    I just know that an import cars is crazy expensive in malaysia,the prices is unreasonable when it's included with tax.
    Seriously,government should just let us freely choose whatever car we wanted,they put a high tax to an import cars so they can forces Malaysians choose a local branded cars that was built with a low quality.
    For example:Vios car,the original prices range is about RM 40K - RM 50K,after it's included with high tax the prices is doubled.
    See if government don't put a high tax on almost everything,normal peoples in Malaysia can affords to buy most of the import cars.
    Malaysia government:a f*cking shit eater

      Wrong. Car import tax is one of gov major income. You thought the tax will not there even if Proton not around anymore? Dream on. Gov need income to run the country. If they cut car tax, they certainly need to increase tax from other sources.

    • @kobir80
      @kobir80 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      exactly u right but if there is deduction on and price cheaper how proton and produa want to survive?not patriotic :)

    Many like Camry but 2.5 Hybrid NO trunk through, 2.0 not powerful enough. Trunk through is 'essential' for modern sedan.

  • @TheBenjamin1203
    @TheBenjamin1203 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Still, the car is lacking identity. It doesn't quite fit in compared to the XV 40. Although the redesigned front is better than what it used to be in the pre - facelift, it's still lacking it's identity on the road.

    To a huge majority of Camry buyers and owners in Malaysia, resale value and ease of mind reliability is at the top of their lists. Imagine this, that battery pack only has a 8-year assurance, after that, what happens ? The whole idea of buying a Toyota is the concept of tank-like reliability built upon solid, proven technology. Yet, hybrid technology is nowhere near as proven as good 'ol petrol (or even diesel), it's only been here sine the late-90s. It's ironic that the Camry Hybrid is now the best Camry by far from UMW Toyota, and yet it's traditionally the least Camry-like Camry, by far. This is good news if you value a car for what it is, and not for what others think of it. Resale value revolves around demand, and reliability is largely a perception issue. It is difficult to prove the above two criteria, but it's easy to prove that the new Camry Hybrid is well-equipped and safer than ever. Toyota might have alienated their traditional customers with the new Camry Hybrid, but they will certainly win over newer, more youthful buyers at least. UMW Toyota should continue this trend if they intend to win back their no.1 non-national crown from Honda Malaysia. This means the Vios facelift must be equally impressive too.

  • @einstein9901

    It was never Toyotas fault for being slow. It was UMW's stinginess and laziness to provide up to date cars to malaysians

    Why is this car considered a luxury car in this country? In Europe and America it's used for taxis... The camry is a common sedan not a luxury car like it's considered here

    • @amiruladib9363
      @amiruladib9363 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because it's expensive here in Malaysia

    • @blindking3475
      @blindking3475 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's nearly 100% tax on this "luxury car", it cost around 175k MYR(42k USD)

      In Malaysia, its expensive

    • @Trompinator
      @Trompinator 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not the same model. In some countries as Malaysia, Japan, Russia or Argentina (price: USD 73k) is a premium sedan and has different specs.

    • @rahul4288
      @rahul4288 ปีที่แล้ว

      Different specs in India and Malaysia. Many more features than the taxis you are referring to.
      Its compared with Audi A6 and E Class here.

      Nope! Toyota on my opinion today is just a joke. Look at the new face lift Corolla Altis and new Prius(on Toyota USA site)are just terribly design,bad handling,shit tech and nothing new. Would rather get an old Prius than the new one if it comes to Malaysia.

    3 years/ 100,000 km warranty... utter crap... and whats worse... only the top unit has all the safety.. it clearly says toyota is no longer the car for the people.. but the car for the ppl who can afford it... for 175k... i would add a bit more and get a german car.. even a passat would be more worth it.. sorry toyota... another fail if you ask me...

    All the new Camry looks to far, stupid not aerodynamic, didn't need that big of a front grill too far over find in most things, Toyota's are getting worst looking, while Hyundai are getting more better looking
