evil dead for SURE. there’s a show about it as well but the movies are good enough. great remake and entertaining originals carrie and american psycho would be good solo movie reactions
I fricken LOVED both seasons of Scream Queens....Jaina Lee Ortiz from Station 19 came in second to Gabby West in the second season, who is in Saw 7 with Chester Bennington, and Tanedra KILLED it in both 6 and 7!
I love that John recognized that both Amanda and Hoffman had their own agendas and plotted to give them both their own respective tests when it came down to it. Even from the grave, John is still testing people. *Game Over*
There is a whole background to this film. Back in 2008, the SAW franchise was at the height of its success. It was a real cultural force and they made a tradition of making one new movie for each Halloween. Also, they organized a massive annual blood drive for the Red Cross (you should take a look at the posters for it, they were INSANE). Before Saw VI was made, they created an MTV style reality show called "Scream Queens", hosted by Shawnee Smith (who plays Amanda Young in these movies) where they tested different actresses for horror movie scenes and eventually they picked the best. The prize for the winner was to start in the opening scene of this film. The black girl you see chopping her arm off is the actual winner of the reality show. Great reaction as always! As for movies, Kill Bill is an awesome film for you to watch. But, as I said before, you should definetly react to Oculus by Mike Flanningan
32:09 Remember this request for a Norwegian doctor's experimental treatment trial. It might seem minor, because it was at first. But eventually... well, just wait.
I've just realized why I love this movie so much above most others in the franchise- it's because it's a return of 'morality'. 2, 3, 4, 5 kind of lost that theme but in 6, it tests someone's morals like never before.
Not really. Saw VI suffers from the same issue as Saw III, IV and VII imo, which is that the people who are actually trapped don't get to decide for themselves. How does that test them exactly? It doesn't and it goes completely against the principals Jigsaw set up initially. "Live or die. Make your choice. Well, unless I strap you to a carousel and make another guy choose instead. Then you don't choose." Saw VI is actually the worst offender on the list because the final trap makes it so even the guy who was actually choosing doesn't get to choose in the end. Makes zero sense in terms of John's supposed principals.
mark hoffman was actually named after greg hoffman in hour of him. he passed away back in 2005 he was a producer one saw 1 and was basically the person that was able to make saw a reality for james and leigh. and if you look at the credits for all of the saw movies he’s credited as a producer
The reason it's still John's voice in the games is because all these games were planned ahead. They would have to be, honestly, with everything that goes into them. John chose all the contestants back before he died, and prepared the recordings then.
Yes. Before Amanda failed her test in saw 3, she went to where Jeff's daughter was kept and she told Jeff's daughter not to trust the man that saves her. The little girl would have been interviewed by the police, and that's how they suspected Hoffman's involvement.
Hot take, the traps in Saw VI suck. Just like in Saw III, IV and VII, the people actually placed inside the traps have no chance of escape and are not actually being tested. They are just sacrificial pawns used to test another person, which should go completely against John's principals.
@@marklouis1890 No, she didn't. She wasn't the one who made the freezing room trap or the rack or the pig trap. John was. John out those people there with no chance of escape on their own, their only real chance of escape being Jeff. That's not fair, where was their choice? Also, maybe Amanda thought murder was ok because John literally made her murder a guy he gave a drug overdose in Saw. Where was his test Johny? Even if Amanda didn't do anything, that man was a gonner, since he was intentionally given an OD.
Easily my favorite film in the franchise since Saw 2!!! - Amazing traps from beginning to end - Great use of William’s insurance policy added to the traps -Hoffman just morphing into a great antagonist that cant be stopped - The plot overall was told really well, William definitely should have been let to live because he understand John Kramers message
The big issue i have with the Hoffman sequels is the involvement of "innocent" people to die (the janitor as big example for this).. But for this movie i can understand it.. It is part of williams test to see how flawed his policy is (and it seems to work on him, like the only person who seems to have learned something). But imagine William deciding to let the janitor live... The game would instantly end. Beside the janitor part, its my Top 3 saw movie, probably close to Saw 2 and Saw X for me
Seeing Amanda just brings my heart such joy. The actress just comes in and it fits like a glove and she was right Hoffman should have been tested way before being allowed to be on the team. He was brutal towards humans while Amanda who had lived two games saw how disgusting ppl are
Been reading the comments and I really hope you guys don't skip jigsaw or spiral. They may not be the best but the are still part of the legacy and should be watched at least once
Up until now Saw 3 was my favorite with Saw 6 as my second, but watching you guys in this video has honestly convinced me to switch them. The carousel trap is already my favorite trap in the entire franchise. Can't wait for you guys to see the rest of the films
The ‘pound of flesh trap’ in the beginning is without a doubt (probably along with the ‘Rack Trap’ from ‘Saw III’) is the most brutal, twisted, gnarly trap ever in the Saw Series. Lol if only , but they actually weren't written ahead. 1-3 was written by James Wan and Leigh Whannel(Darren Bousman co -wrote 2 ) while the Hoffman trilogy 4-7 was written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunston . They made them on a year by year basis waiting to see how the film performed at the box office before writing the next one. Although it definitely feels like they were written as one but the producers actually have a SAW "bible" with notes and stuff so loose story threads would be resolved or revealed in future films. Pretty cool! Awesone reaction as always guys🎉😊

Yes, the Hoffman trilogy was actually completely planned by the two screenwriters after Saw 3, so that so much fits together logically and builds on each other. Saw 7 was originally planned as two films, but after the moderate success of Saw 6, the studio decided to only make one final film, so the script for two films had to be rewritten and squeezed into one film somehow...
The scene in the beginning is iconic and i love that the actress got to play a character with a more realistic reaction to a torture game. I know it probably wont win the pole but watch THE BABADOOK i promise you Blakes soul will exit his body and i need to see it in a reaction.
This is definitely my favorite in the series. I actually felt bad when William died, he was trash at first but he did all that and dies anyways? I felt he learned his lesson!
See that's why this one is my least favorite, when that happened it put a really bad taste in my mouth. It was so cruel to do that and especially in front of his sister. I get the kid was hurting but he became just as bad as William, maybe even worse. I honestly wouldn't have minded if something happened to him next, lol. And I do think it's quite laughable that he apologizes to the mother and son for putting them through all that since they were innocent but didn't apologize to Allie for putting her and her daughter in danger or Jeff and Lynn's daughter in danger, Daniel who was just a teenager, lol.
Hoffman blackmailed Amanda because he wanted to get rid of her. By having her kill the doctor, he knew Jeff would instantly kill Amanda. This is not a spoiler, just a piece of important information for context: Saw 7 is the last one in the original series. The story that we began following in Saw 1 ends with 7 (or Saw 3D). And here are some recommendations for some horror standalone movies and franchises: Ready or Not You're Next Would You Rather Smile Barbarian A Nightmare on Elm Street (franchise) Insidious (franchise) Child's Play (7 movie franchise + 3 seasons of TV show) it's a long term commitment, but soooo worth it!
This film for me at the time was the last good Saw installment and then the next 3 movies were far from good until Saw X came out and exceeded my expectations. But yes in 6 I rly love the traps. Personal faves r the breathing trap and the carousel shotgun trap.
Its "mask off" because he's already dead so no need to hide. Hoffman is called Hoffman because a producer called Hoffman has been there since the start so they named the character after him. Most people who have seen one or two Saw movies thing theyre like Final Destination - episodical slasher gore movies. So many people have no idea it's one huge plot with great twists every movie. It started in 2004 and ignoring Jigsaw and Spiral, it's still going strong today. As a brit, I usually hate people cheering in the cinema but when I saw Saw X in the cinema last year, I loved nothing more than the subdued gasps and quiet cheers that went through the crowd.
I just love ya'lls reaction and every scene you're "who is that", or why is this happening" and I'm screaming the answers at my phone. 😂 Rule #1 of the Saw franchise....be patient and I promise it will all be explained. Can't wait for Saw 7.
For me this one is one of my absolute favorites. Saw 6, 4, and 2 are absolutely legendary. I do like Spiral and Saw X a lot as well, so when you get to them, i hope you enjoy them.
William Easton, perhaps unique among the protagonists we follow through the A-plot of going through the traps, truly learned the lesson John Kramer wanted to inflict upon him. The guy in the next movie sure didnt.
RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. STEPHEN KING movie adaptations HORROR (Carrie the OG, Misery, 1408, The Mist, IT, The Shining, Doctor Sleep, Gerald's Game, Thinner, Apt Pupil, Cat's Eye, Christine) DRAMA (The Shawshank Redemption, Stand by me, The Green Mile, Dolores Claiborne) 2. Guillermo del Toro movies (PAN'S LABYRINTH, The Shape of Water, Scary Stories to tell in the Dark, Crimson Peak, Hellboy) 3.Tarantino movies 4. (SciFi-ish): STARSHIP TROOPERS (because you liked Robocop), Escape from New York, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Galaxy Quest, Cube, The Fly, Donnie Darko, Demolition Man, They live, Predator, Total Recall) 5. Others: The Lighthouse, The Witch, Midsommar
I would second these: Carrie the OG, Misery, The Mist, Apt Pupil, Christine. The Shawshank Redemption, Stand by Me, STARSHIP TROOPERS, Escape from New York, Galaxy Quest, The Fly, Predator, Total Recall, Midsommar
7:02 bro is me watching anything more than mildly gory or violent 😂 Reaction channels like yours are the only reason I've been able to enjoy(?) "watching" the Saw movies and many other horror movies! Thank you guys for doing what you do ❤ your content and sacrifices are appreciated!
praying for Blake's recovery after watching this movie 🙏🏻 also not sure if most of you have watched it (probably) but would love to see you guys reaction to Mission Impossible ❤
#JusticeForHank! As terrible as William was up until the game, I feel like he was one of the few victims who actually learned his lesson. Throughout all the tests he was efficient and selfless. In the hanging one he tried as hard as he could to keep holding on to. In the steam one he would have tried to get the key out if Debbie had just stopped trying to kill him. And in the carousell one he spared as many people as he could, despite having to injure himself to do it. It would have been interesting to see if he would have gone back to his old ways or not had se survived. And finally, about Hoffman. He may be a "failed apprentice" in a similar sense to Amanda, someone who really doesn't hold true to John's ideals. However, there is one aspect John values highly that he truly does embody stronger than pretty much anyone else, maybe even John: the will to live. This guy just will _not go down!_
Great reaction! Absolutely agree with your take on this film, one of the best ones in the series if not the best. I was happy Perez was alive but hated that they were tiptoeing around Hoffman as if he wasn’t capable of shredding them. And John was very biased in choosing William for this game and despised that innocent victims were forced to play. The traps were great in this one, I’m still laughing at the jokes ‘Not as twisted as Anthony’ and Igli with the impersonation?!? Nailed it. Uuhh Saw 3D next….. good luck and will definitely tune in for it.
This was so nice to watch after a long day of stress and studying, seriously thank you so much! This is definitely my favourite franchise that you guys have e reacted to and i’m glad you guys like it too and hopefully yall will be satisfied when you reach the end of the franchise which is saw X.
you guys should watch the insidious franchise next. james wan directed the first two, and he directed the first saw and leigh whannell plays specs and writes the first 4 and directed the third, and he played adam and wrote the first saw.
I will say this, when we went to see this movie in theaters, NEVER had I ever heard such a collective scream from the crowd in a horror movie than when we saw Hoffman escape The Reverse Bear Trap... For 2 reasons: 1, we were all waiting to see FINALLY how the Reverse Bear Trap worked and 2, we were all SHOCKED to see Hoffman still survive. After we saw that Hoffman was the reason Amanda actually failed her test, we all felt cheated and thus the fandom began their anger towards Hoffman.
Hoffman did a shitty thing with the blackmail but I’m more angry with Amanda due to the fact that she’s literally the reason why all of this shit happened in the first place. And for what? Just get her fucking fix because she was a junkie. Even Cecil didn’t wanna do it and straight toward Amanda to her face that Jill was nothing but good to them and tried to help. Amanda didn’t wanna hear it. That’s who people should be mad at, not Hoffman. I do get annoyed how everyone always let Amanda get off the hook for her fuckery.
@@ohirieuphemia9646 oh thank you lol. But in all seriousness, I think it’s BS how people always get mad at Hoffman for blackmailing but never seem to be mad at Amanda for her role in turning John into Jigsaw. Can’t stand the double standards.
As a bit of non-spoilery trivia for the next film, after Saw 6 failed in the box office - they were only allowed to make one final film, so the plans for Saw 7 and Saw 8 (which was going to be the end) got combined into a single film. Also, Kevin wasn't meant to direct Saw 7. David Hackl (Saw 5) was meant to direct and Kevin was meant to direct Paranormal Activity 2 - but a month before Saw 7 filming started, Hackl was dismissed and Kevin was forced into Saw 7 via "a contractual clause".
you guys are already so much fun to watch, but then the editing of like the alien vs predator, "everything reminds me of hank" dramatic zoom, just so many hilarious quotes and all these edits are so fkn funny 😂 6 is also pretty high on my list for the franchise 🥳
So happy to see others love the 6th movie just as much as I do! People say it’s a fan favorite but everyone I’ve talked to or asked they don’t seem to like this one and I don’t understand why! This and saw 3 are my two favorite saw movies with 10 (or X) coming in at a close 2nd
Shoutout to the boys, especially the editor of this video (Corey?). I posted the sexual tension comment Blake mentions in his post movie discussion just 6 days ago and you guys have already coordinated a time, watched this entire movie, and edited the reaction since then. While you all have full time jobs too. Massive kudos!
Thank you. For movies, since they take so long to edit, we split them into parts. So Blake, Igli and I edited this movie together. And I was the one who did the zoom in on Blake when he said that -Corey
This one, 2, and X are my favorite saw films. This one is visually great, has awesome flash back scenes as usual, and John's motive here was excellent. Saw is just something special. People dismiss it as torture p*rn but the story is wild and intricate. I had a friend who hates horror movies, and watched this entire series just for the plot. I also really really appreciate that this series has no gratuitous sex scenes or nudity like some older horror movies. Everything on screen happens for a reason to drive the plot. Fun fact: iirc, when John is in Williams office and says "Piranah", it was just Tobin Bell going off script, and they left it in. Love it. It's so weird.
42:52 and the carousel the way the people are lined up looks like a revolver chamber and can you can see the Russian roulette with the blank areas in the carousel
This was a good one guys. Yeah, the janitor and the secretary were needless lives taken. But overall, good games. The beginning of this one when you cut to Blake just being tortured by watching people hack off body parts and fat. Then cut to him saying, "I think this is my favorite one." 😂😂😂 Worth the wait. Can't wait to see the next reaction. Kudos, guys. 🤘❤️😊
Hell yeah. You guys are almost finished with the series already. Putting in that work man! But yes, 6 is quite the fan favorite. Including mine. It’s in my top 5 actually. Everything was great. Loved the traps in this one. Each was unique and fun to look at. I honestly don’t have a favorite since they’re all so cool. Also liked the story in this one with an interesting message politics and how the state of our healthcare in America is a joke as John himself points to William. We really do have it ass backwards in that department lol. I also find it rather interesting that while people, myself included, HATED William at first. But the more he was being tested, the more we kind of started to like him to a certain extent and actually root for him to succeed, unlike say… Eric, Jeff or Rigg. Also keep in that William was the only protagonist up until this point has saved the most people in their respective film. No one had done it before of since then. I respect him for that alone! But I’d have to say, most of the people in William’s test didn’t actually deserve to be tested, other than maybe the people in the carousel room. But I understand why it had to happen that way. Plus, the last 15 minutes was just… wow! The twists in that one was sublime.

Evil Dead franchise after Saw, you'll enjoy it (and be scared).
GROOVY 💯 😎
Can't wait to see their reaction to the carousel trap. 😄😄😄
I just love ya'lls reaction and every scene you're "who is that", or why is this happening" and I'm screaming the answers at my phone. 😂
Rule #1 of the Saw franchise....be patient and I promise it will all be explained.
Can't wait for Saw 7.
saw 7 on the way can't wait looking forward to it guys
Bro's crime was High blood presssure LMAOOOOO
For me this one is one of my absolute favorites. Saw 6, 4, and 2 are absolutely legendary. I do like Spiral and Saw X a lot as well, so when you get to them, i hope you enjoy them.
I wish we could watch Saw 7 right now! Great reaction guys!
William Easton, perhaps unique among the protagonists we follow through the A-plot of going through the traps, truly learned the lesson John Kramer wanted to inflict upon him. The guy in the next movie sure didnt.
8:35 “THIS SHIT AINT NOTHING TO ME MAN”
this is my favorite one!! so glad you guys liked it too! can't wait to see more!
This movie's ending may or may not just be one of my favourites in the whole series
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. STEPHEN KING movie adaptations
HORROR (Carrie the OG, Misery, 1408, The Mist, IT, The Shining, Doctor Sleep, Gerald's Game, Thinner, Apt Pupil, Cat's Eye, Christine)
DRAMA (The Shawshank Redemption, Stand by me, The Green Mile, Dolores Claiborne)
2. Guillermo del Toro movies (PAN'S LABYRINTH, The Shape of Water, Scary Stories to tell in the Dark, Crimson Peak, Hellboy)
3.Tarantino movies
4. (SciFi-ish): STARSHIP TROOPERS (because you liked Robocop), Escape from New York, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Galaxy Quest, Cube, The Fly, Donnie Darko, Demolition Man, They live, Predator, Total Recall)
7:02 bro is me watching anything more than mildly gory or violent 😂
Reaction channels like yours are the only reason I've been able to enjoy(?) "watching" the Saw movies and many other horror movies!
Thank you guys for doing what you do ❤ your content and sacrifices are appreciated!
this ending might be my favorite..
and at least hoffman doesn't pretend to stand on high moral ground, unlike john and amanda
So happy you guys are still
Doing this series! And I couldn’t agree more saw X is … so SO good
praying for Blake's recovery after watching this movie 🙏🏻
also not sure if most of you have watched it (probably) but would love to see you guys reaction to Mission Impossible ❤
love love love all the traps in this one
One of my favourites in the saw franchise it all ties back together
seeing rodrick from diary of a wimpy kid in a saw trap feels like a fever dream
Great reaction! Absolutely agree with your take on this film, one of the best ones in the series if not the best. I was happy Perez was alive but hated that they were tiptoeing around Hoffman as if he wasn’t capable of shredding them. And John was very biased in choosing William for this game and despised that innocent victims were forced to play. The traps were great in this one, I’m still laughing at the jokes ‘Not as twisted as Anthony’ and Igli with the impersonation?!? Nailed it.
Uuhh Saw 3D next….. good luck and will definitely tune in for it.
Classic movie with kills and traps - favourite being the Shotgun Carousel
Hoffman, love or hate him, but he is a UNIT!
So happy you keep em comin - and yes, with Saw 1, X is my Fav.
You will have an incredible Time
Totally forgot it was SAW Saturday. This was a nice surprise.
I been waiting for this lol always a good time having ya'll on my TV screen.
And another great reaction video from ya'll as well.
This was so nice to watch after a long day of stress and studying, seriously thank you so much! This is definitely my favourite franchise that you guys have e
reacted to and i’m glad you guys like it too and hopefully yall will be satisfied when you reach the end of the franchise which is saw X.
"Hank migth be the jigsaw apprentice" got me
you guys should watch the insidious franchise next. james wan directed the first two, and he directed the first saw and leigh whannell plays specs and writes the first 4 and directed the third, and he played adam and wrote the first saw.
@rodgill9376 you just said everything I wanted to say 😅
SAW X IS A BANGER
Bond, James Bond...
The full 007 saga has a record breaking number of films.
Nightmare on elm street
Or maybe even Child’s play.
Bout the same amount of films
Franchise Ranking Up To Now:
1. Saw II (4.5/5)
2. Saw III (4.5/5)
3. Saw (4/5)
4. Saw VI (3.5/5)
5. Saw IV (3.5/5)
6. Saw V (3/5)
Should definitely watch The Collector and The Collection ! They re amazing ❤❤❤❤❤
Good yer there brilliant, plus there like saw.
So happy to see others love the 6th movie just as much as I do! People say it’s a fan favorite but everyone I’ve talked to or asked they don’t seem to like this one and I don’t understand why! This and saw 3 are my two favorite saw movies with 10 (or X) coming in at a close 2nd
7th Saw movie is my favorite!! cant wait for you guys to react to it!
This one and 10 are my absolute favourites. 😂
Cant wait the 3d one. 😳😳😳
Prison Break
"EVIL DEAD'', “Paranormal Activity” & “The Purge” would be awesome
One of the better saw movies
42:52 and the carousel the way the people are lined up looks like a revolver chamber and can you can see the Russian roulette with the blank areas in the carousel
At least Hoffman is not a hypocrite he says I want him to suffer admits who he is as a person Jigsaw and Amanda try to justify what they do.
This might be the best one out of the franchise and my favorite one imo. Let's fuckin GOOOO!!!
This movie def showed that John was a delusional hypocrite
