      Two countries doing half a portion of the same project makes it simply a competition to stay on track and on time. Imagine if one finishes their portion and the other didn't, it's probably not going to look good on the international front.

    Looks like a part of Wadi Hana Depot is structurally complete at 5:30 owing to the blue-painted roof.
    Also the 2nd old Tebrau Highway bridge seems to be already structurally removed except for the piers

    • @SGYap
      @SGYap  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The new blue painted roof at Wadi Hana Depot looks a TNB electrical substation for the depot. Yes, the 2nd Tebrau Highway bridge is slowly being removed

    Fun fact in singapore:

    3. Strengthen the Law
    4. Polution rate is excellent
    5. Singapore can make progress
    6. More vehicle use ECO or car charges and other vehicle less use petroleum also less motorcycle
    7. High currency
    8. Great development

    I like watching your videos and very appreciated with all the cost and efforts that you put in making the videos. Btw i think you can get more subscriber and viewer by doing the update on TEL & Cross Island MRT lines also.

    • @SGYap
      @SGYap  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Glad you like them! I also wish I could do more videos on TEL, Cross Island Line or even the Jurong Region Line. Doing the RTS video already took me 3 days, 1 day to film in JB, 1 day to film in SG and 1 day to do video editing. I am a full time school teacher in Singapore, I really cannot not find the time to make so many MRT related videos.

    i guess the length of the railway platforms inside jb sentral should be sufficient for the upcoming ets train service despite the demolition works for the rts project.

    • @SGYap
      @SGYap  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, it is possible the new ETS trains may not require the current JB Sentral full platform length or the demolition is temporary to facilitate the building of the pier. Maybe next month will be more clear

    Now if only Singapore and Malaysia introduce passport free travel between the 2 countries by the time the RTS opens by end 2026. That would make travel between the 2 countries really easy and seamless. Since JB is now declared as a special economic zone by PM Anwar, hopefully the visa issue can be sorted out by then. SG is getting too crowded and expensive and many Singaporeans would love to move to JB if it is easier to get a long term visa to stay in Malaysia.

    • @SGYap

      Yes I do have a property in Malaysia but I am not a property agent. The property prices in JB Town area has been strong for the past 1 year but compared to the property prices in Singapore, it is still big gap. Many Malaysians planning to work long terms in Singapore are buying properties with easy access to the RTS Link.

    • @SGYap
      @SGYap  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@basilchia4892 The condo monthly maintenance will be a lot cheaper compared to condos in Singapore. However the property tax will be on the higher side, about SGD $600 for me per year. Problem is that JB still does not have a good public transport so thousands of people will get off at Bukit Chagar and then wait for 3 hours for Grab while the traffic jam will just choke everything. Meanwhile, once you get Woodlands North station, the MRT system will absorb any hundreds of thousand of passengers without a hitch.
    Without a robust public transport on the JB side, we are just kicking the nightmare can from the causeway and JB sentral to Bukit Chagar. Good luck to us all.
