The AI voice makes sense when you start to think about it - the voice is part of what caused things to really spiral out of control for Hoffman in previous films. So by never using your own voice with filters, you remove the risk of them figuring out who you are by removing the filters.

They didn’t want to use jigsaws voice for this movie because he’s not In it and he’s been dead for over a decade at this point (so it wouldn’t of made sense to use his voice) Saw X is also written by the same people that wrote this movie. i think they meant to be intentionally vague about the places Saw movies were supposed to be set in. At the back of my mind, i kinda just assumed they were happening in Chicago (i dont know why) but i couldn't find any confirmation of that. And why would they name their PD a very generic "Metro PD" lest they really just meant to make the setting unidentifiable?
The returning director of this movie very much hates the Saw franchise. In an interview he said “What brought me back? Samuel L Jackson and Chris Rock. That’s it.” And he gave the middle finger to fans a couple of times in the movie. With stuff like at the end. Where Chris Rock wakes up having a saw next to him and then he finds a generic limpdick pin to pick the lock instead. He really has no love for the franchise and it shows
Даррен Боусман бездарь, и Пилы 2, 3 и 4 получились у него только из-за контроля продюсерами, и как только этого контроля не стало - Пила: спираль не очень удалась. Всё равно, я люблю этот фильм.
@@minrinstanis If I remember Saw 2 was originally Darren Lynn Bousman's own original script that was reworked into a Saw movie. Based on his dislike of the franchise, I doubt he was a fan of that happening
Lol I love it. The Saw series sucks and this shows police officers being tortured and killed, which just isn't done enough in movies and TV. This is actually one of my favorite horror films, it's just so full of hatred lmao.
This is very much a Chris Rock film. He went to Lionsgate with the idea of a spinoff and I'm pretty sure he has a writing credit on it. DLB was honest, at least, that he only came back for the chance to work with Rock and Jackson. I don't think he had much creative input.
You should definitely react to Hostel and Hostel 2, I can´t believe it´s losing the poll :( They are soooo good, please don´t forget them! Greetings from Brazil!
Кстати, фабрика мыла, то есть финальная локация из этого фильма - это та же самая локация, где в Пиле 8 Эдгар Мансэн прибежал за пультом и был подстрелен Логаном из снайперской винтовки.
I actually liked this film more than the previous one, mainly because they focused more on the investigation part than just on mega-elaborate Traps, and for trying to be different from the standard of the saga.
I think it gets seen as the same thing as in the main Saw franchise (which it isn't, Hoffman/Amanda etc had a connection with John, whereas Shanks doesn't he just liked the philosophy he knew of) instead of what it should be seen as, which is a story from Saw's connected universe in which someone took the Saw philosophy. I like that they tried to do something different something new and I genuinely like that it's a different feel to the main franchise.
Finally! This reaction came out. So, now, remember the guys. Saw X has an awesome post-credits scene. Don't miss it in any way.👍 Personally, I like Saw: spiral (In Russia, it's called Saw: spiral). It's a great movie that tells its story, and the imitator turned out great. I'll be waiting for his return in the future.
This movie's story is meh. But it's the acting for that really wrecked this entirely. I just couldn't take anything seriously when the acting (especially the main character) is shit.
Franchise Ranking Up To Now: 1. Saw II (4.5/5) 2. Saw III (4.5/5) 3. Saw (4/5) 4. Saw VI (3.5/5) 5. Saw IV (3.5/5) 6. Saw 3D: (3.5/5) 7. Saw V (3/5) 8. Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2.5/5) (Most predictable twist ever!) 9. Jigsaw (1/5) Can’t wait to see your guys’ reaction for Saw X
At the time of it's announcement the Saw community was excited. When it was released most were disappointed. I enjoyed it. Its definitely one of the weaker ones in the franchise. Saw X is definitely the strongest out of all the sequels. Hell in my opinion is the best film of the franchise. Can't wait to see your guy's reactions
Saw X is not my favorite, like it is for so many fans, but it's definitely a return to form for the franchise. This is not a spoiler but a piece of information that's important before going into Saw X: the events in Saw X take place between Saw 1 and 2. That doesn't really change anything in the movie at all, but just so you guys know where to put it in the timeline.
Never managed to finish this Movie actually, I m a Day 1 Saw Fan and this is the only Time I finished it. The Reaction was fire, the Movie was colder than Mr Freeze.
The twist and it not feeling like a saw movie are the two main reasons I hear from people not liking this. The voice is another. This is 6 on my list. Potential is there, this would've been better as a standalone or even a spinoff.
I think this movie would have been so much better if it wasn't a saw film. As a story about a serial bad-cop killer, this is actually pretty great. Take out the saw elements and replace them with something unique, and you've got a kick-ass movie! But putting in the games and calling it a Saw film is just an insult to the whole franchise.
The question of the hour which was is worse? Saw III with Jeff the clown or JigSaw? Personally Saw III is the lowest for me. They could have kept John and Amanda alive longer in future installments. Great reaction as always!
I hope soon after watching Spiral horror movie 🍿 that you get to Saw X horror movie 🎦 which was excellent on going back to John Kramer’s origin as Tobin Bell 🔔 and than Saw X1 is in the works!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
lol love seeing these reactions!! Always entertaining 😂❤ Edit: also when saw X came out September 29 or whenever it came out. I saw it with my friend, then I saw it again the next week then a few days later. So in total I saw it three times in theaters then I bought the movie 😂😅
I think what hurt this movie the most, was making more of it about the cop drama. Most of Saw I-VII had cop drama too mind you, but we were killing off the cops throughout all those movies too. We only really focused on one or two cops during each movie, if even that. Detective Eric Matthews was cool, and we saw parts of his story over movies II-IV. He was corrupt, sure, but not the whole department. Cops & Detectives in Saw usually get in too deep trying to untangle the mystery of Jigsaw’s games before they’re killed. And in previous entries, they weren’t our only kills, unlike in Spiral where every target was from that department, so, BIG surprise when the reveal is that it’s just one of their own trying to clean up the department.
Def. Agree with Jigsaw's ending saving that movie. I heard before seeing Spiral, negative things about it,but I also seen others agreeing with the overall story and movie being decent. If anything kind of was surprised to have at least enjoy it
Not defending this movie too much, I'm basically in the same boat as you guys (not great movie but not awful either. won't rewatch) but the AI voice makes perfect sense to me and does not bother me. I think a killer would do exactly that today
Whats funny about the timeline twist in the last one is all those events were supposed to take place before Saw 1, yet the instruction video’s in the barn were given on flat screen HD TV’s and John somehow gave the puppet glowing eyes. Keep in mind this is all happening pre 2004…
As bas as this movie was, it could have done a great ending. Banks could have accepted William's offer, setting up sequels of two new Jigsaws, both in law enforcement and has vendetta against dirty cops.
What I’ve noticed is that people that don’t really care for the Saw Franchise really enjoy this movie And people that consider themselves huge or hardcore fans of the Saw movies really dislike Spiral! And as a huge saw fan, this is easily the worst one for me, the only redeeming part is they didn’t use Saw for the title!
Here's wut I'll say. Spiral could've been a lot worse and despite some weak points like the voice for this "copycat" and the non-surprising twist towards the end, I think it's a sub par film. Decent story with hit and miss acting and traps. The finger trap tho is one of my favorites it makes me squirm every time. I did give this film 1½ stars on Letterboxd.
I'm sorry, gentleman. But this movie had almost nothing to do with the SAW trilogy. Except for the pig mask and a picture of John Kramer. As for the traps, I like them. 9 DOWN 1 TO GO. Can't wait for X. We'll see which one of you can figure it out.
Blake: I want to pretend jigsaw didn’t happen Me 🤝Blake I thought the whole “what’s the value of a human life” question for the game was so poetic! And the woman even realized the answer! AND THEN DIDNT CHOOSE THE SYRINGE with the obvious answer on it, even though she seemed to have figured it out??? Ruined the scene for me. The traps were not memorable (a fricken grain silo? I dunno, felt lazy at this stage in the game for saw) the weird spinning blade spiral motorcycle trap is memorable but not because it’s good, it’s because it looks wayyyyyyyy too clean for a saw trap. It was such a weird choice. Anyway. I could rag on Jigsaw all day. Didn’t like Logan (he felt very shoe horned in just to have an insert into the main story line) or any of the other characters either. I was super disappointed when I saw it in theatres.
🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓 dump, sorry lol. I am looking forward to Saw X reaction This was Chris rock's idea, he just so happened to meet the producers at a mutual friends wedding and happened to be a huge saw fan. It was meant to release in 2019, then got delayed to 202, then the BIG VIRUS happened and now it's 2021. This movie was intended to be a soft reboot so fresh people could get into the story without watching the 8 other ones, which explains why there's a lot less saw-isms. Unfortunately fans didn't like it that much so Saw X went back inbetween 1 and 2. ------ I felt like they didn't want to get too crazy with the story in this one because this is one of the first ones with BIG big names attached to it: Chris Rock, Sam Jackson, 21 Savage, etc. It hurt the movie imo because it was a very generic cop story with an obvious twist villian. Probably my 2nd least favorite one :p Also the tongue one is impossible to survive too. People who loose their tongue at a certain point will bleed out/choke because there's a major artery in it th-cam.com/video/BBssNl6nY_M/w-d-xo.html Also here's a video Chris Ramsey made going over how it was behind the scenes lol
I don’t know what’s worse, the god awful jigsaw voice, or the fact Chris Rock thought making Saw a comedy was a good idea. Both are equally as bad.🤦🏻♂️
@@salarzx62090 nah, imo this the the worst one easily. Like they said, it don’t even feel like saw movie lol. The final 3 movies got worse and worse and are the bottom 3 imo. Sprial the worst, Jigsaw 2nd worst, and Saw 7 (3D) is 3rd worst. Thank God Saw 10 saved it cause they were going down hill every new release imo lol
@@_TYE_ Nah, Jigsaw is the worst one. Jigsaw is just poor fanfiction. This is a Spinoff. Of course, it's not going to feel like a Saw movie. But at least this one doesn't royally screw up the timeline or ruin John's character, unlike Jigsaw. So, yeah. Jigsaw is so much worse than Spiral imo
@@salarzx62090 As Blake said, I’d rewatch Jigsaw, I wouldn’t rewatch this. But it is subjective lol, I respect your opinion but the fact I won’t ever rewatch this fully on my own time makes it the worst one to me. And I assume you wouldn’t rewatch Jigsaw fully either lol😂
@@_TYE_ I wouldn't rewatch Jigsaw at all and would watch Spiral any day over Jigsaw so you're right about that 😂 To me, Jigsaw is the worst one. By far
I didn’t think Jigsaw was too bad, it’s certainly better than this film though. If this were an independent/standalone film and not a saw movie, it would be a bit better. They basically took all the good parts of saw right out of the movie and they also purposefully tried to make it funny. The one merit of this film is I like the idea behind who’s being put in the traps with the corrupt cops.
You all should check out New Jack City (1991), it's the first time I saw Chris Rock in a movie playing a junkie called Pooky. Movie was popular and also starred Ice T and Wesley Snipes, who plays Nino Brown, the main drug lord.

@@phaethonprime6427 huh? What does that have to do with him crapping on the other guys? This is a trash movie anyway so you can get on with that.

They didn’t want to use jigsaws voice for this movie because he’s not In it and he’s been dead for over a decade at this point (so it wouldn’t of made sense to use his voice)
Saw X is also written by the same people that wrote this movie. So I don’t think they’re bad writers just too much Chris rock changing stuff. (He has a credit as a producer as well)
"We don't talk about Bruno" but it's "we don't talk about Spiral" in the Saw community 💀

1, 11, 18, & 19 are my favorites from this list
I need to see them react to House of Wax!! that’s my all time fav horror movie
i think they meant to be intentionally vague about the places Saw movies were supposed to be set in.
Всё равно, я люблю этот фильм.
its ok in the context of the movie
Bro Blake wanted nothing to do with this movie and I don’t blame him one bit lol. He wasn’t looking at the screen at all 😂
pig and barbed wire in the first five minutes 🤌🏼😂 and then it was all downhill from there
You should definitely react to Hostel and Hostel 2, I can´t believe it´s losing the poll :( They are soooo good, please don´t forget them!
Don't miss it in any way.👍
Personally, I like Saw: spiral (In Russia, it's called Saw: spiral). It's a great movie that tells its story, and the imitator turned out great. I'll be waiting for his return in the future.
Stop drinking the Ethanol that you call Vodka, this Movie is a Shitshow
This movie's story is meh. But it's the acting for that really wrecked this entirely. I just couldn't take anything seriously when the acting (especially the main character) is shit.

This movie was basically Saw without the "Saw" lol
At the time of it's announcement the Saw community was excited. When it was released most were disappointed. I enjoyed it. Its definitely one of the weaker ones in the franchise. Saw X is definitely the strongest out of all the sequels. Hell in my opinion is the best film of the franchise. Can't wait to see your guy's reactions
still gonna watch it tho cause I love you guys and wanna see y’all reactions
Saw X is not my favorite, like it is for so many fans, but it's definitely a return to form for the franchise. This is not a spoiler but a piece of information that's important before going into Saw X: the events in Saw X take place between Saw 1 and 2. That doesn't really change anything in the movie at all, but just so you guys know where to put it in the timeline.
Love the closing shot of William giving Chris Rock the shh 🤫, Just like Chris Rock gave young kid William the shh 🤫 after his dad was murdered
I hate the fact that Saw X counts this as an actual sequel. This was a spin-off and Saw X should have been Saw IX!

Saw X is like the best saw film even better than the franchise
Clean haircut, Cojo!
Finally watching this one. So excited for 10!
If you think Jigsaw was bad... This one takes the cake hahahaha
Nah, Jigsaw is so much worse
Always entertaining 😂❤
Edit: also when saw X came out September 29 or whenever it came out.
If anything kind of was surprised to have at least enjoy it
Haven't seen all the Saw movies but I still enjoy watching you guys 🎉 Cojo is looking good 😎
Not defending this movie too much, I'm basically in the same boat as you guys (not great movie but not awful either. won't rewatch) but the AI voice makes perfect sense to me and does not bother me. I think a killer would do exactly that today
I agree.
Haha 15 minutes into the reaction I realised that I haven't even seen this movie. And now I don't even have to. Awesome. 😁
Whats funny about the timeline twist in the last one is all those events were supposed to take place before Saw 1, yet the instruction video’s in the barn were given on flat screen HD TV’s and John somehow gave the puppet glowing eyes.
Keep in mind this is all happening pre 2004…
Игра на ферме происходит в 2005 году.
Which is one of the many reasons why Jigsaw is so much worse than Spiral
Samuel L Jackson is the best (and possibly only) part of the movie. Imagine if it was Chris Rock and him teaming up. I would watch that.
So excited for your Saw X reaction! and please make sure to watch the post-credits scene too 💚🪚
I saw your reaction a few days ago, where did the reaction video go for Saw X????
Unfortunately it got blocked in several countries
Love saw with the lads ❤️❤️🔥🔥
Video suggestion: X, Pearl, Maxxxine
@Raggedy Pack this one definitely isn’t the main ingredient Saw I - VII, but look at e bright side Chris Rock, & Samuel L. Jackson was funny.
Someone's getting PIGNAPPED!
Jeff definitely could’ve been the chief of the PD
The ending is the only reason to watch this movie imo.
But YAYAYAYAY!! SAW X IS NEXT!!!
Have you guys seen The Others with Nicole Kidman. So good! Signs with Mel Gibson is also very good. Sometimes, quiet and slow movies are my vibe 😅
As bas as this movie was, it could have done a great ending. Banks could have accepted William's offer, setting up sequels of two new Jigsaws, both in law enforcement and has vendetta against dirty cops.
This one is really good. I swear the haters hate on it cause jigsaw isn't in it. He died, get over it.
What I’ve noticed is that people that don’t really care for the Saw Franchise really enjoy this movie
And people that consider themselves huge or hardcore fans of the Saw movies really dislike Spiral!
And as a huge saw fan, this is easily the worst one for me, the only redeeming part is they didn’t use Saw for the title!
Вообще-то, «Пила» есть в названии фильма.
I still think Jigsaw is worse
Good thing im drunk for this 😂
Here's wut I'll say.
56:00 Blake is not impressed
WE ALWAYS GOTTA FLUFF THE BIT!!!! spiral was interesting...i'm so excited to saw x though!!!!!
If you purchase the special edition at the end will smith comes running in and smacks the shit out of chris rock
It’s Saw X night tonight, right?
I'm sorry, gentleman. But this movie had almost nothing to do with the SAW trilogy. Except for the pig mask and a picture of John Kramer. As for the traps, I like them. 9 DOWN 1 TO GO. Can't wait for X. We'll see which one of you can figure it out.
Genuine question: do blake and igli have beef? Cuz they sometimes act like they hate each other
Saw X…can’t wait👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😎
Corey is so hot . He is my favored RP member
Blake: I want to pretend jigsaw didn’t happen
Me 🤝Blake
I thought the whole “what’s the value of a human life” question for the game was so poetic!
I am looking forward to Saw X reaction
This was Chris rock's idea, he just so happened to meet the producers at a mutual friends wedding and happened to be a huge saw fan.
------
I felt like they didn't want to get too crazy with the story in this one because this is one of the first ones with BIG big names attached to it: Chris Rock, Sam Jackson, 21 Savage, etc. It hurt the movie imo because it was a very generic cop story with an obvious twist villian. Probably my 2nd least favorite one :p
Also the tongue one is impossible to survive too. People who loose their tongue at a certain point will bleed out/choke because there's a major artery in it
th-cam.com/video/BBssNl6nY_M/w-d-xo.html Also here's a video Chris Ramsey made going over how it was behind the scenes lol
Yes insidious is Winning i can’t wait to watch Blake’s soul leave his body.
Especially that one scene that scares everybody 😅
I'm surprised it hasn't already lol
I don’t know what’s worse, the god awful jigsaw voice, or the fact Chris Rock thought making Saw a comedy was a good idea. Both are equally as bad.🤦🏻♂️
Meh, still better than Jigsaw
Disagree. Spiral is better than Jigsaw. Jigsaw is worse
Kinda off topic but I would like to see your reaction to The Wire. Legendary show.
Yes finally it's time for saw X and it blows this and jigsaw out of the water one love ✌️ & ❤️
You all should check out New Jack City (1991), it's the first time I saw Chris Rock in a movie playing a junkie called Pooky. Movie was popular and also starred Ice T and Wesley Snipes, who plays Nino Brown, the main drug lord.
