    Truthfully, at first I thought that this content is for the purpose of education. However after really thinking this through, I am convinced that it is nothing more than a marketing scheme for the folks interviewed in the video.

      What you say is true in my opinion. However the production was very informative. I explored wine in the early 1960's. You could buy beer and and wine at 18, but could not vote until 21. Frank Schoonmaker's books introduced me to the world of wine, including Port and Tokay. Living in DC, I had access to stores serving government and embassies. I was a black teenager and they were more than happy to teach me the ropes.
      They were interested in opening new markets and I was a willing student. You can learn from a wide variety of sources.

    Great series! Learned a lot! Wanted to add what I think is a unique comment. I haven't had a good sense of smell. I did a session with the Lumatron, a machine that produces colored light that flashes at a chosen frequency per second. After putting my head in a darkened box and staring at flashing violet light flashing 6 times a second for 20 minutes, I left the office and crossed the field, and suddenly realized I could smell the plants in the field! So when the bus returned back to where I came from, I saw a restaurant sign saying Winetasting. So I decided to check it out, and for the first time, I could smell and taste the various flavors everyone was talking about in the wines! This newfound sense of smell lasted 18 months and now I need another Lumatron session! So this was purple light restoring a sense of smell - I think that's fascinating.

    A few years back i started having bad reactions to wine (age 60), where wine seemed to chemically burn my tongue and throat. The frustrating thing is not every wine would do it so i was playing Russian roulette if i wanted a glass of wine! I tried one of those filters that was supposed to remove the histamines and sulfites, but it did not help. White wines seemed safer as did wines from European countries. The worst was those big red american made wines. How do i and others find a "clean, dry farmed, organic wine product" in the USA?

    I dont agree with him on the oak. New oak is very traditional and a very old world style. He didnt explain how methanol gets into a wine from oak. I need more proof for that. He just skipped over it. If anyone has more info on this, I'd appreciate it. I harvest my own white oak in the Ozarks for my wine.

      worry not about the oak, it is only one thing. there are many factors that contribute to headache and toxicity of commercial wine. if you are making your own wine and you are ok drinking it then just continue it. I myself am making my own fruit wine since grapes are very expensive in my country. The only possible toxic I am putting in my wine making is the lab grown yeast that I am using, the result is still way better than commercial wines. although, i miss grape wines, i cannot tolerate the headache it gives me. so, i will continue making my own fruit wine.

    This video has explained my love hate relationship with wine. Since cleaning up our diet all of which we cook ourselves now, our wine has not kept up with us. Organic wine helped but was lacking. Having made wine myself, a truly amazing experience and producing wine that I can only describe as AWESOME, (home hobby, not grow my own grapes kind of thing), I have not been able to find a wine that has a soul and a story in every bottle. This video explains why and I can't wait for the next episode. Thank you so much for this amazing journey!

    There are usually two or more sides to a story...and radicalism (or call it evangelism) is hardly ever the answer. This is coming from someone who’s toured tons of wineries in Italy (and Slovenia). There are a lot of self proclaimed experts out there - let’s remember to keep both feet on the ground. Having said that, nice program - will look out for the next ones...

    The best way of making wine is is keeping it at the temperature that you're making it so if you if you're making the one you need to you need to just leave it as is if you make it cold or anyting it will affect the flavor and also it might affect how the the wine is

    So my opinion on wine if you really want to have a nice good taste in wine has to be somewhere high in the Hills or something like that to to make it make it properly but there's other type of wines that you can you can drink like Californian wines and you know because of the heat gave it gives off that the bitterness so that's why he gives that nice flavor because of the Heat

  • @richardbickell7692
    @richardbickell7692 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    So my opinion for high-quality wine I agree that it should be a little bit hot I believe that it should be in room temperature it should be I think it should be warm because of the quality of the product and I really like I really like it like that I mean you don't need to have a red wine that is cold because it's not going to give you any flavor or anything

  • @richardbickell7692
    @richardbickell7692 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes the yellow and brown color it comes from the flowers of the wine know the more that it's darker than more flavor it's going to have so if it's brown it's going to have more of a bitter taste to it being beside the yellow

    Interesting, but so slanted toward natural wines. Take the glycosate conversation which seems definitive. They tested 20 regular wines and found glycosate. Wow, send like a lot at first. “We tested one organic vineyard m which didn’t have it.” Well, that doesn’t seem representative after all. They imply it is because of irrigation then acknowledge that is suspicion and not based on data. So this “Revealed” is not an unbiased view of wine. It is primarily two guys with an axe to grind. Good information to have, but keep in perspective that they have perspective that is not transparent.

    I disagree I disagree with this guy only three ingredients I think that it should have more ingredients for the Y depending on what type of food that you have you can't just go with three ingredients on a wine and think that it's going to be the you know hundred percent yeah I agree that people should have a wine that's really good and and goes with the food

    He's he's drunk red wine can be if you make the red wine the best way of doing it is by doing it by the original temperature so when you're making that to wine you want that temperature you don't want to do anything you don't want to admit you don't want to make it cold you don't want to make it that because then it's going to affect the flavor
