Why You Should Give House of the Dragon a Chance

- House of the Dragon is about to premiere in HBO next month. The question is: will it be good? The reactions online have been mostly lukewarm, a symptom of the disappointment many had with Game of Thrones' ending.
However, I decided to give this show a chance and investigate if it's worth the hype. And I gotta admit... The results surprised me.

I've been very hesitant toward this show, even after reading the book, which started to get me a little more excited for the show. I cant wait to see how they pull it off, GRRM being apart of it brings me some hope that it wont completely fail like seasons 7 and 8 of GoT.

I've been following information on HotD for about a month, and have been really encouraged by TH-camrs like David Lightbringer, who got to see the episode 1 premiere.
Look forward to seeing how the season goes when it comes out in 2 weeks.

My favorite characters in the world of game of thrones have always been daemon targaryen and darkstar. So im glad at least one of them gets to make it onto tv

They have 3 episodes to catch me.
It was surprisingly faithful to the books. GOT season 8 wasn’t as bad as some make it out to be since Martin has said the ending for each character will be the same, only that their journeys will obviously be different. And I hope season two of hotd will bring in Jeyne Arryn. She’s one of the few gay female characters in the series. Love her.

That's exactly like you said: it seems like a back to basics. The trailers have given the impression of a very rich and complex story just like early Game of Thrones and it seems like the show will have all the best elements of Game of Thrones : palace intrigues, complex and colourful characters, good writing, good acting, stunning cinematography and the fantasy element with the presence of dragons and the Targaryens dynasty.

Thanks for the video, you did a good job and I'm glad you're excited for the show. However, my hopes for good entertainment on HBO are still focused on the third season of The Righteous Gemstones. Danny McBride has never let me down, his shows are consistently twisted and hilarious.
