Would love to see a review on the Maxum SX2. It has one of the most unique functional trainer rack integrations with its extended arms. On top of that the integrated counterbalanced smith and all kinds of attachments included (leg press plate, strap safety arms, low row foot plate, lat pulldown leg rollers, landmine with handle, etc).
I used to own a Smith machine. Now I have a Rep rack. I’m really hoping they design a Smith machine that can be integrated with the existing PR-5000 rack.
Coop, you should check out the new Valor Fitness Pro Smith Functional Trainer, looks to be almost identical to this Vesta 3-in-1 but costs only $2,300 compared to $4,000+ @ Vesta! From what I've seen the Valor is the most affordable 3" x 3" 11-gauge steel all-in-one w/smith on the market. Also, we definitely need a review on the MAXUM Fitness SX2, it's $4,000 but seems to be an incredible value with really unique features like integrated leg press, articulating functional trainer arms, and built-in plate-horns for the weight stacks so you get the best of both worlds and can load heavy. Plus, it includes way more attachments/accessories that it looks to be a pretty solid deal as it would cost more to add all the included things to pretty much anything else.
Great review again. Been looking into the Vesta for the reasons you mentioned. 3x3. 1 inch holes. Price. For more money though the MAXUM Fitness SX2 looks like a good choice. Like to see a review on it.
Easily the best one , Ive tested almost ALL OF THEM and this is what I have , nothing wrong with the weight stack pins adds way more weight , the lat pull down doesn't give you the stretch the you want however ,if the put it in the center like the ares or the rogue fm it would be perfect. The rogue fm twin doesn't have pegs for storage 😐 missed overturning, if the ares or rogue drop a counter balanced smith option and peg board , ......game over 💯, until then I will never get rid of this.
I used to hate on smith machines, but a friend showed me how great they were for good mornings and I’ve been using it for more exercises. They’re great for certain movements and are now part of usual program! Quality of the machine varies a ton though and angled variants are still atrocities.
The Rogue FM-6 Twin Functional Trainer with a built in Smith Machine or a REP Ares 2.0 with a built in Smith Machine, from those manufactures would be perfect. I think the draw back to this Vesta Pro Functional Trainer Rack is the lack of a proper Lat Pulldown/Low Row. Just my humble opinion.
These squat racks are bought in bulk from China, that's why a lot of these racks look similar. I think it's like 800 dollars if the company buys at least 10. I forgot the website. Either way, I'm still looking into buying this or the c10. 😀
I purchased the 3-n-1 about 3-months ago from Vesta in the clearcoat and love this unit. I added the weight pins for Lat/Low Row and hasn't been a problem.
I have the force USA G6. I never understood a counter balance smith. You have to add a ton more plates , more work and energy wasted. And I do not recommend force usa. If you came from other racks , for force usa you can see a bunch of short cuts and where the low quality is, where the bad design designs is when you put it together. When I recieved it I had so many defects parts . Like two left bottom bases instead of a right and left, missing punched in threads, defective Smith slide, and theist goes on. I had to wait 3 weeks to get those parts delivered to me. Racks like vesta have a more simple design so I'd assume less issues.
Another thing: Similar to a poorly lubricated machine, if you are training to build muscle, the counter balance does the opposite of what you want, it makes the concentric harder and the eccentric easier.
Compare this to the Rep Ares 2.0! I understand the Ares will win, however I would like to know if the difference in price and options makes it a closer comparison than it otherwise would be. Basically a comparison between the Rogues/Reps of the world vs the Vestas/Danes.
Would love to see your take on Elite Pro FTS2 rack. This rack includes a smith. They combine a 1:1 lat pull at the top and separate 2:1 ratio at the bottom of 3x3 uprights. Also comes with Vendetta type jammers. I’ve also seen some videos of them attaching the jammers to cables. But no one ever talks about it. Would love your take on it !!
@GarageGymReviews as far as the lat pulldown on a functional trainer, there are some company’s that make a lat pulldown extender that is attached to an upright and allows the user more height for a true lat pulldown vs being angled. Jacked up fitness sells one and so does French Fitness. Now if they fit this rack is another question but if you know how to modify things like I do, then they can work.
Would be nice to see jacked up fitness rack reviewed There’s almost nothing on them on youtube I have one and its nice and all but id like to see how it compares to the rest of the machines. Im going to compare it to my ares. 2.0 once it arrives if it arrives after all the delays lol
I have the Vesta Fitness 2-in-1 Rack, which is this rack minus the Smith. I really like it. Couple things, even with 93" model, I managed to top out the cables for single-arm lat pulls sitting on my adjustable bench, centered in the rack. I'm 5'10". If they offered a 103" option that would be fantastic. Last thing, I'd like to be able to buy additional stacks to upgrade to even more weight on the cables. I emailed the company about it but got no response. :/
I prefer the side pointed lat pulldown from prime fitness over center rack lat pulldowns. Doesn’t take a way from space and you can just throw a lat pulldown seat on the upright
Counter balance weights are great to add resistance bands to. This allows heavier lengthened positions on something like a bent over row. Looking for a company to add band pegs to the counter balance system
Wish the Eleiko prestera smith attachment would fit on other racks like Rogue 😩 Hopefully rogue/rep figures something out that checks all the marks with smith attachments
COOP, can you review the Trak Handle Sport cable attachment handle? I’m starting to see more buzz about these handles and there is really nothing like them.
I wonder how well a Rhino or Bells of Steel Lat/Low Row attachment would fit this if it has similar widths. Or just hook both pulleys with a Darko longy bar for a similar setup. Either way I really like this setup and Vesta offers a shorter option.
You should compare this to the Force USA C10! The sliding bench for hack squats looks very interesting on the C10, never seen something like that before.
@@mikepal830 Yeah the C10 looks great! I want to get some more opinions on it before I look into getting one. Extremely versatile and relatively affordable for what you get.
@@raven-19x Yeah I can imagine haha. I wish companies would care more about assembly, my bambulab 3d printer was so easy it made me forget how bad other companies can be.
@@mikepal830 If you like the Vesta I'd definitely take a look at the new Valor Fitness Pro Smith Machine Functional Trainer, looks to be the same as the Vesta 3-in-1 but significantly lower cost. Harbor Heavyweights HH80 V2 also seems to be the same machine so I'd compare them all and pick the one that is lowest cost. I'd also check out the MAXUM Fitness SX2, that one is pretty unique and integrates a leg press and articulating arms similar to the C10 but longer. Comes with a ton included too while still using standard 3" x 3" 11-gauge steel and 5/8" holes. I'd personally pick one of those over the C10 since they all use standard upright and hole sizing so you'll be able to find other attachments from many brands compared to being locked into the Force USA ecosystem with the C10. But if the C10 has everything you'd ever want it's still a great choice and the sliding bench add-on is definitely unique.
I have one and my only problem is what he mansion the lat pull down , it has 200 lbs but cause the mechanical advantage u will pull 140 lbs. I need at least 200 pounds, those weights stacks should be 300 lbs
Are we ever going to see a Rogue FM functional trainer review by Coop? It feels like we are being trolled with reviews of everything EXCEPT the biggest equipment release of the year by the biggest home gym supplier.
Counter balance sucks. It completely eliminates the natural feel and smoothness of a movement. The fact that this is what you'd encounter in a commercial gym is a point against them. Good for them for offering the normal one though. This is more a comment about Coop painting it as if it's a positive lol.
Everyone’s waiting for the Rogue FT reviews and coop is letting Gluck eat his lunch. Lol
😂💯
Gluck probably has the Ares 2.0 review out in next two weeks. @@THEREALTWISTEDINSANE
Seriously. Nobody cares about this Vesta rack haha 😂
On the contrary, i had the Ares 1.0 , I have the 2.0 and the rogue fm twin on order now , that being said this is the best I have had so far 🤷🏾
Would love to see a review on the Maxum SX2. It has one of the most unique functional trainer rack integrations with its extended arms. Dont think we'll ever get a review for this machine thats probably superior in function and price unfortunately.
Where's the Rogue FM Rack Review?
Been hoping you’d get to this review at some point, thanks Coop!

I prefer the side pointed lat pulldown from prime fitness over center rack lat pulldowns. Doesn’t take a way from space and you can just throw a lat pulldown seat on the upright
The bad pulldown/row implementation makes this a deal breaker for most of us
I know it's a radical concept but pull-ups and barbell rows do the same thing.
Counter balance weights are great to add resistance bands to. This allows heavier lengthened positions on something like a bent over row. Looking for a company to add band pegs to the counter balance system

You should be able to modify the ratio to 1:1 by removing the pulley on the weight stacks and attaching the cable directly to the stack.
How about jacked up fitness

What exercises do you do that you use less than 45 pounds?
Female teenagers or newbies for one. Rehab work as another example. For coop idk what he would use.
For Coop, bench press, squats, deadlifts... Featherweights exist! There are dozens of us!
Can you do a review on Force USA C10?
This is niceeeeee!
You should compare this to the Force USA C10! The sliding bench for hack squats looks very interesting on the C10, never seen something like that before.
