I loved this part: I'm not going to continue reading chapter 9 to 15, cause I'm on chapter 37 right now. As for "shame breeds in the dark" - we must know, up to which limit we can share, not to get sucked into routine of talking about it over & over again to smone & make them sick of it. Yesterday I heard very good advice - whenever you have temptation of having negative thoughts - you look at your watch - your arm wrist watch or clock on your cell phone - doesn't matter. The moment you are having the negative thought - you watch seconds & minutes pass by, so that you can observe the moment of having the negative thought. The fact you observe it, gives you control over your thought, not the thought that controls you. & to summarize this video it's always important to say to ourselves: " I''ve learned a lot from it & I 've grown a lot from it & I'm going to use it to help other people, who have gone through or going through the same thing. "
Thank you for sharing your insights and the advice you heard! It's so important to be aware of our thoughts and take control of them. I'm glad you found value in this video and are motivated to use your experiences to help others. Keep spreading positivity!

Everyone of your videos touches me, your real and talk about some of the best things hard topics ive changed my mindset each day learning from you ❤ thank you Rob!
Hmm don't fully agree. First, a dog or any other animal can very well get traumatized for the rest of their life's. difference is, since they're not aware of it, they can't change it internally. they need a dog expert or whatever to heal from it. Also, recovering from trauma is not just a mindset. It's manifested in your whole body and you actually need to do exercises. I'm diagnosed with complex ptsd, am working on myself since years now and it got much much better. so I fully agree that it doesn't matter how deeply traumatized your are, if it hasn't got a personality disorder, you can do much to recover from it. even with a disorder you can learn how to have a fulfilling life and integrate this part that can't fully be changed. We just don't live long enough to heal every single fragment.
Hey, thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! It's true that trauma can affect animals and humans differently, but it's important to recognize that both can experience lasting effects. It's awesome to hear that you've been working on yourself and have seen improvements. Keep pushing forward and remember that healing is a journey, not a destination!

@RobDialJr Your last phrase moved me, thanks for the response!
Rob, just so you know, Gabor Maté is a retired physician, not psychologist.
