Tre rifle is a remington of some flavor. I have no idea the model number. My Uncle had one. The revolver is a Mod 38 "Bodygaurd" and since the auto loader has no grip saftey, it's probably Spanish.
@@1957Shep I own a Mod. 38 and a 638. I borrowed the rifle as a boy to hunt a few times. I shot a few bunnies with it and a quail using .22 shorts. I spotted the quail covey sitting under a multiflora rose bush when rabbit hunting. I was 12 at the time! lol
I remember when Star started importing these back in the 90's, everyone wanted the .40 cal! It was on the cover of G&A and they sold like hotcakes! They turn up in auctions periodically.
the Remington was my first rifle. I got it from my great-grandfather. The Firestar I own, is the 40 S&W version. I recognized the revolver as an S&W but I didn't know exactly which one.
I figured the rifle was a Remington as it looks a lot like my Remington 512-X (biggest difference is the 512 series had a magazine tube under the barrel) but had no idea which model. I got the Firestar. I remember when those came out I was close on the Revolver, I thought it was a model 49
It might well have been a Remington 33 you shot back then. They were popular with shooting clubs and the Boy Scouts. Made back in the 1930s, but you can`t hardly wear one of them out.
The auto pistol is a Star Firestar. The finish is called "Starvel."
Yep.

That is pretty good.

They are still pretty easy to find.
Wow. I own 2 out of the 3 guns on that table. Fine specimens. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching.

Sounds like you've got a pretty nice collection.

You were pretty close on those guesses.
Happy new Year, Shep🎉
Happy new year!
i see a firestar and a smith. it looks like an old 22 like i shot in camp as a kid in the 70's.

Alot of the older 22's bolt actions look similar. A firestar , my friend has one in 40 s&w . And a smith model 38 or 38-2, I have one of those.
A lot of the old 22 rifles look so much alike. But that is understandable. When you have good designs, you stick with them.
No clue on the auto.. maybe a Ruger of some flavor.. or a Daewoo? Maybe a Bodyguard and a Remington 33?
2 out of 3.
@@1957ShepSpanish Star Firestar?
I had a 33 for all of my childhood.. shot a lot of stuff with that , both alive and inanimate, sure wish I still had it.
When I was a kid I had a JC Higgens that was very similar to the Remington model 33.
S&W Model 38 Airweight, Star Firestar, maybe Winchester 60a.
2 out of 3 is pretty good. The Remington 33 is a tough one to guess since so many old 22s look so much alike.
☕😁👍 thanks it was Fun.
I had a Firestar 45. I really liked it but it was pretty heavy
Glad you enjoyed it.
One of the things I like about the Firestar is that it has some heft to it.
That spanish gun is cool
Love the nested hammer and inverted rails
The Stars were decent guns. But since they have been out of business for 20 years it might be hard to find parts if something goes wrong with one.
S&W model 49, Interarms Firestar, and I don't recognize the rifle.
Close on the revolver. Really hard to tell the difference between the model 38 and model 49 without being able to feel the weight.
I only got the 22LR
One is better than none.
