SA’s response to idiots assembling the 20 round magazines wrong and claiming they fall apart while firing. All of said people were putting the floor plate inside the magazine body instead of the outside.
lol yep "FATAL FLAW! The mags do not work! The Echelon is junk" Give me a break. The mags are great. People just dont put them back together properly and then complain the gun is garbage.
@@voodoosan2299 I have the Echelon it is an EXCELLENT pistol. I have used the 20 round mag nd used it hard slamming it in gun and letting it drop from over 6 feet on hard cement ground. It has never failed. People that installed it incorrectly is the problem.
Thank you for this video, I am new to Springfield Armory handguns. This helped me a lot when trying to figure out how to convert the magazine from the 17 to the extended magazine.
Great video and info, although a bit tricky getting the spring and plate lined up and compressed in order to slide the extension on smoothly because the tolerances are tight and I like it!!!
Thank you, SA, for making such a fine handgun. It's a terrible shame that idiots hurry to call the Echelon's magazines defective because they're too stupid to know how to reassemble them. Guntubers, take note. Stop being whiney and looking for problems that don't exist.
It didn't take a hour for me. But I have seen this style of extender before and looked at the original 20-rd magazine as a pattern. What took the longest was compressing the spring but that's not SA or the mag''s fault, it's my weak hands/forearms.
I have done this exactly how you have showed in your video. But it makes no difference. I tap the magazine in and it explodes almost every time. There has to be another fix.?
OK I purchased my echelon and the 15 round magazine that came with it has no hole in the base plate? How do you disassemble it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Greg Cote LLC is a great source for magazines. Remember, SA's GearUp program (giving 3 17-rd mag to purchasers of the Echelon) runs until the end of October, 2024. Until that rebate expires and are fulfilled, mags will be harder to find.
I’ve run 500 rounds through mine in two weeks, with zero malfunctions or magazine issues. Great handgun!

🤣🤣You said it! So many idiots not reading or watching proper instructions.

Beautiful and amazing gun. Proud to say this is my first purchase and can't wait to disassemble and clean this bad boy so I can get to know it better.

Make a 4” carry model.
Took over an hour just to get this right.
I appreciate the tip nonetheless.
I am just so bad at getting it together 😭😭👍👍

@@hiketheball I'd agree not to put it on Springfield because once it locks, it locks for the better.
Are you ever going to sell the trigger assembly?!!
It took Sig 5+ years to sell their FCU to the public. Be patient.

Please do a slide disassembly
Slide disassembly is VERY EASY!
@@Asidebar That's great *How do you do it?*
My 15 rd magazines are missing the punch hole on the bottom what the heck man
I hate the base plates and for that reason I won’t buy any 20 rounders. I’ll stick with the flush 17 round.

Awesome firearm, love mine🤌
Where can I get more 20 rd magazines, no one seems to have any in stock🥲
