I need to tell people who will understand. I saw a FB video from a local thrift shop and I spotted an LE Smith Stars and Moon Colonial Blue Fairy Lamp. I told my hubby- we have to go. I got it for $25.00 . I am so excited
I can’t tell you how many times I see things I would love to have-of course Jocelyn has no need for it! I turn to my husband and ask him how many hours to Pennsylvania or Maryland?from Cincinnati😂
4:32 That little “doggie” was my daughter! 😂 She had dressed up as Skye from Paw Patrol, thus the dog barking. We saw you from afar but didn’t want to disturb. Next time though my kiddos would like to say hello! My 5 year old (the one barking) is a huge fan! We enjoy your videos. Thanks for creating them! 🤍
The thing you said maybe a magazine holder is what my great grandmother had next to the piano and she put her sheet music in it. IDK if thats what it is but I hope that helps
7:33 🤣 You know he came across that goat head and thought, ‘Oh, boy! This is something very, very special. I will take it to my people and they will be so pleased and proud of me!’
Ugh all those plate stacks! Maybe if Goodwill lowered their prices, they could clear some merchandise!? They could still make profits and help the community! Fun video as always with great finds!
Nothing says "I love you" more then when your furbaby brings home a goat head as a present for you. 😂😂 The well placed sticker on the cat butt made me lol too!
I’m a retired decorative painter and so often I had designer friends have me touch up some of their ceramic pieces…. Chips refabricating with putty and so forth. That lady would have been such an easy fix for those with the paints and skill to do it. I’m like- I can fix it for you Jocelyn!😂❤I’m surprised with your vast network of friends that someone can’t help you salvage those cool slightly knicked up pieces. I know! Get Juliette! You have a little artist in the family!🥰
Jocelyn leaves the set of copper bowls sitting there in the figurine aisle. ((sigh)) 09:20 Sheet music or magazine holder. The design is old school, but my guess is the piece itself is post-WWII.
My Granddaughter received an axolotl 2 months ago, she saw one at her school and fell in love with it, alot of work getting the tank set and water set up, the end result was beautiful.
Love your videos my friend!! Love to see what you find!! You are a sweet person!! Love you and your channel!! You have a beautiful family!! Much love!! 💙💙❤️❤️💕💕🥰🥰💜💜🌺🌺🙏🙏😊😊💖💖💕💕🌹🌹🌹🌹🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Jocelyn’s fans have been asking this exact question for years and none of us has come up with a good answer LOL. No antique malls in my county, not a single one.
I went to a Goodwill today and there was NOTHING! Nothing vintage, nothing interesting, not even anyone restocking the empty shelves. Such a disappointment.
@@VikiAnderson I stopped going to GW / most thrifts and started doing liquidation lots of new cosmetics/toiletries (HBA). Profit is lower but finding product is easier.
Depends on your area and what is donated. I live in an area with 2 universities 7 miles apart. Every once in a while, you can find something fun, but usually, it is college student quality.
There were similar plates to the two you got but they had blue trim. They were underneath a couple other plates in a high stack to the left of the ones you got, but had the same shape. They could have been the same kind, and there more of them.😊
@@patriciabarden2821 no one is stopping anyone from enjoying Avon. But as a reseller looking to turn a profit, there’s not much to be had. It’s not about a stigma or bashing the company it’s just that for the most part the pieces aren’t valuable enough for resellers to deal with
Look for a punty mark on glass pieces (like the big ruffle bowl). The dip in the middle on the bottom in the center is where they broke the punty off after transferring the piece from the blowpipe to the punty to work on the top part of the piece. I spent 6 years learning the blow art glass. If it's perfectly smooth on the bottom, it was probably not made by hand.
Some people refer to that mark as a pontil mark as CLL does. She also points out that some handblown glass has had the pontil polished smooth. She knows her glass and educates many of us about blown glass.
I would have fun sponged the lady head but knowing your gut - we will probably watch it end up being worth big money 😋 Got my coffee today. Can't wait to try it/
So I've been wondering why everyone rags on avon. Three have been many collabs with some well known jewelry designers. And some of their bottles if before 1965 can bring some cha ching
But the large majority of their items were massed produced and do not bring a lot of money. If an individual collector comes across a piece that makes them happy, that’s awesome. Resellers generally can’t flip these for a profit. Just because a thing is pretty doesn’t mean it will sell for a profit.

Thats exciting! Congrats!

That’s so cool! How fun to see Jocelyn out and about!
The copper bowl set!
The copper bowls with ring handles next to the rusty tin were killer!! The patina on them was perfect. I would have snapped them up!
Had to back up the video to see what you were referring to. I agree the copper bowls looked like a good thing!
The thing you said maybe a magazine holder is what my great grandmother had next to the piano and she put her sheet music in it. IDK if thats what it is but I hope that helps
Yep, that’s exactly what it’s for. I have one just like it!☺️
It’s a music lyre to place music in.
👍
Yes I have a white one I inherited from a relative I think they're fairly old he kept his organ sheet music in it
The item you were asking about is for holding music books or hymnals and would sit on the top of a piano.
As a potter, the little blue pot is a egg separator. Whites will come out the slit.
When the bottles aren’t embossed, marked with a company name or pharmacy or a doctor they are basically called slicks.
7:33 🤣 You know he came across that goat head and thought, ‘Oh, boy! This is something very, very special. I will take it to my people and they will be so pleased and proud of me!’
That Royal Hagar console bowl was amazing. I love it
I love it!
You are my favorite reseller by far. I love your comments and always in awe of your nail color selection!
If there’s ever a gut to trust, it would be yours!!! I LOVE it when you pick the derpy-faced unique pieces that need to be rescued! 🥰
Ugh all those plate stacks! Maybe if Goodwill lowered their prices, they could clear some merchandise!? They could still make profits and help the community! Fun video as always with great finds!
It was nice chatting with you....thank your for passing along the things canister!
That’s a holder for music or lps.
I totally would have bought those two Glassbake bread pans from your booth. I loved the MCM patterns.
8:30 lyre rack - sheet music by a piano.

The well placed sticker on the cat butt made me lol too!
I think I would pass out if my dog brought a baby goat head home. 😮😳
Mine, brought me a lamb leg, our neighbor was butchering them it was awful 😅
Oh my cats like to bring rat heads, I would totally loose it if they brought “Live Stock “parts.. Geez kinda glad about city life at this moment.. lol

What a great shopping . I really like the two plates you found absolutely beautiful. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Take the Hager vase. You could put velt on the bottom to cover the chips
That harp rack holds sheet music or records. Perfect for a music room
❤ love that console bowl and that dog was too cute ❤
“Thank you canister, for the inspiration.” 😆
😂😂😂
So glad you took the lady chalkware plaque.. I bet she's something special. Great video as always.
Ooooooh@ those two glassbake loaf pans 😍😍😍😍
Glass or ceramic is so much better than aluminum!
The lyre is for music books & sheet music. I have one beside my piano to keep my favorite pieces close & stored neatly & safely.

Your little holder is probably for sheet music
I love when you shop with dagney
That glass animal with the stickers looks just like the one u picked up in Fl! Same ears!
I think the lyre-shaped rack would be great for sheet music.
What fun shopping love to see what you can find at the
Goodwill. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful
Also at 4:30, I think you missed the holder for those coasters sitting next to the coasters...at least I think so...maybe...lol Love the vids!
Why do all your goodwill have good stuff? In NC and VA they only have cheap junk
They don't send their stuff to the online store. My Goodwill stores look up every item and send it. I stopped going to our stores.

Copper bowls 2:27
CLL inspires us … CLL gets inspiration from a goodwill canister ! Love this video so many fun finds … thank you for the inspiration
I love to see how much they are charging for Dollar Tree items. Always way more.
Weren’t those vintage copper mixing bowls?
The harp holder is for albums
I think the gold harp stand is a sheet music holder.
May have been more Anthro plates with blue wavy edges one shelf down from where you found the two purple ones?
I like the atomic pattern on that glass bake
There were similar plates to the two you got but they had blue trim. They were underneath a couple other plates in a high stack to the left of the ones you got, but had the same shape. They could have been the same kind, and there more of them.😊
Avon bottles and ceramics were produced by high end companies.
I wish we could get past the stigma of Avon, And enjoy a piece of glass for its merit

I still don,t know what this aversion to all things from China, beautiful are not it,s lovely but let's put that back.
Personally, with items from China, I don’t trust the ingredients of the piece. Is it loaded with lead and made out of other nefarious materials?
Now you don’t even have to go to the wood or plaque section for inspiration! The canisters and vases have got you too! 🎉
"Thank you cannister"...lol
That metal thing might be for sheet music. Total guess. Get it for the baubles lol! I would too
The pretty cast metal piece is for sheet music
It’s a magazine holder circa 1980s. One sat in my Mom’s living room for over 30 years.
It also looks like it could hold records or sheet music
The little clear bottles reminds me of medicine bottles from the 50's.
My daughter in law has an axolotl. It’s adorable but a lot of work to keep everything just so!
I have learned so much from you!
It's a magazine holder. I have that same one. I love it.😊😊😊
Maybe for music books??
Love and collect

The harp holds music books.
I loved the Rae Dunn pass off “pssst” 😂
The apple mugs are Portmerion, Pamona
The holder is for albums
I thought i read some where that Fenton made some glass items for Avon. Has anyone else heard that or am i remembering wrong ?
The golden harps look like they would hold music to me.
Meant to hold records maybe.
9:19 Sheet music?
I think it’s for holding papers
Wow, did you just pass up some old copper bowls?
I saw those too and was wondering if they were bowls or planters.
Contemporary Ray Dunn😂😂😂
I have that cat creamer!
I believe it's from music sheets?
Buy it for the bobbles😊
I loved the little pottery pots 😊
can you update us on the chalkware lady? I am curious
I feel like Goodwills should have a free or deeply reduced table for yogurt and pickle jars
The lyre is a magazine rack.
The magazine rack, the bottom is missing so everything will fall out

Hi Jocelyn❤️ 4 birds? I have one bird and a dog that run my life! Thanks for taking us to Goodwill😁
The Royal Hager for $2.49!! 😮❤
I was given a Jim Shore Cat in perfect condition. How do I go about selling it?
I doubt that there are any clues on THIS channel. 😄
I thing it may hold music books?
I think we need a new game - instead of finding the praying hands, it’s when you point out the yogurt containers! 😅

The wall plaque looks like German manufacturer. The elongated neck was popular at the time. I have seen a few German busts done in the same manner.
