commonly have no containment whatsoever. Their decks are wide open to the vacuum of space and the power of the WHAAG and the simple lack of understanding orcs have completely nullifies any adverse effects. They can even somehow scream and cheer in vacuum its fucking nuts and I love it.
The Old Ones created the Eldar and noticed they were too uptight, so they decided to get it right the second time around, their next batch of creations would know how to have fun.

I’ve never really liked the orcs but gosh I love their naming conventions

Orks are the 40k universe's equivalent of ''We do a little trollin''
I've heard some speculation the human Yarrik was as great as he was because the orks believed he was just that good.
The most obvious example is Yarrik being one of the first human commissars to stomp around with an ork power claw ... probably because the orks knew he was that strong, so of course he could use it.
There's also speculation as to whether or not Yarrick's laser-shooting replacement-eye was designed that way, or if the orks knew that "anyone that yarrik laid his eyes one died"
I don’t know why but this makes me think of a Tau giving a presentation on all of this to their military after nearly dying sure the diplomacy attempts. Mostly cause I feel like they are the only faction that would be this detailed with the information.
I can't wait to see the Chaos Marine version of armaments review, and the Tyranid one aswell.
two comments on the first minute:
1) while most orks enjoy going fast towards combat, only speedfreakz like to go fast for going fasts sake
2) while most orks will use shootaz, it's less a "shoot everything in sight" and more a way to make the charge towards the enemy more enjoyable because LOUD NOISES and hitting something is mostly just luck given the choice, any true ork will choose a propa krumpin over shooting from a distance

Instead of fighting them, the empire should seek to utilizing them. Gork and Mork may be the only thing that can stand against the tyranid onslaught so controlling those two complete social disasters might be the only way for the Empire to survive either.
That sounds like a positive feedback loop that's destined to go wrong and just result in each faction getting exponentially stronger.
@@Xune2000 The answer to that is containment. The Orcs cannot be contained as such but they can be funnelled. They can even be manipulated to funnel themselves. This is a question of simple cultivation and optimising processes. The Tyranids originates from an unknown location - as of yet, at least. But their presence in his excellence the God-emperor's galaxy is centered on specific points, the hive fleets. Research is needed, but if a hive-fleet could be lured to a specific location spanning enough systems for the orcs to remain active for long enough to build momentum, and if the orcs could be funnelled there in their Waargs from all across his excellence the God-emperor's galaxy, then perhaps a containment could be established. More research is needed, as I said, but it remains clear that every stone must be turned in finding a solution tyo the mounting thread of the Tyranid incursion upon our might.

Yes and no. It requires large numbers of orks in an area to make things possible. And it's very hard to make the Orks believe anything about humies besides "they is reel stoopid"

Also the weird thing about Orks, is because their intelligence has diminish so much over time since they were the Krorks back during the War in Heaven, they've lost their ability to basically control reality. Krorks use to be able to activity imagine anything into a weapon but because the old ones got wiped out, they've had no one to help them maintain this knowledge of their abilities

I would disagree with not characterizing them as "ravenous." Both in terms of eating (grots, gretchen, squigs or even other boyz) or a 'hunger' for a better foit and more krumpin. It could be argued that even their reproductive process is quite ravenous, as there are not many ways to rid a world of a greenskin invasion, short of the myriad of ways the Emprium can go all Exterminatus, or some peer equivalent.
Ravenous, while not a conventional word one might use to describe the Orks, it is nonetheless fitting. For nothing about an Ork is conventional.

I almost couldn't make it to the end of the video. Your clinical voice saying all these goofy names, like your seriously reading a 3yo's written masterpiece. Towards the end with the fortresses i was sure you were gonna break tone and laugh having to say "Super Flakka, Dakka, Choppas, Big Burstas" and every other ridiculous name in succession.
