- Whenever we look at Darkseid we no longer see him as a Superman villain as much as we see him as a Justice League/Universal threat. Many Superman villains have become bigger threats than singularly opposing Superman, so what villains for other JL characters could fill in the role of being bigger threats to the Justice League and the wider universe?

I feel like Ra's Al Ghul could also work very well as a Justice League threat to the Earth, since the League of Shadows could have their hands in everything and quietly take over the world while the JL has to try and stop them before it's too late.

I heard this pitch on reddit for A Superman movie with Ras, eradicator, and Lex as villains. It worked pretty well, I know it’s not the Justice League, but it was cool.
No, Ra's Al Ghul only want to kill the humanity to save the Earth.
@@eggheadartist That'd be cool, but Ivy would never go for it. As far as she's concerned Ra's is the very embodiment of human evil toward one another.
Lets not forget he was the villain of Tower of Babel and exploited Batman's contingency plans to take down the league.
Also I know he doesn't like to use magic but he could be a bigger threat if he starts using it.

I think Larfleeze could work. He could take an interest in Diana’s lasso, Cyborg’s mother box, Aquaman’s trident, etc and come into conflict with the League
He could take the whole League lolz his own super team
I really like the idea of poison ivy going up against the justice league. that one tom king batman issue where she controlled the league against batman was awesome. would love to see that on a bigger scale someday

I know a few Wonder Woman who are a Justice League level threat they are Grail, Cerce, Maxwell Lord because he was able to mind control Superman, Devastation and Genocide.
Idk WW took out Grail and Circe pretty easily in her recent issue. There is a reason why Tom King is saving Cheetah for this months issue and she wasn’t added in the group effort to take out WW. Cheetah is the dark side of WW in ever regard and if writers give her the power level and respect she deserves she is the strongest WW foe.
@@Rawla2 Circe was nerfed. She was incredibly powerful back in Justice League dark after she gained Hecate's power.
Cheetah as well. she solo'd the JL on two separate occasions
I think that it should be:
Superman:Parasite can power himself from other people's powers(kinda like Amazo). Doomsday already was a justice league villain;
Batman:Poison Ivy.She's like Swamp thing lite.That still makes her dangerous.What if she tries to do something as the movie Happening?;
Wonder Woman:Ares.Yes,youre right;
Flash:My personal pick is Mirror Master.His power's are incredible.He can create portals trough any reflective sufaces,he can allow xho and what van enter or exit, basically he can trap you in a reflexion.Dude travels trough dimensions;
Green Lantern:Larfleeze.His powers are terrifying.
This was pretty good. I honestly can not disagree with any of the villains listed.
If I’m being honest, the best choice for GL would be Larfleeze because of the sheer amount of rings he has

I believe the Penguin could have potential to be a Justice league like he could lead a version of the Injustice league and like the Kingpin in the Devil Reign he became the Mayor was able convinced everyone to hate the heroes and have them arrested, why couldn’t they do that when he was mayor and Lex when he was President?
That’s actually a good idea however it was more of a Thunderbolts(Suicide Squad) situation with Kingpin OR maybe even a Sinister Six type team like the Spiderman animated show. Just throwing those ideas

Vandal Savage could work well as a Justice League-level threat because he's immortal and inextinguishable. He has plagued the Earth with crime and violence since before the beginning of recorded human history. He is a capable tactician with immense technological prowess and one of DC's most persistent villains, having fought hundreds of heroes throughout history.
Luthor would create a Doomsday device that could destroy all life and lends it the Joker. The most dangerous teamup.
Even though Vandal Savage doesn’t have a normal hero they’re a villain for, I think they’re my favorite “Justice League level threat”. I just love the concept of the Justice League fighting not just a man, but a thousand years of prep time.

Gotta be honest, I think at this point gorilla grade is recognized as a league level villain as a lot of people tend to forget that he’s even a flash villain to begin with

I am just imagining Ares LOVING Gorilla Gord or the Yellow/Red Lantern invasions. Making him a secret Final boss for an extended storyline.
Also I really liked the Clayface and Poison Ivy analysis. I can already see the potential in both. Poison Ivy just feels fitting being that force of nature
Clayface is a mantle or condition that multiple people have taken on. My favorite example is Ethan Benett from The Batman 2003, he starts out as a variation of 2 Face, a personal villain for Bruce, Joker and Gotham PD, and eventually gets reformed, but his legacy continued into a stronger and more malicious person. The next generation of Clayface being an out of work actor. So the idea of a few more generations of Clayfaces going insane and growing more powerful and toxic like a virus culminating into a Justice League level threat because it snowballed over time could be a really great threat. Because someone would fully embrace the monster they've turned into because they likely sought it out or wished for it to be.
Villains That Would Be Perfect Archnemesis' For The League Individually:

3. Wonder Woman - The Duke Of Deception
4. The Flash - Future Flash

So many villains. I love a great villains, they're so bad but yet so good. I've said it many times, great villains make a better hero.... and an amazing story.
I would use Atrocious over Sinestro just because Sinestro is so focused on Hal and has that connection to him though Larfleez is the obvious choice

Honestly I think circe would be a better JL villain than aries, that JLD rebirth run made her a pretty big universal threat

Deathstroke is a Nightwing/Titans villain.
I think he's a Titans villain as much as he is a villain of the DC Universe. He's also been strongly connected to Batman over history.

Other than his brother Malefic, not really. There is Despero but he's used much more as a Justice League threat.

I don’t really like Poison Ivy as an evil villain, especially since humans are part of nature, too. So I’d propose smart Bane, or like you said, empowered Clayface.
Also, I think Atrocitus is more interesting than Sinestro, especially since we could change how the red rings work slightly, and have it be so Atrocitus (or really anyone) can FORCE a red ring onto someone, and then it’s still one of those things where they die if it’s removed. Because I would LOVE to see Bruce/Batman consumed by rage, and STOPPED by Jason. Basically, a reverse of Under The Red Hood. Where Jason kills Bruce… and then probably mutters something like, “Sorry… dad…” and boom, right in the feels. Everyone loves it. 🎉
I saw the thumbnail and was about to write a thesis on why Reverse Flash wouldn’t work, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear Gorilla Grodd as a contender, because his quarrel with humanity can be applied to the JL too. 👍
I 100% agree with Gorilla Grodd as the choice for Flash like if the other speedsters wanted to be they could be rivals to the Justice League like with most of Superman villains but it’s more interesting to not have that. The other option I think is just the Captain Cold and his gang as a group amped and the Justice League having to deal with them because the Flash alone can’t stop them for whatever reason.
I think any of Wonder Woman’s big league villains could be thrown in as a JL enemy because like Superman she is really powerful and they have something backing them so they can pull in followers to stall and what not and can be given motivations to go after the whole lot neatly.
Batman I honestly think none of his villains really fill the role. Not even Ra’s Al Ghul. Ra’s is just using Batman’s plans and isn’t really a foil to the JL but used as a way to explore the trust and relationship between them. The enemy is more Batman’s mistrust than Ra’s and for Poison Ivy there’s just more interesting things for her to go against when hyper powered then JL such as swamp thing
For me with Green Lantern like any of the cores could be used but they suck as an answer for a similar reason to Batman’s villains they just are better as a contained story to themselves or against different villains to the justice league. Honestly think Larfleeze is the best of them cause at least he’s very different comparably. But he’s also not really main event Star and more an obstacle that you have to manoeuvre to get something to beat the real foe.
For Superman Lex is cool but he’s cooler against either Superman or Batman alone without the Justice League and Ra’s or Vandal Savage are probably better anti-Justice League group leaders. I think Doomsday sucks cause he fills the same niche as every other Justice League villain like Anti-Monitor or Darkseid and has no real motivations. I’m going to say Toyman could be done more interestingly against the Justice League or Zod can be done very boringly but is better than Doomsday still imo.
But the two real best are Mr. Myztplk and Batmite I mean come on. Clearly they need the whole Justice League and more to be in on getting rid of them.
