In real life, all other games are just a man sitting still for hours and staring blankly at a screen. Gaming has never really looked cool to watch outside of the game itself, and no one has ever much cared about it before either. It's what's happening in game that matters.

VR itself is the same. According to Steam statistics, the number of Steam users who have a VR headset connected to their PC increased by 300% over 2018 to 2019, and with the release of cheaper and accessible options from Oculus this year, that already high growth ratio is likely to be even bigger when the stats are released at the end of this year. The audience and number of games sutaible for streaming it is still naturally small though.

Heres the deal with the Knuckles. Playing Beat Saber on the wands, you probably played either with the horrible standard grip which or you played a modified grip where you held it on the back side with your finger through the donut hole on the top. If you played standard grip, these are a big upgrade, however if you played with the modified grip, this is going to feel all wrong as now the saber isn't pointing in the direction of your pointer finger but rather in the direction of your thumb. Your wrist dexterity will be limited in this position even though its more realistically the way you would hold a sword. I just edited the angle of the saber to be more like a gun and its easier on the wrist but strange on the brain because its not at all like a sword but you'll probably be more accurate and dextrous.
Can you elaborate on how it'd be an upgrade from standard grip? I used almost exclusively that somehow, and have been considering upgrading due to the index controllers being lighter and better for jumps, my most feared pattern
@@technowitchjune If you get the knuckles and then go into the settings and choose one of the settings to angle the saber in line with your trigger finger, its FAR better than the standard knuckles layout as well as the vive wands in any grip style. They're lighter, less likely to smash together or hurt yourself with, its absolutely worth upgrading now that you can change the saber angle, theres presets you can pick when you go into the settings while wearing the headset.
@@KevinGeneFeldman Thanks man, I just got them in, and theres a user preset for beatsaber called finger guns or something, I broke one of my high scores on the first try. The weight difference, im just zooming.
One thing im still getting used to though, i tend to start loosing grip on the controllers midway through songs but i think i just gotta tamper with it a bit more. Cheers!

@@Shizlgizl y6a. they are amazing for everything except beat saber. i clipped my knee with my left controller and pretty much snapped it in half. they are great functionally but crap durability. get some quest controllers or make your own sabers with vive trackers...
I usually play without tightening the straps, it feels easier because you can hold the controllers a better way for it to feel right

i absolutely hate the index controllers for beat saber, using vive wands exclusively solely because I can keep a loose grip and change how I hold the controllers on the fly. Index controllers locks my hands in an awkward position, even saber tailor to fix the angles wont help if the controllers are glued to my palms

I personally love the feeling of the oculus controllers because if how they fit in my tiny hands and how light they are. The only problem with them is the headset and tracking is not very good. So I'm waiting on oculus to make an outside in with better tracking than the original cv1. Cuz i get lots of headset lag and bad tracking. It's not because of bad hardware in my computer.
I mean,you wont get that,unless you want the rift s which is inside-out.

I hold the index controllers normally, but adjust the saber position in the settings so it’s more in line with my index finger with the base of the saber coming out of the trigger. It feels more natural to me that way.

As long as you have base stations to track the Index controllers, since the rift s inside-out cameras won't track the Index controllers. You'll also have to use the rift s controllers to navigate through any Oculus menus and such, since the Index controllers will only register in SteamVR

Problem is the oculus ones are way better for beatsaber, so personally I was hoping the index controllers would be better, but it's really hard to tell for now
@@williammrs oculus loses tracking more easily for me
I've been using the index controllers for 2 weeks now and I can say they are way easier to do jumps with as they are lighter. If one tailors them they can also behave as the regular vive wand controllers. So they are pretty much better in every regard after tailoring. Without tailoring (I've played mostly that way actually) they're wierd, but after one gets used to it they are at least as good as the vive ones as I can match my scores.
