Fun fact. Chester was a big Saw fan. He asked for a part big or small. Live or die. He just wanted a part in a Saw movie. He was suppose to have a bigger role though. R.I.P Chester you are still missed and still loved
A very subtle hint that Gordon has been an apprentice this whole time is in "Saw 3". Not only does John have hospital equipment, when Dr Lynn tells Amanda what she needs to operate on him, Amanda is confident that she can get what she needs. She crying and yelling, "Anesthetics! What else?!"
@dodo8339able yeah... but looking back at this film, it makes you wonder how John aquired all the equipment and why Amanda was confident in getting what he needed.
John's mistake was to give Jill the responsibility to kill Hoffman, it had to be done by Gordon. Poor Jill, she lost her baby, she didn't deserve to die.
Good call but I want to point out a scene in Saw 2. In the opening scene with the death mask, the victim is shown his surgery video. If you watch closely, the operator has a slight limp when he moves closer to insert the key.
I don't think she was supposed to kill him, she was supposed to test him. Or maybe Gordon was the one to do it but since Jill had the envelopes and plans, she's took it upon herself to get revenge on him. Bc Hoffman is the reason Amanda killed the doctor, and for Jeff to kill John. she involved herself more than she was supposed to and ended up dead.
It never gets any easier watching the Brazen Bull trap at the end without a negative reaction. Joyce was completely innocent and never knew her husband’s lies, and she just gets put in a horrific trap because she believed and supported him. And the fact that Bobby was *that close* to saving her makes her death worse for me imo
Before trying to connect the wires at the top, Bobby should have wrapped one of the hanging chains around his leg/foot to create a step on a ladder. That would have taken a majority of his weight and given him stability to connecting the wires..
@@ohshetz8478 Before he died, John planned/set the traps and chose the victims himself. This has nothing to do with Hoffman. he was just helping John set traps and kidnap victims. the ideas are not his
In "Saw V," Hoffman receives the note in his office that says, "I know who you are." That was revealed to be sent by Dr. Gordon. That makes me think even more that Gordon either captured Strahm and stuck him in the water trap, or he snuck a pen in his pocket when Hoffman left. Gordon gave him an opportunity to survive. Hoffman just wanted to kill him. That's why Hoffman was surprised to know Strahm was alive. He never gave him a pen.
Chester was actually a HUGE Saw fan. And he really wanted to be killed in a Saw trap. Luckily his Linkin Park bandmate Mike Shinoda happened to live next door to one of the producers, so they brought him in and he got to have that dream come true. Another fun fact: Chester had to get his entire torso covered in FAKE tattoos because the artists has the rights to his real tattoos and needed covered up!
Jill’s death is tied with Strahm for me for some of the most gruesome deaths. I mean, with how her posture remained straight up for a couple seconds, it’s evident that she was still alive for a few seconds even after the trap went off…in that state…what a horrific way to go out, and at the hands of a mechanism her late ex-husband made.
Blake has really come a long way enduring these movies. He still flinches but he's less affected by the gruesome scenes. Proud of him. He was also onto Hoffman hiding in the body bags
No wonder she's familiar, too. I've been thinking which movie I saw her because I know I saw her in a movie, just can't figure out which but now I know 😆@@WatermelonIsBetterThanRice
That's what was originally planned. Because they weren't revealed in the film, it remains a secret in the film canon and if they ever make a sequel to Saw 7, perhaps with Gordon, hopefully they'll think of something better, because the two random guys at the beginning of the film as helpers are a bit lame.
This is one of the lesser sequels. However, the hype leading to its premiere was INSANE. People were really anticipating it and it became a cultural phenomenom. I believe it failed because they wanted to make two simultaneous movies as a finale (7 and 8) but the studio didn't let them, so they mushed both storyline ideas into a single film with not so great results. It still has its good moments. And the backwards baseball cap to show Jigsaw as his younger self has become a hilarious meme ever since.
This is one of those movies that sounded great on paper, but was poorly executed. A story of a guy who lied for clout and exploited these victim's stories and trauma for money could have been such a good addition to this franchise.
I think the part that gets me the most is that Joyce was so innocent and sweet, I feel like she would've forgiven Bobby for her death and would want him to find a way to live his life. But Bobby will probably be broken forever from this. Alive, but broken for many decades- in a way still getting his "punishment". It's kinda like when Daryl punched Negan. Negan didn't punish him by killing *him*, but he still punished him.
Fun fact: All scenes in the bathroom from Saw III onwards (not including reused footage from the OG movie), are actually the Scary Movie set after they parodied the first Saw movie. They no longer had the set from the first one so they used the Scary Movie set.
Blake went from having to cover his eyes at the phone ringing in Scream to barely squinting watching a man's arms and jaw ripped off, a woman's face sanded off and a man's skin get ripped off his back in this film.
The I.A. detective who did a crappy job protecting Jill, he's played by the actor from the first Final Destination film where he played Todd - the kid that got strung up in the bathtub.
Apparently in the initial script, Chester (RIP!) was going to survive but due to the bands touring schedule, they opted to kill him instead. Love your videos!!
RIP Joyce, you did not deserve to be punished because Bobby is an idiot. I gotta say, I really appreciate that you guys don’t get hung up on John’s “rules”. Some reactors Ive watched get all upset because a game doesn’t follow certain criteria. Like “what is this, John doesn’t kill people, that person is innocent”…. I’m like… Did you watch the first movie??? He had Dr Gordon’s family in the game! It drives me crazy when reactors get so wrapped up in all of John’s trap criteria, to the point where they start missing stuff in the movie. John is not a perfect person! Yes he has self proclaimed “morals” but he doesn’t always follow them. He’s a flawed and tragic character. He takes L after L after L after L and does all this stuff to “better others”, but everyone he loves still dies… That aside, John is an excellent character. He’s complex and calculating. Caring in his own twisted way and Tobin Bell is so passionate about that role. It really shows.
Literally everyone I knew, predicted Bobby lying about his trap and surviving because of one key detail. Everyone has a flashback to their trap- But him. It's a staple of SAW. Dude was a idiot too. He knows there's a psycho testing people and killing them for the petties reasons. Yet Bobby didn't once think lying about a SAW trap might just get him into trouble. Cuz remember, John was only outed as Jigsaw and reported dead a few months ago. Bobby has been selling this story for a LONG time. His game, is past due
the only portion of this movie i pretend is different: i would do literally anything for joyce. as far as i understand, the most pure and sweet human, she does not deserve the absolutely excruciating fate she suffers, it pains me to this day every time i think of it 😭
Saw 7 was originally planned as two films. At the end of the seventh part, Gordon's reveal would have been the twist and thus the prelude to the final eighth part, which would have been a kind of Gordon vs. Hoffmann film. Because Saw 6 was rather disappointing at the box office for the studio, the studio decided to make one final film for the time being, so the writers had to rewrite everything and somehow squeeze it into one film. And that was only a few weeks before filming started. That's why Saw 7 seems so overloaded and rushed and the story is written in a somewhat contrived way. As a result, Gordon is shown so early in the film and appears in the middle of the film. Actually, Gordon's big presence and explanations were planned for the eighth part and his appearance would have been the twist at the end of part seven, but because they only had one part left, they decided to have Gordon appear a little earlier so that he wasn't completely wasted and also had some screen time.
17:25 Season 1 winner of Scream Queens got an epic prize. The winner of Season 2... was just crushed under the car tire in the previous scene. So... not quite as good a prize 😂

From what I've seen. Chester was actually alive and was at a hospital talking about what happened. But during the bands tour of a thousand sun's album he couldn't do it So it was scraped. Love the reaction from the bros ❤️❤️🔥🔥
A good single entry horror that I highly recommend is The Taking of Deborah Logan. Jill Larson gives a performance worthy of an Academy Award. Some other single entries Talk to Me, When Evil Lurks, You're Next, and House on Haunted Hill (1959).
so here's a interesting fact (and maybe a theory) Dr Gordon sent the tape to Hoffman when John died saying "I know who you are." That letter triggered Hoffman to get paranoid and go after Jill, resulting in Jill trying to kill him and flee to the IA officers. so did Dr Gordon send that note on purpose, predicting Hoffman would do all that and give him a reason to then kill Hoffman? John himself did say to Hoffman "if you're good at anticipating the human mind, it leaves nothing to chance" and was very much into predicting people before becoming Jigsaw (see him and the insurance guy discussing this as a shared passion).
Love you guys ♥ (as aways) also I really love the fact you recognized Chester Bennington. You have no idea how many other reactions to this movie annoyed me with Noone picking up on that.
That hook trap and the chopping off the arm at the opening of 6 are the only two moments in the entire franchise I always have to look away. So gut churning (literally lol) This was the end of the original saga, they released each movie every October from 2004 to 2010, absolutely insane! Can't wait for the next series, guys. I hope it's one of my favorites I voted for, but either way I'll be here watching along with yall. Thanks for another one!
I’ve made it 7 movies deep now with y’all and I absolutely love that y’all sometimes call the twists so early on but then proceed to second guess yourselves. It’s a beautiful experience to witness 😂
i gotta admit as well... when he was pulling his teeth i expected him to try to free his girl but then it electrifies... and jigsaw pops up and says "I never said YOU had to remove YOUR teeth... you now have 90 seconds to remove hers..." that could have been very cooool and really amped up that scene heheh
Fun Fact: The victims in the self were an example of a clue placed in Saw 3 where John asked "What about the other test subjects we left alive?" Also you could see Mallick from Saw 5
Back when the movies were coming out, there was theories of DR Gordon being part of Saw gang. Bc of the medical stuff and one scene with a limping person doing Saw stuff. I remember the theory being pretty popular. So you can guess how excited the fans were when the theory was correct
Which is funny considering the OG creators really only planned the three films and everything else had to be put together afterwards. If they had known so many other films were coming, they wouldn't have killed off so many characters in the third film. So to me, it's stunning Gordon lived and became a apprentice given he wasn't planned for the future after the horrible money issue. ~~ I was actually one of the people who thought if anything, it was Adam who secretly survived. He is all about stalking people, watching their personal lives and finding their dirty little secrets. Given the information John has of each victim, it made so much sense he'd need a man like Adam to gather this information as his body failed him. Sadly, it shall never be.
Franchise Ranking Up To Now: 1. Saw II (4.5/5) 2. Saw III (4.5/5) 3. Saw (4/5) 4. Saw VI (3.5/5) 5. Saw IV (3.5/5) 6. Saw 3D: (3.5/5) (It’s so entertainingly bad and funny) 7. Saw V (3/5)
I'd just switch VII and IV. I liked the interwoven storytelling in IV, plus the traps and added background to John's character, but I felt it was narratively stuck on a pointless self-imposed loop that could've been easily merged with Saw V (which had a plot that desperately needed more momentum). The motivation and lessons behind Rigg's test are also nonsensical. Instead of felling deserved, it felt like it was driven purely by Jigsaw's need to tie loose ends. It's understandable, but it also makes it the least compelling premise of the franchise imo, purely a transitionary chapter. VII has its cheese, but the motivation behind Bobby's trial actually felt deserving. Its plot also constantly pushes forward at a brisk pace, and the ending felt so rewarding after this many movies, theories and clues. It has its share of questionable moments, but it's schlocky fun that's easily rewatchable and makes for a solid enough momentary closure for the franchise.
I should just compile my thoughts and comment at the end instead of as I go, but I do have to say that curtain bangs are 100% a thing 😂 and I am dead at "curtains closed" 😂
Interesting Observation: The police never investigated the bathroom game in saw 1. Jigsaw sent the police to the wrong location. The police never found this building. In Saw 3D, the bodies of those who've died are still there. The police never investigated the bathroom game. Dr. Gordon didn't report it. And now, only Doctor Gordon knows where it is. Perhaps, John gave the property to him to carry on the games in secret.
"I think he's in the crafting menu right now" Duuuuuude!!! 😂😂😂 The crazy surgeries all made sense once you see Gordon's been behind it all... would have been cool at the end if he threw the saw away then said "you should be grateful... we still left you your teeth"
I just wanted to thank you guys for this movie reaction and for all the reactions you guys do. I always respect TH-camrs especially ones who work full time jobs and create content so I just want to show my appreciation. Also I saw cojo falling asleep lol and I felt bad I know he was probably sooo tired.
Just to let you know, there is going to be an eleventh (Saw 11) movie coming out this Fall. Saw X is like the franchise coming back after so long, so now they are trying to keep it going even further. There's no trailers yet, but Saw 11 is being worked on currently yay.
While this film is my least favorite of the seven, I love that it revealed Gordon as a secret apprentice. I do wish he was only in the beginning and the end, though. Gordon's tone at the survivors meeting made the twist more obvious.
Just read something about how Chester was chosen because of his vocal range, so that his screams could add extra terror to the scene. Could be cap, but that would make sense
I love the "hear no evil, see no evil speak no evil" theme here. Girl one couldn't speak, the 2nd got her eyes pierced and while the 3rd guy was blindfolded he had to rely on his hearing to live. I interpret the pulling teeth like this: its a common saying that if its difficult to get someone to say/do something its like "pulling teeth". In his case its most difficult to stop him from lying just like "pulling teeth". I do feel his wife didn't deserve that though. Although to be fair this was his chance to erase his lie in the only way he could-by doing what he actually said he did in the book because then its no longer a lie. Im not real clear on if hoffman set up these traps or if John did it well in advance. I feel it was John though. Her death is very controversial but thats the genuis of jigsaw, he always justifies his actions in some way.
Is this my favorite one? Not at all, and Joyce’s death is literally the most frustrating and unwarranted in the whole franchise. But the Gordon reveal is SO good! And it has some silly quotes which I enjoy a lot (“I think we’re breaking up with you, Dina!”)
So regarding Dr. Gordon, there were alot of fan theories about why and how he could still be alive and how he was helping Jigsaw since the second film. There were alot of little set-ups in previous films to remind you about Dr. Gordon. And then finally i think the writers/creators actually just listened to the fan theories and gave fans what they wanted regarding Dr. Gordon and his role. So that was fun to get that. That said, this movie besides the twist was just...okayish. Jill was sadly wasted and they cut alot of stuff out. Those two Teens at the beginning of the film who survive the trap are meant to be two masked dudes with Dr. Gordon at the end and Gordon was the one who set up the public trap cause he was meant to be watching secretly from within the crowd and this was basically leading to a sort of cult being formed after Jigsaw's death and with Dr. Gordon's help i guess? This film could have used an extended cut lol. The next one is good. Jigsaw or was it called Saw: Legacy? was a good entry. Spiral: Book of Saw was not however. I think that one takes the cake for being one of the worst ones.
@Raggedy Pack I absolutely loved the Lawrence “1 Leg” Gordon reveal in unison y’all were like “Ohhhhh!” lol To answer your question about after credit scene no only in Saw VI, then Saw III has an alternate ending. So glad y’all enjoy it, & can’t wait on y’all to get through Jigsaw, & the abomination of Spiral ti get ti Saw X… see you next review fellas!

Can you smell what the Hoff is cookin’?!
No one beats John's drip. 29:47
so here's a interesting fact (and maybe a theory)
Dr Gordon sent the tape to Hoffman when John died saying "I know who you are." That letter triggered Hoffman to get paranoid and go after Jill, resulting in Jill trying to kill him and flee to the IA officers.
so did Dr Gordon send that note on purpose, predicting Hoffman would do all that and give him a reason to then kill Hoffman? John himself did say to Hoffman "if you're good at anticipating the human mind, it leaves nothing to chance" and was very much into predicting people before becoming Jigsaw (see him and the insurance guy discussing this as a shared passion).
Is Blake laughing at blood and gore? I think we got him, boys!!!
Saw 10 is the prequel. I don’t know about Spiral, but Jigsaw is 10 years after this.
Fun Fact: The two men that sacrificed the cheater were originally going to revealed to be the other Pigs led by Dr. Gordon.
“Curtains closed”…priceless 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😂😎
Love you guys ♥ (as aways) also I really love the fact you recognized Chester Bennington. You have no idea how many other reactions to this movie annoyed me with Noone picking up on that.
❤️
That hook trap and the chopping off the arm at the opening of 6 are the only two moments in the entire franchise I always have to look away. So gut churning (literally lol)
This was the end of the original saga, they released each movie every October from 2004 to 2010, absolutely insane!
Can't wait for the next series, guys. I hope it's one of my favorites I voted for, but either way I'll be here watching along with yall. Thanks for another one!
8:09 😂 well said Corey.
RIP Chester Bennington 🤍
I’ve made it 7 movies deep now with y’all and I absolutely love that y’all sometimes call the twists so early on but then proceed to second guess yourselves. It’s a beautiful experience to witness 😂
Oh man can't I wait for the saw X reaction. It's so different but top tier!
i gotta admit as well... when he was pulling his teeth i expected him to try to free his girl but then it electrifies... and jigsaw pops up and says "I never said YOU had to remove YOUR teeth... you now have 90 seconds to remove hers..."
that could have been very cooool and really amped up that scene heheh
Fun Fact: The glue holding Chester Bennington is Gorilla Glue.
definitely not the best one but arguably the most wild/insane one lmao
Awesome reaction of my favorite Saw movie!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊
Fun Fact: The victims in the self were an example of a clue placed in Saw 3 where John asked "What about the other test subjects we left alive?" Also you could see Mallick from Saw 5
Look at Blake being all brave and stuff 👍👍👍
~~
I was actually one of the people who thought if anything, it was Adam who secretly survived. He is all about stalking people, watching their personal lives and finding their dirty little secrets.
Given the information John has of each victim, it made so much sense he'd need a man like Adam to gather this information as his body failed him.
Sadly, it shall never be.
27:56 Blake's reaction. Relateable 😅
Franchise Ranking Up To Now:
1. Saw II (4.5/5)
2. Saw III (4.5/5)
3. Saw (4/5)
4. Saw VI (3.5/5)
5. Saw IV (3.5/5)
6. Saw 3D: (3.5/5) (It’s so entertainingly bad and funny)
7. Saw V (3/5)
Saw X 5/5
Saw 7 isn’t my favorite but it one some of the best moments in the whole franchise.
my saturday night just got much better, love u guys
Hank Hill: Dang it, Bobby!
RIP chester
Dude, the 3D effects in this movie are so fucking hilarious! 😆😆😆
12:37 yall wrong doing Ligi like that 🤡 lol 😆
"I think he's in the crafting menu right now"
Duuuuuude!!! 😂😂😂
The crazy surgeries all made sense once you see Gordon's been behind it all... would have been cool at the end if he threw the saw away then said "you should be grateful... we still left you your teeth"
Gordon supposed to be the ultimate Jigsaw.. "The Doctor" 😂
59:55 It was Detective Matthews, not Adam
23:15 😲 😏 Blake, please don't tease us with a pose like that. 🤣 😂
he can top me
I just wanted to thank you guys for this movie reaction and for all the reactions you guys do. I always respect TH-camrs especially ones who work full time jobs and create content so I just want to show my appreciation. Also I saw cojo falling asleep lol and I felt bad I know he was probably sooo tired.
Thank you ❤️
Off topic but Cojo is one good looking dude 👌🏼
What you'll love about this one is that it has the biggest twist out all of them
Just to let you know, there is going to be an eleventh (Saw 11) movie coming out this Fall.
Think Chester was a fan of the franchise and one of his band mates lived next to Mark Burg, and Mark asked if Chester wanted to be involved
Brazen Bull trap is worse when you know it's history 🥴
You guys should watch “Abigail” it’s a horror/comedy! with Melissa from Scream 5 and 6.
Hell yeah, I'll edit this once I get to the end, but super excited to see the reaction to the twist.
Edit: so amazing reaction as always
YES! i was going to say, if ya'll haven't seen boondocks saints, highly recommend!
Why would bro not just put the hooks thru his jeans? The Hoffinator did the wife dirty though.
I like this one more than Saw 3 imo, like the public trap idea. Really funny how no one can do anything 😂
I got to see SAW IV in theatres and everyone was squeamish and squealing at Chester's scene. It was so intense on the big screen!
