Yeah this is an awesome unit I got the 18t . All the processing power you get with this and then the great sounding effects plus the top notch sounding preamps.
Although I would recommend you watch some videos on cable management for a stage. 😁

That is a great concept for a recording device.

Great video, thanks for the information. The sound recording on your videos its really good. I own a Soundcraft Si impact and a Line 6 M20D, and we use two Bose F1 with its subs, and Im thinking on buying the CQ20B, so Im trying to whatch all the reviews and get all the information that I can. The Soundcraft sounds really good, but is big and heavy. The M20D does all what the CQ20B does, but my bandmates opinion on the M20D is that the preamps are more harsh than the ones on the Soundcraft, and I need to tweak them more to sound good. Whats your opinion on the CQ preamps? Thanks.

I would advise you getting the CQ 18. Unless you really need that one extra stereo input. And the preamps sound awesome. Allen and Heath knocked it out of the park with this CQ series.

Ha - yes, and it was brutal because we only had about 8 practice sessions to get ready. Seems like every gig is like that these days.

@@tonyleeglenn I hear you! At least you get to rehearse together! My current life is "working substitute bassist". There are no rehearsals. Deep end of the pool every time. Keeps you on your toes!

Hi everyone. I've been using a Yamaha MG10xu for my small living room setup but would like to upgrade to a small digital mixer. Being in the living room, size is very important but of course, so is sound quality and ease of use. I'm currently running a digital piano 2x1/4"), a sound module (2 XLR), a DAC (2XLR), a mic and stereo guitar. The CQ-12t actually has enough inputs but doesn't have wifi (which I don't need right now) and only 2 effects vs 4 on the 18t and 20b. If the iPad app works fine, do you think it would make sense to buy a 20b and save $200 or should I just bite the bullet and buy the 18t? The Zoom L20r is also a possibility but would the A&H sound that much better (for my use)? I'd really appreciate your input!

I'll be interested to see how others respond to your awesome question. I have the CQ20B as well as a Zoom Livetrak L12 - both of which sound just great. If you have no problems working with the iPad or MacBook Pro, etc. then I think I'd give the edge to the Allen & Heath. Just really nice preamps and effects. Honestly though - either would be a great choice.

@@tonyleeglennThank you for your reply, Tony. I made the mistake of buying a Mackie DLZ when it first came out a few months ago and don't want to make another costly mistake! :)
Springing $900 for a 12t doesn't bother much but $1200 for a 18t just to gain 2 more effects kinda does, that's why I thought buying the 20b at $1000 to use with my 12.9" iPad Pro would make sense (in theory anyway). I don't know how troublesome it would be to have to use my iPad each time I want to play the piano or play music from my computer though.

Can I control the CQ from a Mac computer or only from an iPad or other tablets?

@@hienvu1714 So far I've not used my iPad at all - just my MacBook Pro. It works great this way. Other folks say the iPad is awesome with it. I've just not gone down that rabbit hole yet. Here's a video that shows how I use it with my MB Pro: th-cam.com/video/yfXFH5BbgO0/w-d-xo.html
