I really hope that more polished blue finishes become available in the revolver scene in the near future. You just can't beat the timeless looks of them. Glad Heritage/Taurus debuted this model, and I'd love to see a vintage service-gun style, 4", 6-shot model with the same finish sometime!
This is essentially the Taurus Model 85 without the barrel under lug, and with retro grips. Fantastic revolver. I have a blued steel M85 that I still carry regularly after almost 30 years. I do wish Heritage had put the older, squared cylinder release on the Roscoe. That 3" barreled version is very high on my wish list.
Hit your target with your FIRST shot.... forget about the other four rounds. If you can't carry it... it won't protect you. If it's too big, you won't carry it. If it's expensive, you won't buy it or have it to carry. Sounds like a great little revolver. Looks like a Taurus resolver. Nice knife.
If you need to reload a revolver during a real self-defense scenario, you're up against to many people... that opens up a whole lot of OTHER questions. IRL, most of these situations rarely go beyond 2 rds, so that is why revolvers are still effective to this day. Simple to use, less user failures in high stress situations.
The larger left side grip won't make a difference reloading with speed strips, only speed loaders. But speed strips lay flat in the pocket and are more practical than speed loaders for concealment even if slightly slower. Speed strips still can be used proficiently with practice. The reality that some folks are out of touch with is that no one will have time to get through a cylinder let alone have time to reload in a five second gunfight where accuracy is more important than capacity. If kept clean and using the right ammo, revolvers are more reliable than autos and safer to carry. They can be fired inside a pocket and while the muzzle is flush against a target unlike autos that have a moving slide. A good get off me gun. They are far from being obsolete even if they are outdated. They have advantages that an autoloader can't match. Their ease of use and better trigger make them timeless. Five or six guaranteed rounds are better than one guaranteed round and 14 possible. Any pistol requires practice for proficiency no matter what mode of carry. Good video.
on most of the places online that you can buy one they're under $300 before shipping and paperwork and they have the true vintage look to them making them not only cheap but stylish if you're into that look and are looking for a reliable pocket pistol
Because the old style Charter Arms are overpriced and in very used condition not too mention a gamble considering the years between Charter's initially successful period to the long years were they were worst revolver manufacturer in the country until now, new style are just not great.
The benefits and the advantages of modern semi-autos can’t be ignored. However, people get so caught up in capacity and accessories that that’s all they care about. Those excess of rounds don’t matter if you don’t HIT WHAT YOU ARE SHOOTING AT. Also if you need more than 5 rounds (which statistically is unlikely) you will need to explain and justify round 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, etc. to law enforcement and likely a jury.

I highly doubt any potential assailant has ever started down the barrel of a loaded 38 special and just brushed it off as a "museum piece" 😅
Cant wait to get my hands on one !!!!
Well, did you get one?
I just bought one at sportsman's fulfillment, waiting to get it, $291/shipped.

Nice knife.
Technically, it IS a Taurus. Made in Brazil by the same parent company.
Hopefully they will start to make this in 32h&r magnum
Good info here on this revolver, thanks.

Love that front pocket. Didn't recognize the logo on the pants. What brand are those? Thanks
Didn't know Taurus was related to Heritage.
Use that knowledge for good, and not for evil. 😂
Looks nice but definitely needs six rounds though
What is the single action and double action trigger pull?
WHY would they make the grip where a speedloader is hard to use???????????????? I wanted one until that bit of info.
What is the actual finish? Blue, etc.?
Blued
Why would I buy this over a charter arms undercover (old or new style)?

That and you can't beat the piss outta somebody with a plastic frame gun.
It have a super heavy trigger pull like a S&W 642? NO LITTLE woman can shoot those things.
