I am not christened. I pray to God nearly every night. I never really understood the Catholic faith. You inspire me Father Chris. I would love to be Christened. I am 50. I almost died 2 and a half years ago. I am glad I didn’t, and now have a second chance to save my soul and that of family and friends. A heartfelt Thankyou. @@dabiededoo if you were baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, then it was valid. If you are unsure of its validity, I would highly recommend speaking to a priest.

The Catholic Church is the Church of Christ because there was no other Christian Church for 1,5000 years.... only the Catholic Church existed. Do you think that Jesus would come to earth and start a Churches, which he did, but then he would say, "I'm going to start a Church but I am going to get it wrong for 1500 years until Martin Luther comes and gets it right...." That doesn't seem to make sense. From the first century we have writings of Christians celebrating the Mass, the veneration of Mary and the saints, confession, prayers for the dead and belief in Purgatory. Those devotions were totally practiced by all early Christians. What does that sound like? Yes, only the Catholic Church. God bless and prayers for you.

The hardest thing for me when I converted to Catholicism was the undoing and unlearned of Lutheranism and relearning the truth. I felt betrayed by what I had been taught from people who truly believed it was truth. I pursued the Eucharistic Lord. I found Him.

Fr Chri’s I have learned soooo much from your videos. I love listening to them and have told a couple of people about them. My husband doesn’t listen to them but while driving one day I tuned in to the one on Christmas traditions. He liked it but bc he is Ukrainian Catholic he didn’t know as much about the Roman Catholic traditions or where they originated. His Christmas isn’t even the same date as the Roman Catholic Christmas… it is January 7 like the Greek Orthodox.
Nevertheless I love all the podcasts so far but learned a lot from the Islam talk and the one on indulgences…. Something we don’t talk about much anymore but so fascinating and so helpful to know. Work through your Purgatory on earth and use your suffering to benefit yourself but the holy souls as well.

Praying my children will come back to the church and bring my grandchildren with them. This has been my prayer for years now. I know I need to trust in God's perfect timing . In the meantime I will continue to pray everyday 🙏
Now there's something that I havent wish for..... lets all keep praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet every 12nn, every 3pm, 6pm; lets all keep praying the rosary too; dnt forget to light 7 candles every chance u get when u go to church. All is possible to God if we're all consistent about this particular matter.
My grandma has prayed for me to come back to the church for 20 years. I was atheist for years and pretty anti church. I dont know what it was but i was drawn back slowly and delicately. Im now a devout catholic. I thank my grandma so much for always praying for me. I have been praying for my mother to come back too and im starting to see her slowly and delicately come back this year. Keep praying! It is worth it ❤

You were brainwashed into being a Methodist too as well as ALL other religions are cultists and brainwashed from childhood more than likely. Common sense should tell you thousands of different religions can't all be true, it's always been man that does ALL of the talking should tell you something too.
This is gold Father! I’m going to tell my father about this. My father is agnostic now. He was baptized as Catholic but my paternal family became Protestants. My maternal family Thank God especially my mother was adamant for us to be Catholics. I grew up ostracized by my paternal side of the family because we were Catholics. I never really understood why. I was never interested in joining other religions because I knew the Catholic faith is the only one true faith even when my own was dim but as grew older I became more devout. I’m really quite worried for my only son, he’s catholic but not anymore practicing being catholic…only when he was young with me in the church. However, he started having friends don’t go to church anymore like his friends. Then he got married not a catholic wife and now I have two beautiful grandchildren both are girls. The whole family is very caring and loving with in-laws… very inspiring to be with them. On the other hand I noticed they go only to church when necessary to be there like baptism, etc… how I love to teach my grandchildren to pray the rosary or praying before eating…I can’t do it because they’re not catholic … I noticed something very important missing a prayerful life … not even a crucifix inside the house. I pray that my son’s family one day be loser the BLESSED MOTHER AND GOD, OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST… but how possible is this when this new place of mine near my son’s family there’re no Catholic Churches… I attend daily masses only now on TV. I’m really so sad… as of now I just keep on praying for them, too! Hoping for anything to happen positively… i just keep on hoping!
You confirmed what I always believed about those outside the Church. God, who is a loving father, wouldn't create someone and then completely deny them the chance to get to heaven just because they never had the opportunity to learn about Him.
I also found your comment interesting about people who don't formally know God yet somehow still have a sense of His laws in their conscience. Coincidentally, I'd just come across an article entitled "Seven Moral Rules Found All Around the World" which presents, in a secular manner, the same idea. I much prefer the explanation that God put the values in people's hearts :)

Also, my mother was concerned about her brother who was a born again christian and she wanted to know if he was saved as he outside the church. Thank you for this talk Fr. Alar. My oldest daughter made the decision to leave the church some years ago which broke our hearts. It appears the devil is attacking the most faithful of families in our area as I know many who are active in the Church (Knights of Columbus, CWL, etc..) who have lost one or more children. I pray a decade daily for them - I will be sure to pray for your nephew as well. As it happens today my wife, myself and a couple of our other daughters started the 54 day Novena for our oldest's return. God bless you and the other Marian Fathers and your good works.

I’ve been listening to a lot of your talks, along with EWTN and the Catholic Answers people plus others. One thing I find is that the Catholic faith seems to operate a lot with “both and” while other faiths settle on “either or.” This may make it confusing for some people, but I’m finding it to be a great mindset when exploring more of my faith.
Classic example is Jesus being the Way, the Truth, and the Life as our great mediator. Our Protestant family takes that to mean ONLY Jesus can offer us the things we need to heaven and things like Saintly intercession have no place. But that causes them to wriggle their way out of Jesus’s commandment for us to pray for one another, leading to the classic “the dead can’t hear ya!” argument. Which ya then back up with the Transfiguration and God saying he’s the God of Life. A fun cycle that Catholics lessen with “Jesus is the Way and he’s gifted us with numerous helpers for our journey.”
Topics like heaven can be difficult to tackle, especially when we limit things to either extreme of ‘do what ya want, God will forgive ya’ to ‘follow this exactly or you’re doomed to hell!’ while offering little support. We are human, but God is who he is. We may be limited in what we can do, but God is able to do whatever he needs to help others find him without violating their free wills.
