I've painted a couple vehicles that were not shy in using tire shine products. It sprays over the wheel wells as you drive. Its hard to get off, and leaves fish eyes in the paint if you don't get it all.
Mr hevy shevy is how I found your channel after he spent a weekend with the flu. He gave you high marks on the appreciation scale. I like bare tires due to gravel roads and static cling for dust. Shiney tires look good until driven and then they look like dirt stuck on grease
Ya give it a shot and let me know what you think. Might have to scrub the tires a couple of times depending on what has been used on the tires. I find using a stiff bathroom brush works great for me atleast.
Personally like gloss but not too much next time Sarah use APC all purpose cleaner to clean the tyres try Carpro Perl water based rubber dressing also use on trims lasts for ages and please keep the lipgloss 💄😉
Thanks a lot for the shoutout. Yes I'm doing my videos actualy in 4 languages. Geman, French, English and Luxembourgish (Yes we have our own language). So, glossy or matte? I personally like it when the tires are matte, that is how a tire as from its natural side. A tire is never glossy when it comes out of the factory. And like you said, many people have beautiful rims and if the tire is glossy, the eye gets distracted in my opinion. Beautiful lips by the way. ;)
I have lots of real estate on my tire. I have a 17 Tundra and i like the matte look. I recently picked up Chemical Guys TVD and it works great. Love your vids. You work really hard on you content. Keep em coming 😜🚘🚿💨🤘🏻
It's also good to use something thats specifically ment for tires to shield them from uv light which turns the tires brown. I use Soft99 Tire Black Wax which protects the surface and makes them look like brand new. The stuff is like black wax like the name states so you don't want to go scrubbing your white summer dress on them tho :D I do buff all the excess off so it doesn't sling on my paint.
matte look during the cold months and shinny during the hotter months, but it doesn't matter, neither one of them comes close to those VOLUMINOUS lips of yours love your vids keep up the awesome work
Since my show/fun car, my Saleen, has chrome wheels, I prefer the gloss look. I think I might try to find some matte treatment product for my daily driver and try that product on the DD, see how it looks on "regular" wheels. Thanks!
Thank you for the shout out. A pretty girl talking about my channel always brightens my day. I am a little hevy and can easily see how you could become confused. I prefer the gloss. Unless it looks better matte. Depends on the car, I think.
Sarah, I find (it was the hard way) it helps if you have a piece of cardboard that covers the wheels while working with the tire spray. OR, if you want to go full ham, you could take the wheels off the vehicle and work horizontally. Spray tends to be more uniform as you discovered, but using a sponge with a few thin coats seems to prevent slinging issues if you need to keep the wheels on the vehicle.
Great video Sarah. I have been a fan of contrasting the tyre and the rim, matt rym/ glossy tyre and vice-versa . Would be interested in seeing a whole side shot to get a better idea of how it looked with the white rims. Even though they don't appear to be glossy I think it would look better with matt tyres. (I am from Australia, we have different Tyres)
Hey Sarah, another great video! Hey forgot to say this on an earlier comment of mine, wanted you to know that my family and I want to thank you for your service in the air force. We love and support all of our military, local law enforcement etc... Many thanks for your service!
I think shiny may go with chrome rims and such I just got some enkeis gunmetal black for my wrx and I don't like the rubber to shine more than the matte finish myself. I enjoy your humor good vids!
I clean my tires with adams rubber and tire cleaner along the tuff shine brush. For shine I use carpro pearl and chemical guys natural shine. They are water base and leave a subtle gloss.
Gloss looks good until you drive it somewhere. Matte-ish is my favored look, with your points on sling being right on point. Just got new rubber myself today and will be comparing Ammo Mud to CarPro Perl to find out which is best (endurance and sling-wise). They're both relatively matte in appearance. Cheers!
So, I typically struggle with this issue. I don't like matte and I don't typically like the wet look. My current car (GT350R) has gloss black wheels and if the tires are matte, it looks somewhat odd. My personal favorite now is Car Pro Perl, it's somewhat of a bridge, it has a satin low gloss that I really like, they don't look like they are covered in silicone and they don't have a matte dull look either. Worth a shot, you use it full strength on the tires and can dilute it to use on trim and or interior pieces (which I do not).
I use Meguairs coating spray let it settle in to a shine then take a damp sock and wipe the shine down kind of like a matted look and it "pops" really nice no mess on the car either.
First and foremost...condeeshunnuh is bettah. Second...I prefer the gloss look on my tires, though that xxx tire restorer you used looked good. Thirdly.... I’m now buying one of those applicators. Looks way more efficient than spraying.
Hey first off I love your videos. Im a professional detailer in Canada and I like to use turtle wax jet black endura-shine for the wheels. Leaves them glossy with no sling. Should check it out. Keep up the great videos.
Best to use a matt finish, mainly because most people that use any bad quality tyre dressings do not apply it correctly and thus the residue gets all over the just around the rear panel where the wheels spinning and then you have to make sure to remove all that rubber treatment off the panels . :)
I personally prefer a matte look on rubber. I have also found ( and maybe you have as well ) that using water based dressings yields a better look that doesn't make a mess.
My local Used Car Lot buddy ALWAYS uses a matte tire protectant. Especially on the more expensive vehicle tires, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, Lincoln, Cadillac, etc. etc.
Try Chemical Guys G6 Hypecoat on tires. It gives a nice matte finish, and it dries nice so it doesn't splatter on your paint. It also works great on interior and exterior trim that have a rubberized feel.
G'day, Sarah! “The indecisive rower couldn't choose either 'oar'.” But, I do liked the Matte Tires! Haha! That was pretty good! Where's your SpongeBob tire pants, or is it Square Bill Second Pants!! Lol!! Thank you! Fabulous video! Cheers! :-) 👖😊❤️
Thoroughly enjoy all your vids! I gotta say matte in my book. I feel it has better longevity and has a classier look on any vehicle. I like my paint glossy, but not my tires!
so cool so witty so adorable so good at being you.....It truly doesn’t matter, some days flat and dim some days shiny and messy. Depends on the moisture and pressure. In the air of course. You are very easy to enjoy watching LOL ......now I have commented below. No comment about belowing below. I give my shout out to Charlie. Good job brother!
I've actually had good luck with chemical guys gloss spray, don't get the sling and i'm running m/t's on my truck that stick out about a half inch of the flares.
When you use gloss on tires, you spray it on and let it sit and soak, then spray it again, let it soak, then wipe wheels down, this soaking process lasts about an hr.
*Matte because the only shine I need is your smile....AWWWW ( ^.^) So yeah the slime look on tires is a choice for some people but a clean tire with a little shine is best IMO.*
Sarah you are hotter than Beyonce! I prefer the matte on that car. Btw those wheels look like they would be hell to clean with all the spokes and being white.
6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of the other, depends on the car's vibe. Sarah, I must say I thoroughly enjoy your channel and sense of humor, it's kinda twisted Like me. All The Best from Colorado !
Hey Sarah another great video. Got a question... I have a 98 chevy Silverado z71. And i want to clean and bring back the interior. Dash and all the other plastic. Nothing is to the point where you can scratch off. It is really in need of being brought back. I have tried couple of things from the store. And they havent worked. And i just wanted to ask what would you use. Thanks from Kansas
Which look did roomy Sarah prefer ?. If Matte , did you have to remove the Shiny product afterwards ? , would have been good to have seen her reaction to your efforts :) . Wish we had some of your Arizona heat in the UK at the moment , been so wet and cold the last month here !
I've painted a couple vehicles that were not shy in using tire shine products. It sprays over the wheel wells as you drive. Its hard to get off, and leaves fish eyes in the paint if you don't get it all.
Very true...
DEBOSS GARAGE i hear what your saying about flinging with tyre shine thats why i use tyre gel you get a full gloss without the flinging :-)
yeah silicone will shut down a paint shop quick lmao
Zee Lewis not if the degrease the whole car first 😉
Use (cover All ) it's the best product period for shine and does not sling off.
Matted looks clean and sophisticated lol
Mr hevy shevy is how I found your channel after he spent a weekend with the flu. He gave you high marks on the appreciation scale.
I like bare tires due to gravel roads and static cling for dust. Shiney tires look good until driven and then they look like dirt stuck on grease
Randy J awww, I didn’t know! That’s sweet 😊
Matte finished is the best. I like to use scrubbing bubbles on my tires. Makes them look like there brand new again
Tim Keenan scrubbing bubbles? No way? 🤔
Sarah,do a test using scrubbing bubbles!
Ya give it a shot and let me know what you think. Might have to scrub the tires a couple of times depending on what has been used on the tires. I find using a stiff bathroom brush works great for me atleast.
Tim Keenan I'm going to give it a try ...thanks Tim
Personally like gloss but not too much next time Sarah use APC all purpose cleaner to clean the tyres try Carpro Perl water based rubber dressing also use on trims lasts for ages and please keep the lipgloss 💄😉
Gloss with matte wheels, matte with gloss or shiny wheels ✨
Agree about some tire products, (may cause premature sidewall cracking, etc.). I like the non-gloss / flat tire products.
I like the matte look much better and you're right on the glossy look and gets all over your car causes more of a mess
I never get tired of these cleaning videos! Natalie is awesome 😁
GIRL!!!!!!!!! THOSE LIPS!!!!!
What?
Thanks a lot for the shoutout. Yes I'm doing my videos actualy in 4 languages. Geman, French, English and Luxembourgish (Yes we have our own language).

ZipperDetailing I remember! I used to visit Vianden all the time when I lived in Bitburg.
Sarah -n- Tuned Ah cool ! So you know our country! Sadly you're no more around the corner. 😊
ZipperDetailing 🇬🇧
Sarah does have a nice set of lips. The kind of lips that makes you want to put your love hammer between.
I use the tire gel stuff but work it in very sparingly and then buff the excess off. leaves sort of a satin finish and no slinging.
I like the OEM look...which is what we are calling matte here, so that gets my vote.
Matte all the way. Hope you have something to cool that garage down, getting hot in the desert. Love the videos!
xtremtc I don’t 😔
I'll never get tired of watchin this lady's videos. . .
Regardless of the wheel itself being a matte or gloss finish, I always 100% of the time like matte tyre finish the best.
I have lots of real estate on my tire. I have a 17 Tundra and i like the matte look. I recently picked up Chemical Guys TVD and it works great. Love your vids. You work really hard on you content. Keep em coming 😜🚘🚿💨🤘🏻
I use " 303 Protectant " it has UV protection... I use it on my tires and all Vinyl, Plastic, Rubber, Fiberglass, and Leather ...
It's also good to use something thats specifically ment for tires to shield them from uv light which turns the tires brown. I use Soft99 Tire Black Wax which protects the surface and makes them look like brand new. but asking the real question here: Is it heavys hevy, or hevy shevy?
but asking the real question here: Is it heavys hevy, or hevy shevy?
Miguel Ribeiro it’s hevyshevy. Older, muscle car minded folks will get it.
Bent Nickel exactly right.
I agree. On my mom's Charger, the gloss looks great. But on the Nissan Frontier, always matte. It just works out that way.

Defo gloss Sarah.....really shows off the tyre plus adds to the look of the car...👍
I clean my tires with adams rubber and tire cleaner along the tuff shine brush. For shine I use carpro pearl and chemical guys natural shine. They are water base and leave a subtle gloss.
Definitely the best tire shine video ever. I can’t decide so ima watch it again
Gloss. And I spit my drink out laughing at the “hair in my mouth” comment. 😂

On the ford ST the Matt look is far superior. Cannot wait to see the mrDOS vids soon. Another great video Sarah 😊🚗
I use Meguairs coating spray let it settle in to a shine then take a damp sock and wipe the shine down kind of like a matted look and it "pops" really nice no mess on the car either.
Never heard of that product. I'm currently in between Adams polish and Ammo mud
First and foremost...condeeshunnuh is bettah. Second...I prefer the gloss look on my tires, though that xxx tire restorer you used looked good. Thirdly.... I’m now buying one of those applicators. Looks way more efficient than spraying.

Great video!👌Sarah's Focus looks really cool with those wheels. 👍
Glossy tyres for me. Everything looks better when glossy. 😁
Great videos Sarah, keep up the great work.
Matte
Matte gives a nice natural look, both on the car and on you. Natural is best IMHO. Fun video today!
Especially on the more expensive vehicle tires, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, Lincoln, Cadillac, etc. etc.
Dish soap works best to get tires clean. Then use pledge for a semi gloss look. Works great!
Try Chemical Guys G6 Hypecoat on tires. It gives a nice matte finish, and it dries nice so it doesn't splatter on your paint. It also works great on interior and exterior trim that have a rubberized feel.
I like the matte side. Great video 👍
I like kinda inbetween. Not the extreme shine, but a little shine, so they have a slight pop.
Sarah you are the best youtuber in the world just luv your personality and humour keep it up , from down under australia
Mat looks great.
It's definitely a perspective thing. I have black Motegi Mr114s on a black car. So either one could work. With the white wheels. I'd prefer matte.
I like in between, I use 303 protectant. It gives it a new deep black look.
Matte is better! You make such a good Job! Love your vids and channel sooo much!
I use an S.O.S. Pad on my tires and a brush.
Old school. That’s how my dad cleaned his tires.
I love your personality and your vids!!!:)👍
G'day, Sarah! “The indecisive rower couldn't choose either 'oar'.” But, I do liked the Matte Tires! Haha! That was pretty good! Where's your SpongeBob tire pants, or is it Square Bill Second Pants!! Lol!! Thank you! Fabulous video! Cheers! :-) 👖😊❤️
Matte for sure. Great job.
Glossy!!! Glossy everything. Tires, hoses, engine plastic. Make it shine
Matte. Gloss makes the tires look so greasy. And there's also the problem with gloss being flung onto the body like you mentioned.
Matt finish looks better. Love all your videos 😎😍💖💋💐
Gloss looks good on luxury cars. Otherwise, I prefer the matte finish on a tire.
Thoroughly enjoy all your vids! I gotta say matte in my book. I feel it has better longevity and has a classier look on any vehicle. I like my paint glossy, but not my tires!
holy shit those rims must be a nightmare to clean. My Integra type R has white wheels and they get dirty very quickly
so cool so witty so adorable so good at being you.....It truly doesn’t matter, some days flat and dim some days shiny and messy.
Yesss another upload..damn near broke my tv turning it off to watch this!
Matte.
Luv the innuendos - all of them.
When you use gloss on tires, you spray it on and let it sit and soak, then spray it again, let it soak, then wipe wheels down, this soaking process lasts about an hr.
I like your sense of humor! Forester Gump! That cracks me up.
Always apply the matte finish Liberace-rably!
Cover all... best gloss look. And its super light cover.
Matte!! I get the best results with car pro pearl. Water base so you make it a glossy or as matte as you want with no sling or residue!!
77surefire the hell I am, lol 😂 thanks though!
Sarah -n- Tuned You are to me 😍 Charlie is a lucky man.
They both look really clean!!!!
Ok what do you have for Simi gloss ? 😐
Your tats are awesome, great job on the ink
The mat look the best with those wheels I thought it Was so cool you put on shiny lipgloss 💄 for the shiny side
Really enjoy your channel I'm like you I like to keep my vehicles clean and really like all your detail tips you give.
Love your sense of humour...and great presentation....Matte looks natural and gloss looks fake imho.
I prefer the mat to the brightness because we want the tires to be clean to enhance the rims.
both look good, but i actually prefer matte on that car. i like gloss on my own.
Why was there light coming out of the vent on your garage wall, beside the trash can?
i'm jealous, you are giving those tires SO MUCH LOVE.
Gloss. There are some glossers that dry gloss but also dry completely so no sling. Surf city garage is one of them i use. No sling.
Matte tires, glossy Sarah! Awesome video!
Matt for the tires, gloss for the lips.
Thumb's up 👍 on ze vid's Sarah.
Nice of you to do shout outs. Yep, for me when you want the wheel to stand out go with the matte look.
You my dear, are hilarious! Keep it up! Love you!
6 of 1, 1/2 dozen of the other, depends on the car's vibe. Sarah, I must say I thoroughly enjoy your channel and sense of humor, it's kinda twisted Like me. All The Best from Colorado !
2:01 Forester reflection in those eyes though~ Matt in this case.
A "Wizzerdoodle" also goes good with a "Snapperdoodle" : )
labradoodle?
Hey Sarah another great video. Got a question...
I have a 98 chevy Silverado z71. And i want to clean and bring back the interior. Dash and all the other plastic. Nothing is to the point where you can scratch off. It is really in need of being brought back. I have tried couple of things from the store. And they havent worked. And i just wanted to ask what would you use. Thanks from Kansas
Was gloss in my younger years but now it's the natural matte finish for me.
Gloss is cool, except I have to touch up the part of the sidewall that was along the ground. Maybe I'm a bit OCD, lol.
i like forester gump .i have a 2016 forester no turbo.my bad.
Which look did roomy Sarah prefer ?. If Matte , did you have to remove the Shiny product afterwards ? , would have been good to have seen her reaction to your efforts :) .
Wish we had some of your Arizona heat in the UK at the moment , been so wet and cold the last month here !
I say Glossy. Thanks for the amazing vids!
