I had a 2009 1200 sporty a few years back. 4 gallon tank, chrome kit. Rode it to sturgis in 2010. Best looking and sounding bike i ever owned. Been riding since 1973.
One of the most bike-looking bikes ever is the Hardly Startison Sportster. Huge narrow engine, and impossible to improve on the tank shape. Thanks! fer showin'!
My little baby loves this video he is one year and a half years old, when he goes to sleep he watches this video and falls sleep,He loves the harleys, when I show him videos of other brands he doesnt pay attention. His dad has a Harley. I have a evo harley for that reason he likes harleys
Nice collection of footage. The Sportster is the only HD worth owning because it's actually a sporty performer and has tons of character. I have no use for a bike that handles twisties no better than a Winnebago.
I like the bobber at 2:20, very nice. 3:47, much nicer. Damn! The farther I get into the video, the nicer they get, don't think I can pick out the best one or the one I like the best, lol. I'm like a "Blind dog in a Smokehouse"! Thank's for sharing, these bike owners really know how to improve on their Harley's.
If I wanted a crotch, then I would have bought one. I travel long distances, I travel short distances. Sometimes I ride slow, sometimes I ride fast& hard. This looks like a crotcher..hate it hate it.

that bobber looking one in the 01:00, perfect bike for me especially with changed foot controls.. back controls are much better and comfortable with those drag bars
I owned a Sportster and rode it all OVER this country in the 80's....have had a Road King, 2 Ultra Classics, and we currently have a Ultra Limited and a Softail....but I'm sorry....my goodness...there is no better sound in all of motorcycling than a carbed Sportster at idle!!!

Got a 30yo '89 XLH 1200, bored to 1300, Only rub I got was the 2.25 gal peanut on it, and the damn reserve was only .25 gal, been a couple nights walking home. Have since lost that tiny container, up to 4.5 gallon tank now.

Hey Michael, there are alot of brass items out there for the Sporty, J&P, and Chopper Garage USA just to start off with. What u should do is type in the part u want to replace with brass and google it, what I did, Like type: Brass derby cover for 2013 Sportster...it will come up. Luck bro.

Go back to the days of top fuel drag cars, building a cammed 396 big block in your garage and getting a chubby during it's first open header fire -up. The sheer massive sound of DISPLACEMENT and TORQUE vs. today's RPMs is the difference for us. Our your eyes watered from the actual EMMISSIONS (google it) coming from a carb (again, Google it) that was set slightly rich filling the garage with fumes of gas that had LEAD in it... Real man's perfume son! We were KING until the wife bitched about our clothes smelling up the castle. Yeah I'm old. I eat meat, Never had a LIGHT beer or a colored Vodka. It may not be your thing, but THAT's why people some people do this.
To the guys idling the machine as slow as possible to get that plunka plunk sound- IT TEARS THE SHIT OUT OF THE CRANKPIN! The clown in the shorts and ballet shoes doing his burnout on a handicap marker is no kind of biker in my book- jerky boy.
That's the beauty of the bike. If you don't have the means to cut, weld and modify a frame, or to do custom paint you can mod the bike with basic bolt ons.

This is what custom biking is. A lot of it doesn't have all that electronic crap that's just not necessary. Most of these bikes are very cool.

gorilla you a right about the twin cam but it is not a shovester it is an evolution sportster with after market rocker boxes!
