- Let's go shopping for garage sale finds, that is until the rain puts a dead holt to that! Then we're going to hit the thrift stores, because you know what???? It NEVER rains in the thrift store!!!! There might have been a reason why it rained because we found a ton of stuff at those stores!!! So, if you're ready to get on the road and go shopping....then let's do this!!!

That short little lamp would look cute on a kitchen counter or shelf. Or on the bathroom counter. I love using short lamps in those locations. That one had a great wood tone base.

I would love finding good stuff like you!!! I have to do a lot of thriving to get a few good things. I am very rural and not much to shop except walmart. So not much gets thrifted. I look forward to summer and garage sales. Cow creamers sell really well for me too.

Just wanted to say your awesome just the way you are! Very inspiring and super relatable! I live in michigan also, in marine city area so not very far from your shop. I have to make it a point to get there sometime soon! I also just wanted to add that I picked up a couple of those small shorty lamps. Battery powered are perfect for the weather we have been having. Put it on a shelf with some fresh batteries and you know exactly where it is when the power goes out! I go to the Utica and chesterfield Salvation Army’s and I must have come just after you because I picked up a few items that you have shown! It’s pretty funny to watch and I’m like holy cow, I just bought that exact thing!😆

Just wanted to give you a heads up if you don't already know. There is a St. Vincent de Paul store in the Target plaza at Lakeside. The store is closer to the Planet Fitness location way down at the far end. I didn't have time to check it out when I saw it but it's likely worth a try for you. AND the Metamora folks would have loved the horse pillow! Also that dismembered doll made me laugh because my brother would rip the arms off my Barbie and blame it on his GI Joe doll telling me that war isn't pretty. No wonder one of Barbie's vocations later on in her life was a nurse. Wait. Do I have a weird sense of humor? Nah.
You are so lucky as our Thrift Stores will not accept Christmas things, let alone display it, at this time of year.
