There are many counties all over the country that prohibit their officers from chasing people, because all it does is put everyone else on the road at even greater danger because both the car being chased and the chaser are now breaking speeding laws, going through stop signs and lights barely stopping or not stopping at all, weaving in and out of traffic, all things the police pull you over for doing because it poses a threat to public safety, yet it's okay to do in order to chase someone down to give them a traffic ticket? Hmmm, no. You have the person's license plate, the cops can just knock on the registered owner's door an hour later. Case and point, the guy almost died himself chasing the Mercedes when the bumper came flying off and he came inches away from hitting it. And what did he even really accomplish? He's not stopping the guy from driving, he didn't prevent the accident, all he's doing is being Captain Save-a-hoe trying to make sure the guy doesn't get away with it, even if he has to risk his own life and everyone else on the road around them to do it. To be honest i was suprised the car didnt overheat within minutes. It must have still had the radiator intact. The smoking could have been from the transmision oil cooler as it is in front of the radiator. My guess would be either he ran out of gas, topped because he knew he could not get away ,or his transmission gave out on him.

@@imdatnigga9715 Different roads have different rules. Left lane for passing only must be a posted sign like on I-10. If you have to turn left, you need to use the left lane to get to the turn lane, and in some cases there isn't one (a turn lane) so you need to use the left lane to turn. Sometimes on highways there are off ramps on the left. I know San Antonio has at least one.
Well sense there were 2 possibly more injured people on scene the cop had to prioritize medical attention to possibly wounded drivers. So obviously he let the bad guy go. It would actually make him a really shit cop with a massive ego if he chose catching some asshole over possibly saving someone's life
