Great list. Wish i could justify buying an OLED monitor lol. I just bought the Dell G2427D for the PS5. Its on sale right now for $199. It's a great 1440p monitor. It has a console mode that allows the PS5 to achieve 1440p, 120hz, VRR, & HDR through the HDMI 2.0 port. Just a heads up to everyone, not all HDMI 2.0 monitors allow VRR on the PS5.
Learned that as my Dell S2721DGF wouldn’t allow VRR on the PS5 but it does on the Series X. I did get the LG 27GS95QE OLED though recently and it does it perfectly fine
Does it look blurry to you at all in game, I’ve spent about 500$ on a 1440p dell aw monitor and it blurry in game but on pc it’s beautiful, I’m considering a smaller 1080p monitor for the sharpness
I have a question. maybe Im a total noob for asking this but I dont know why this happened. my TV supported 1440p and it worked fine. couple of days ago I unplugged HDMI cable from TV and when I plugged it back in (same port. not a different one) and turned PS5 on, suddenly it doesnt support 1440p anymore. my TV is Hisense U7H. if you know any solution or explanation for this, please tell.
Thank you! Are you referring to external speakers or built-in? If built-in speakers, what would be your primary use for them? That will help me better contruct a video that's more useful.
What would be better for a ps5. I want to play games like TLOU part 1, GOW, Red dead redemption two etc… A 1440p oled or 4k with no oled. Also love the videos.
Awesome video, looks like im stuck between either purchasing the LG 32" UltraGear 4K UHD or the Gigabyte M32UC. I have xbox series X and Ps5. Like the curved screen but never played on one. 99% of the time i play COD and other game is MLB the show or fortnite and college football. Lg or Gigabyte
I’m sure it’s similar for Xbox but what’s your thoughts on the new Lg27gs95qe vs the 32” Alienware or even an older 34” curved form lg like the LGgp83a for mainly gaming on a Xboxseries x?
you’re great as always ! i’m currently looking for a monitor & have been at it for days i’m hoping you can help ? what would be best for the PS5 but it being 30-32 inches big & still take full advantage of the console ?
Do i really need 2.1 hdmi monitor? Im plannying to buy monitor to play casually, i dont play multiplayer games, just single.player, but i need 32 monitor for work and my ps, debating if i need 2.1 or 2.0 hmdi will be enough
Depends on the budget and what your expectations are? For me i bought a basic 2.0 sceptre from Amazon and it was about $180 (2 years ago) it plenty fine for GTA or other games and haven’t had a big issue with even COD but my biggest disappointment was the colors are not vivid and no depth so some games that would look stunning on a better monitor but i prefer food so ehhh
I’m new to this and thinking about what moniter to get ,do you have a video to explain the ips ,fps and I see people explaining if monitors can handle gaming I plan on using a ps5 slim is that possible ?
Ok I'm new to ps5, correct me if im wrong but it doesnt do true 4k gaming right? Its just 1440p UPSCALED to 4k? So for a tv and console its best to play fidelity mode when performance mode will sacrifice resolution basically? We are basically making safrifices for resolution and or framerate correct? Wouldn't it be better than to just game on a 1440p with fewer framerates then like 30-40? Since the fidelity mode basically is around there instead of chasing higher framerates? Please someone answer me!
Got HP Omen 27q recently and it is pretty decent! Earlier I bought Legion Y27q-30 and needed to send it back due to enormous backlight bleeding in both left corners of the screen. Omen was awesome straight out of a box, although it has cheaper plastics.
Thanks for the heads up! Investigating this right now and it appears there is some kind of issue with Cloudflare.... I'll let you know when it's back up!
@@ronniefernandez7548 That's what made me curious. Typically, a big reason for PC gamers to go with a smaller screen is it's less pixels to light up and therefore more resources to put towards the framerate. With PS5 gaming, you have a ceiling of 120 frames per second and you can already hit that just fine with a bigger screen and even a 1440p monitor. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see how you'd gain any competitive advantage by using a 24" vs a 27". Unless you are factoring in the physical amount of space your eyes have to travel from edge to edge of the screen? In that case I suppose you'd see an advantage.

I’ve been eyeing that LG Ultra Gear for awhile, it’s comforting to see you vouch for it.

May be a bad HDMI cable, try a different good one. I have good luck buying from Best Buy, while ones from Amazon work for a while and go bad.
If I buy the Predator, but the game im playing doesnt have 4k/120, Can i just run it at 1440? Or will it look like shit?
It might not be 4k but 1440 is still really good its not using its 4k potential tho
1440p with HDMI 2.1 is a must because 2.0 doesn’t have VRR and that’s a miss.
So it would still get 120fps but with no VRR, is that it?
@@Sargoneees yep

I've watched almost all your videos but still have no idea what is simply the best Xbox Series X monitor for FPS (Warzone) regardless of budget
C2/c3 are still the best for OLED ps5 hybrid tv/monitor.
Is UHD the same as 4K? When I click the link I do not see a 4K version for the first monitor
Will these monitors require you to buy speakers?

Thoughts on the ViewSonic vx4k monitor?
So would you not have to worry about screen tearing without the hdmi 2.1 when playing games like call of duty?
why 240hz if the ps5 can only output 120 fps?
Tried 3 OLEDs monitors and should be noted input delay is a big drawback in 120hz or less
Which 3 did you try?
Great video as usual!!

So is it impossible to use 1440p with a fhd monitor?
PS5 players: You cannot get 120fps at 4K or 1440P without an HDMI 2.1 port.
Whether website are you using
If i get the top 1440p pick, can i just plug the hdmi cord that came with the ps5 right into it without buying another cord?
Yep! With 1440p you won't need anything more than an HDMI 2.0 to take full advantage of 1440p at 120fps.

4k 120hz is only possible with HDMI 2.1 for consoles.
