Watching a couple of the games, I quickly noticed her teammates are literally standing around waiting for Caitlin to magically make stuff happen. As for the coach, she needs to find her calling…in the fast food industry. The fact that it took two preseason games and two huge losses to finally move Caitlin into the “General’s roll” as the playmaker tells me she’s not very bright. “OK Caitlin, stand off to the side over there while double or triple teamed and make something happen.”
Her failures are her teammate lack of skills. 2 years in a row she carried a .500 Iowa team at best to the championship game. And her fever team is horrible.
This is a made up narrative . Turnovers were (8): one offensive foul, 2 times she stepped on the sideline, 3 deflected passes that were stolen before reaching the target and two long passes touched by teammates first. One was an outlet where she tried to lob over Stewart and her teammate was only able to get one hand on it but never controlled. The other she tried to thread the needle on a bounce pass to her teammate between two defenders. The pass made it through but was either deflected or thrown off line. Her teammate tried to reach behind to make the play but the ball hit her hips right as her hands touched the ball and she never controlled it. True her teammates mishandled some other balls that could have led to baskets but they didn’t lose possession so no turnovers went to anybody. Clark had a lot of the same type turnovers in college averaging nearly five a game her last year and being high on the list of turnovers all time in the NCAA. She is known for throwing passes others wouldn’t which fans love. In college her teammates bobbled balls too. The difference is WNBA players reaction time is better than B10 so instead of a recovery and basket those passes turn into steals. True she was close to another double/double accept a couple of offensive fouls weren’t called and a deflected passes went out of bounds or were recovered by teammates before being stolen. Not saying Sides is making good coaching decisions or that a lot of the players that are getting into the game aren’t playing to their ability but Clark has to own most of her turnovers.

Go look back at the tape of Caitlin Clark in her last game in college when she lost to South Carolina came off the court and she barely hugged her coach. Just my perception I think she's a spoiled brat she's now in the big leagues you have teammates for a reason can't get along with them your success will be limited.
They didn't fumble anything. She made flashy passes that were behind bigs running full speed on a fast break that got lost in traffic. The bounce pass behind, for example, was terrible and should've been a lob over the top for an easy 2. This video puts everything on the team but no accountability on caitlin. Do better

This is what she should be doing (with coaches encouragement), since Caitlin is playing the “New Generational Football@ started by Steph Curry. In fact, the coach should be aware of this. She may have made her situation worse by not speaking to the coach more discreetly, or in private. The coach has the responsibility to push team, to discuss the reality of a “New Generational Basketball”. The players ALSO need to be aware, that Steph Curry has changed “Basketball” Period. Feel like it's a lot of things. Boston for example clearly wasn't in the best shape to start off this season. I think the organization as a whole needs a lot of reworking, and we are seeing why they only won 13 games last year. Also, they were thrown to the wolves right off the bat having to face NY and CONN. NY in particular is a very talented and stacked team. Makes perfect sense. When a real baller like Clark joins the WNBA she quickly finds out that most of her teammates don't put out 100% effort (according to their coach, no less). If you've been watching the NBA playoffs, you've seen every player giving 100% effort, with many playing through serious injuries. Which is why NBA games are so much more exciting to watch. Relax. Why does it seem everybody thinks they will play together as well as the Hawkeyes played together within a month? She had the same players with her for 2,3 and 4 years. Even so she averaged 4.7 turn overs a game when her former teammates KNEW the passes were coming. So she has 3 or 4 more turnovers a game with a whole new set of people? Just growing pains. They will get more cohesive with time, if people don't get in the middle of it and screw it up.

Watching a couple of the games, I quickly noticed her teammates are literally standing around waiting for Caitlin to magically make stuff happen. As for the coach, she needs to find her calling…in the fast food industry. The fact that it took two preseason games and two huge losses to finally move Caitlin into the “General’s roll” as the playmaker tells me she’s not very bright. “OK Caitlin, stand off to the side over there while double or triple teamed and make something happen.”

This is a made up narrative . Turnovers were (8): one offensive foul, 2 times she stepped on the sideline, 3 deflected passes that were stolen before reaching the target and two long passes touched by teammates first. One was an outlet where she tried to lob over Stewart and her teammate was only able to get one hand on it but never controlled. The other she tried to thread the needle on a bounce pass to her teammate between two defenders. The pass made it through but was either deflected or thrown off line. Her teammate tried to reach behind to make the play but the ball hit her hips right as her hands touched the ball and she never controlled it. True her teammates mishandled some other balls that could have led to baskets but they didn’t lose possession so no turnovers went to anybody. Clark had a lot of the same type turnovers in college averaging nearly five a game her last year and being high on the list of turnovers all time in the NCAA. She is known for throwing passes others wouldn’t which fans love. In college her teammates bobbled balls too. The difference is WNBA players reaction time is better than B10 so instead of a recovery and basket those passes turn into steals. True she was close to another double/double accept a couple of offensive fouls weren’t called and a deflected passes went out of bounds or were recovered by teammates before being stolen. Not saying Sides is making good coaching decisions or that a lot of the players that are getting into the game aren’t playing to their ability but Clark has to own most of her turnovers.

Well CC is constantly standing around flat footed, just like her college days at Iowa. The Fever are playing with last year’s Rookie of the Year, Boston from South Carolina-who showed some brilliance last year and a potential to be another A’ja Wilson type of game changer (who happens to be from South Carolina too).

Caitlin was drafted by the worst team in the league last season. She is frustrated with the worst team and the worst coach? She is right and she needs help. She made her debut in college and she had not a teammate massive problem with the Iowa Hawkeyes and she still loved her teammates.
This looks like a team that hasn’t been playing or practicing for anymore than a month. There’s some talent on this team but they all need to focus and that focus should be around Clark being the starting point guard. Offense goes through her and anyone that doesn’t like it needs to be let go. This team should be all about helping Clark get better as a pro! That in time will translate to wins because that’s what she all about winning!! Worked for Jordan and the Bulls and it can work for them.

Feel like it's a lot of things. Boston for example clearly wasn't in the best shape to start off this season. I think the organization as a whole needs a lot of reworking, and we are seeing why they only won 13 games last year.
Also, they were thrown to the wolves right off the bat having to face NY and CONN. NY in particular is a very talented and stacked team. I mean FFS, they have two of the the very best players in the nation with years of experience, Sabrina & Breanna.

Makes perfect sense. When a real baller like Clark joins the WNBA she quickly finds out that most of her teammates don't put out 100% effort (according to their coach, no less). If you've been watching the NBA playoffs, you've seen every player giving 100% effort, with many playing through serious injuries. Which is why NBA games are so much more exciting to watch. For most of the game, almost everyone is playing as if their lives depended on winning.
It's a team sport, Caitlin is used to vibing with her long time teammates at Iowa. She's used to team chemistry and trust. If I was their coach I would be doing team bonding exercises to get the girls to trust each other intuitively.

Relax. Why does it seem everybody thinks they will play together as well as the Hawkeyes played together within a month? She had the same players with her for 2,3 and 4 years. Even so she averaged 4.7 turn overs a game when her former teammates KNEW the passes were coming. So she has 3 or 4 more turnovers a game with a whole new set of people? Just growing pains. They will get more cohesive with time, if people don't get in the middle of it and screw it up.
