    True story: I remember Giuseppe Rossi bursting through the ranks, so I got the number 42 shirt. A week later they gave him the number 19 shirt, a couple of months later he left on loan and never returned.

    I am a bit older than you Adam but I remember watching Guiseppe and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Fraizer Campbell playing for the reserves and ripping it up. He had a wand of a left foot. I too have followed his career because he was such a talent. His injuries and lost seasons have not diminished his love of playing and of his love for United. Once a red, always a red!!!

    Fantastic interview and what a sound guy he comes across as. I remember him coming through the youth set up and thinking he was going to be huge at United. Such a shame that injuries hampered his chances to get the moves his talent deserved but what he did do is memorable and like he said he was the best player behind Ronaldo & Messi in the league at one time and not many can say that.

    Rossi hit the nail on the head not only about football in the USA but sports in general.
    All sports are growing towards this major money making soulless experience. Far too much money going to the top without any of it going down to help develop.
    The USA is built on sports that require more than just a ball and space. Basketball you need the hoop, American football you need the padding, baseball you need the bat and bases. Football is built on it's simplicity and that something as simple as an empty can and a few coats can make a whole day of fun.

      @@Soccertz1 I'll try again. Did you watch the video? From what I recall (It's bee a while since I watched this.), he struggled to find others to play football with as a kid. Football (Soccer, for *uneducated* Americans.) is not the US' most popular sport and if they had of remained the obedient little colony they once were, it more than likely would be. Along with many other bonuses that come with belonging to such a marvellous empire. Unfortunately the US' *selective* education programs, especially in history (Hashtag: Not all, just most.), may suggest otherwise. They're wrong...
      Seriously though, the US is great but no nation is perfect. Sooo get over it or, give me something more entertaining to chat about, rather nitpicking at my very, very humorous post. British humour, see, see what you're missing. ;)
      Google's American, isn't it. XD

    • @Soccertz1
      @Soccertz1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wtfamiactuallyright1823 yeah, you wasted your time on this one. I was referring to teams not pickup games. When I heard him say that I tried to go back to delete the post but couldn’t find it. 🤪🤪 but I do hope you had fun writing that…🤣

    • @wtfamiactuallyright1823
      @wtfamiactuallyright1823 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Soccertz1 I'm a little disappointed that the only cognitive dissonance I experienced here was from Google' algorithms, but I'll get over it and it's never a waste of time reminding Americans that they are the ******** child of the British Empire.
      Clearly you're one of the smarter Americans out there and could be of use to us Brits. We'll give you 1$ a week if you'll help us in our propaganda program, wait, 2$ since you appear to be of higher calibre than usual? We'll raise it to 2£ a week if you do a good job, get back to me asap, plz. I bid you good day, hopefully to future colonialist and potential, British citizen if you please us. ;)
