For over 40 years I was diagnosed with (juvenile) rheumatoid arthritis and recently my diagnosis was changed to psoriatic arthritis! It definitely fits my symptoms better. Especially since I started getting severe back pain. I'd find it all very interesting if it didn't suck so much to have it lol

Enthesitis is what has me walking with a cane at 48. It’s amazing how we take for granted these structures in the body. I see one of the best Rheumatologists in the country and he is considering a second immunosuppressant. Currently am on max dose monthly of Cosentyx. This disease is NO JOKE.

@@marrykate1183 I’m not interested in any medicine that says you can cure an incurable disease but thanks! My education is in the field of medicine. Im all too aware of the etiology, pathophysiology and prognosis of autoimmune diseases. My initial diagnosis of psoriasis came at age 13. I’m doing better with revised treatment including the addition of Prednisone as a maintenance medication. Am off the cane and hiked a few weeks ago to Vernal Falls Footbridge in Yosemite which for me is like climbing Everest. The best thing is understanding that you have flare and recovery and treatment revisions are necessary sometimes. Good luck to you in your cure👍🏻

Going on a carnivore diet changed everything about the arthritis, it vanished under a month. Ribeye or tomahawk steaks daily, salted of course, with 2 litres of water daily, I never felt arthritis again after 3 weeks I’m telling you.

Question: I really didn’t understand very much of this at all. But I do appreciate the efforts. Maybe someone can help me with a question. I read that you can have psoriatic arthritis without having had symptoms of psoriasis. I have pain, mostly in my fingers and toes. It is in the distal joints. It is very bad especially in the morning. Sometimes I can hardly walk on my feet. My toes swell up like little sausages and my fingers also swell. I have had fatigue for years and years and years. I had a spinal fusion due to a different situation, and I know that I have arthritis in my spine. My fusion was in my lower back, so I would not know whether the sacral pain was coming from my original injury or if it’s been exacerbated by psoriatic arthritis. Do you have or do you know of anyone who has psoriatic arthritis without having had psoriasis?

I have had it in my scalp since 5 years old. Now decades later I have it in my nails which are slowly improving with steroid cream. Only my hands. Have you tried LDN? It boosts your immune system and has helped a lot of people. I feel so much better on it. Unfortunately a minority of people have trouble sleeping. That is the only side effect and no drug interactions. I'm one in the minority that can't sleep. But i feel so much better on it that i persist then stop then start again. LDN is an incredible drug. Good luck.
