I love Bass and Treble. Bass looks so cool with his colors and helmet. I have fond memories of playing Bass in Megaman and Bass for super nintendo on emulator. It wasnt translated yet, I was so amazed such a cool new playable character.
Other Fact : Bass is not a villain. Bass is truly an antihero, just like Shadow the hedgehog( from Sonic the hedeghog Series). => Antiheroes also fight against villains and truly join with real heroes.
OMG I FORGOT ABOUT BASS WITH WINGS!!! Bass has ALWAYS been my favorite character in the entire Megaman franchise. I really want another Bass game. He was the most badass in Battle Network imo. BN needs to be revived and made a little faster paced.
Bass is the best Classic and Battle Network character in my opinion, he's more of a counterpart to Megaman than Protoman, Rock and Rush are soft and roundy, Bass and Treble are like sharp and spiky, more edgy and badass, and their fusion is just *chef's kiss*

If they add another classic megaman character into smash, this is who it needs to be. Not proto. Bass would work way better as an echo anyway and could still make him unique to where he feels different. As much as o love proto, this would be way better
Yeah it's a particular 90s thing. Tons of games tried to use that. Maybe they were fascinated with the visual technology advancements of the time and wanted to put all they got in the products.
I don't care who becomes 3rd DLC for smash bros ultimate... To be honest...the only characters that i think are gonna make it or not making it in the *Smash Bros Ultimate series* is gonna be... (Rayman series) Rayman...maybe? (Megaman) Bass...yes? (Minecraft) Steve...yes ...also, if every final boss becomes DLC on smash ultimate... That'd be really cool if Nintendo did make it happen to be honest... But who knows...if they do add ALL final bosses in any Nintendo game...i'd be higher then being hyped... Wily did a great job creating a robot similar to Mega Man, but all Bass became was Mega Man's Echo Fighter.
