- In this episode, I'm going to take you shopping with me to several different thrift stores for some great home decor finds! Oh you know we're going to find the stuff!!! Along the way, we meet up with someone very rude....I almost can't believe what she did!!! Anyway, if you're ready for a good shopping adventure then let's do this!!!

Prayers for your mom. I have had people do that to me. Whenever I see something really cute, I throw it in my basket and then look at it. Then people have to wait for me to put it back before they can take it. Though one time I did have one lady take stuff out of my basket when I was looking at something else!

Yes you really clip the fish on the board. LOL It helps hold the fish while you are cleaning it.
I had a similar experience Kelly, my sister-in-law and I were thrifting one day. There was a huge ornate wall hanging and we both were thinking where we could put it in our house and discussing it with each other. All of a sudden this women reached over the both of us and grabbed it, put it in her cart and walked away. We both were stunned but eventually we couldn’t stop laughing about her rudeness 😮
I’m be learned from watching other people shop that you’ve got to put it in your cart right away. Even then people will try to snatch thing out if you turn away for a second.
You are so lucky. There are no good thrift stores near me. I can't believe the good stuff you find.
The Simply Shabby Chic (by Rachel Ashwell) etched glass cloche was a HTF item worth some real $. Hated to see you pass it up! I would have snatched it up in a heartbeat! Really enjoy your channel - wish I lived closer! But I appreciate you sharing all your fun finds and make-overs with us. Gorgeous stuff. You have a great eye and are so creative!

Wow! The prices on the galvanized,and other items youins find at your thrift stores, Goodwill stores are simply amazing ! Around here they want 3-4 ×'s the prices up there....I would love to come up there and hit every one of the stores youins always frequent! I would have to have to have a van to haul everything home! LOL!! The unadulterated rudeness in some people these days are just mind blowing! I've actually had that happen to me .... when we spot an item that intrigues us ,and someone else is contemplating on the item..we wait for them to either take it ,or leave it. I had the exact same thing happen to me, and I was so gobsmacked I couldn’t even speak. I would never reach over, or around someone and take something they were looking at. Us thrifters can be fanatics, but that is no excuse for bad behavior….thats right “even Jesus saw” 😂😂😂😂

Hi. Just a thought. For the metal container with the grapes on it, you can use a mold form to cover it up and it would be economical and add better character. The mold could be seasonal , a farm animal or a flower...just anything. It would also make good how to video for you and Jennie 😊. Love your channel , your heart and all your friends. That bored with a clip is a fish scaler. You clip the tail in in the clip and scale your fish

Kelly, that “fish clip board” is for scaling fish. The clip holds the fish tail 🐟. My father had one but I’m not sure if he actually used it 😅

that fish board is used for when your cleaning your catch. put the tail in the clip to help hold the fish

I found a beautiful brass hammered metal deer with 2/ on the Goodwill tag but couldn’t find the other. It’s one of my favorite ornaments.

I love your channel, new subscriber. So I have been thrifting for 40+ years., and I have had people grab stuff from my basket, my hand, over my shoulder, knock me out of the way, contact sport 😂 but after I get over my frustration, I always seem to find a better piece, like you did. I choose to be kind,considerate and happy. Best to your mom and chemo, I was a nurse and I know how exhausting it can be in her fight with with cancer.

Omg! Couldn't believe you passed up that little pie safe.. they are scarce as hen's teeth.
The fish clipboard is used for scaling fish. They clip the tail and use a scaling knife/tool to get the scales off before gutting and cleaning it.
Fish clipboard lol. It is for fish but the clip is to hold the fishes tail while you scale and filet it. Love your channel!

Yes, my mom is doing so much better, Leslie!!! I’m so thankful…it was a little scary there for awhile but I think she’s going to make a fulll recovery!! And, when it rains it pours….now my dad falling down the stairs…that was really unexpected, that’s for sure! Oh well….what can you do?!?!? Oh my gosh, YES the same thing has happened to me a few times recently! Looking at something, taking a pic of it etc... then someone comes from behind and reaches in front of you and grabs it! I think you're so in shock you can't even react! I think I am prepared for next time though... 😂💜

I just pushed it to the lady and said here it's yours. She didn't know what to make of it but she still took it ha ha. Winner winner chicken dinner you did get a better deer set. Praying for a swift healing!! It's so hard when our parents aren't well. The little bike was darling with the birds. I saw so many beautiful things. I keep my little trees out with Winter scenes and put them away in February. I love Christmas trees.🎄🎄🎄🎄.

My adult children know Momma doesnt hold her tongue when it comes to two things : rude people and bad customer service . There have been a few occasions over the years where I heard about an incident after it happened and either they or another family member has said " That person best be glad your Momma wasnt here " . 😂

the fish 'clipboard' is actually for help in cleaning and gutting fish. the clip holds the tail so that whomever is cleaning it can use both hands.....I did chuckle at the fish clipboard comment!
Sending you good thoughts, that your parent's health improves quickly. I've worked in retail, on both sides of the purchase order, one bad customer can really mess up the day. Shake it off, you found better DEER at that last stop! Thrifting makes my day better too.

I have that house! I bought it at a rummage sale our local lake has every year. It was marked 3 dollars and the lady said just give me 2. Still haven’t figured exactly what I’m going to do with it but I just loved it!
