BRAVO 🎉 i've watched sooooo many color pooling video and Zero of them have explained it so simply yet completely like you have here!!! 🎉❤ Thank you 😊 you're a godsend!
Excellent at explaining how to get started. I watched other videos for color pooling..... getting started was not explained in enough detail with actually showing it being done. Thank you for that. I feel more confident now to give it a try.
The way you teach just made a lot of sense to me and it clicked. Just tried it out and did it exactly how you explained it. It came out perfectly on my first try. It's definitely something you can't really zone out on if you're a beginner. Have to pay attention to the color changes. Thanks for explaining it so well. Sometimes difficult with my ADHD and autism. :)
Dear Mrs. Coffee, thank you for your time in explaining this technique. I started early this morning with your video first, and then I watched probably 10+ more. ALL day I have been playing with yarn determined to not give up (as you encouraged). I am ending my day with your video as well, AND I think it's finally all coming together after many hours {and weeks off and on). You have been such a big help for me. I just look at my work while I listen to the instruction of your calming voice. I believe my mistake has been in choosing variegated yarn that has too many shades of similar color (raspberry to rose to pink to white) and this made my life difficult. You helped me to think color pooling through my head clearly. Blessings to you and yours :)
I learned to crochet from my mom, but my yarn tension has NEVER been consistent. I also never knew planned color pooling was a thing until now! wow! This looks like a good practice to get my tension consistent. Lots of practice, of course. I love a good challenge. Thanks for this video!
@@MrsCoffee1 so I finally got some yarn and crochet hooks (I'll find the ones I packed up now that I bought new ones). I can't wait to give color pooling a try. But I have a follow-up question now! They had two different kinds of multi-colored yarn. I believe it was block colors and ombre. I got the ombre because the colors blend like what you used in the example. Would it work the same way for the block colors? 🤔
I got that regular variegated one mastered how about the ones like teal light blue teal navy black navy have you tried that yet I'm still fighting mine but I'm going to figure it out love your video thank you 3:01
I lov your video. You are such a great teacher! I would never been able to do this, Your instruction really explained it soI could do this. Thank you so much!!!👏🏻
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I've spent the last two days trying to figure out what I was doing wrong, but how you started off helped me get the pooling effect to go! Marly Bird is my go to since I've started crochet, but pooling was a hard bump in the road and your tutorial helped me big time, thank you!
Yippee! Finally! I got it. My problem before "I got it" 1. I forget to after single crochet the chain one. 2. forget to skip a stitch. 3. Major big error the sides was crooked. After correcting my problems. Also stop every 2 rows and check if every is pooling. Yippee!! Sorry I am late into this color pooling party. Your video just popped up in my list. Thank you so much.
Love that pink I'm watching several different videos try to learn this process you're not even counting the stitches you're just watching the tension and the color change amazing the different techniques are really challenging I'm going to keep trying
Thank you so much, Mrs Coffee. I finally got it, after realising one of my foundations was out by one. It just fell into place after pulling it out 5 times. The new camouflage pink has a different layout and no light pink - a cream that does two SC, but it will look lovely when done. Again, thank you from North Queensland 🙏.
I bought the pooling yarn by red heart on day 2 been watching lots of videos. Thank you very much for the Tutorial it has been very helpful. Getting ready to grab my yarn again and give it another try.
I am going to try this. I am getting interested in color pooling since I have worked with the moss stitch more. I have a lot of random varigated yarn on hand to practice with. I have watched a lot of videos and I love the way you explain things. You dive right in going to dig through my tote of varigated yarn and find something to play with tonight. Thank you for a great tutorial.
I love you lol. I have been wondering how to do this pooling thing for a while now and I have watched a few tutorials about it and you have been the best one yet. I understand it 100percent better now. I have a few projects I'm working on now and I'm gonna give it a shot. I don't give up either I love to crochet and sometimes written patterns are hard to read so I take a screenshot shot of something that I like and I blow it up and try to draw it up on paper. Sometimes it works and sometimes it dont but don't give up. Great job girl and keep up the great tutorials.
I love your explanation! It looks beautiful. Unfortunately, I had the same problem as other ladies, Your hands were not visible All the time. I am going to watch your other videos and I will try again. I am already your fan!😊 Thank you!
Hi, my biggest question is, I have several variegated yarns. But when I go to start, the colors are not long enough. Is there a minimum length of color or should I just go to the pooling yarn and save myself!?!!?!?!
Hi Mrs.Coffee I was wounding I use manly the red heart supper Saver Yarns for crocheting and loom knitting. can you use any red heart supper Saver Yarns that is a multi colored yarn too make the yarn pooling blanket?
I have tried this with proper wool for pooling. I started as you have described. I then found it didn't work so changed my hook as suggested. I eventually found 3 hooks later it was better but I never did get the effect that you have. Also I tried a longer chain maybe 3 sequences and it never worked at all. Have now given up!!!
I have a pt2 to this video, please check the i in the corner or the video , watch my hands you can do it, it took me 2wks to learn this particular stitch when i first learned it
Just a tip for "hands on camera"...you can put a placemat (or something the colour you want) on the table where the camera frame would be and then make sure your hands are over that placement, so they will always be on camera. HTH. Other than that, great video!! M
I Apologize for not being able to see my Hands in this Video, a Take 2 was made: th-cam.com/video/vgNiS0RJ3oY/w-d-xo.html It has also been linked in the ( i ) card
I may not have been able to see what you were doing all of the time, but your verbal instructions are clear and easy to follow. Thank you :-) What is the name and # of this particular skein/colour? The blended and diffused colours in the pattern remind me of a rose garden in sunlight and shadow. Very pretty.
It's Redheart's Pink Camo, npt sure of the lot #. If you check out pt 2 of planned color pooling, The visual is better on doing this, and that is using Redheart's Blue Camo.
I was doing good on this pattern but now I'm having some problems with it again so I don't think that I will be doing this pattern anymore but thank you for your encouragement as always
Thank you for the encouragement and the help but I am still having problems with the pattern and I have given up on it so I will not be doing it again but thanks for trying to help
I have decided that I would keep trying color pooling and I have finally got the hang of it and if you have gotten an email about a few minutes ago on Instagram just wanted you to know that I was the one who sent it to you have a nice day
On the contrary, the one thing every crochet person I've listened to has said is so important in color pooling is that you DO NOT keep your tension even. Instead, you have to be flexible so you can make the stitches land where you want them to land.
If your tension is not the same throughout, how will it pool?... that sayin is new to me, but if that worked for you... then how and why did you end up here?
Wish you were working on camera. I’m a visual learner. So I must go watch someone else to learn this stitch. I was hoping to learn from you. I love how you explain why we do things.
Trying this again after years of avoiding it like the plague!😩😩 I’m trying to be patient and positive - three weeks - really?😩😩 I feel like the pics you have to stare at for a moment before you actually see the pic🤷🏽♀️ I’m not seeing it even after 10/15 rows? How can I train my eye to see it correctly? I see it shifting but I don’t see any real formation going on. 😞🤷🏽♀️
I really want to learn this stitch but I cannot see what you're doing. Please show more of what you're describing & less of the skien & yarn. What can be seen, I love it! Thank you.
Don’t mind please -- your hands should be a little forward. We can not get the picture properly on the screen. One thing more the shadow of the wool ball is creating problem. Otherwise all okay 👌.
Not sure why but after watching most all the other videos on this I could not get it. I understand it but could not make it work. I think what did it as the beginning. Just make it the length you desire, then keep following the steps on repeat

How would you start second ball of yarn?
like you would do a normal color change you would find the pattern on the new ball see where it stopped on your project and keep it going

I still don't get how you would make the colour poolongnif you made it say blanket width.
Copy the color pattern to the width you want
@@MrsCoffee1 thank you! i will give it a go, absolutley love the effect x
Ok so if I want it bigger I can do more than 1 sequence? And I saw someone do this in double crochet not moss stitch. can any stitch be used?
She done 6 clusters of the dc(granny cluster- 3 dc I think same hole)skipped 3 .done 3 clusters in the beginning and end though..
I am not sure if any stitch can be used for this, I've only done it in Moss stitch
