Interesting debate in which both are right and at the same time, both positions are a bit oversimplified. And...when was this debate? Did I hear Oz Clarke mention it was 2019?? If so, the wine world has changed even since then, with qualities of new and old world wine production overlapping even more, making this particular debate perhaps less cogent. More urgent (at least IMO): the global demand for wine is decreasing as newer generations drink different things and just drink differently. Neither "old" or "new" world have an effective answer to this challenge.
Old world for me personally. However I have to say that the New World is producing some truly fantastic wine as well. I’ll stick to Bourgogne though. Really enjoyed this.

The best wine is from the Château Picard vineyard from the year 2376 in the Star Trek universe. 🍷 😋
"Never speak in public longer than you can make love." is a brilliant opening and closing line for a long speech to an adult audience. Lol 🤣

Two excellent dissertations that left me loving wine even more but more importantly understanding wines a little more. Oz was sensational!

Who cares where it is produced? Every region has its fans. Figure out what you like and enjoy your wine!
Absolutely enjoyable video.

Why’s this even a debate? New World every time.
it's new year's eve, damn right i want to learn about wine 🥳🥳
Old world wines v new = vinyl v streaming audio.
that's a man, baby.
Frightening lack of diversity in the audience.
Clearly promoting new world wine…
